A love supreme. Ryang Eum was able to express it not only with his sublime voice, but also with his eyes and body. Wonderful character in a wonderful drama.
Just discovering this actor who looks like he'll have a very bright future. I really liked the somewhat subtle side love story and felt so sad for Ryang eum. His love could never be returned as anything other than a good friend or brother. Very poignant. Hope to see him in future roles. Also, the music in this drama is just beautiful.
just finished watching "my dearest". can't believe they left him like this, my heart is broken into pieces and aches for ryang eum. he is in fact the most empathetic most loyal beyond words person who janghyun had in his life. the onesided love of his is literally so painful to look at cause you know HE deserves better, HE deserves someone who will love him ten times more than he loves janghyun and one hundred times more than janghyun will ever love ryang eum. i just CAN'T forgive them all for how they left him like that all alone, without any love despite the love he was giving and giving endlessly. i just truly live this character with my whole heart and i didn't cry when i was the end i cried my eyes out KNOWING ryang eum was isolated lonely and heartbroken. and i f know for sure this angel STILL loved that man because he literally doesn't know how to not be kind and loveable... i have no words how angry and painful to witness him like that ryang eum indeed is the most beautiful person, he has beautiful and fragile yet strongest soul. I don't think people understand how mush he had SACRIFICED just because of how much love he has. and even when he made decisions some people labeled as "wrong" or "selfish" he actually didn't. whatever he was doing he did from his loyalty and from fear for his loved one. I totally agree with you. I was hoping to at least see them all together one last time before they decide how they will move on with their lives. The ending was a little rushed imo. I think he would have deserved to at least get to see that Jang Hyun is alive. I'm sure he would have been able to accept his relationship with Gil Chae knowing that his hyung is happy. He definitely deserved a better ending. I think they shouldn't have left this part of the story open. But apart from this, this was the greatest drama I've ever watched.

I just discovered him as Haru (Jimin) in Begin≠Youth. He indeed an excellent as newcomers... And watching him in My Dearest is another level. Although this drama air last year and i just found it this month😂. Hoping he'll get more opportunities and more challenging character as he wanted to. I also would like to watch him act as Psycho character or a villian 🤭🤭
I just finished watching my dearest. Already saw too many people hating on 량음 it hurts. He's my favorite and his story broke my heart. In my opinion, besides his love for Janghyun, he is also a key character who gave his heart for low class people. He always advised hyungmin to get involved in those matters even when he wanted to live a free life (probably bc of his past traumas). If Gilchae was the lead's moon, maybe Ryang Eum was the star leading him. His unrequited love is the saddest story i've seen and it will stick with me forever. I relate too much and feel deeply his sufferings. Even if he took wrong decisions, he was also wasn't appreciated enough for the brillant things he did. Blaming him for the main of the leads is so wrong cuz they made their own choices all the way. He was just very scared to lose him and that something bad would happen to him. Never has he expected Janghyeon to belong to him. Plus it takes a lot to still stand up for the person you love even if you are not the chosen one. He sacrificed his life. Anyway, so conflicted and dear to me. I'm forever greateful to Kim Yoonwoo for portraying him so well.

Who the hell said, it's a HE ??????? When jang hyun didnt come back to Ryang Eum , when he promised him ??? ,ONLY ATTAINING THE LOVE OF THE FL , was presented to us as HE , they could have just at least let them meet with Eum, so that later he can choose to leave them and move onto some other place to live his life ???? I seriously cant help but find amusing that people are hating him for the choices he made , like any person who would think that only good things should happen to their dearest , to him being near to Gil chae was the cause of misery to jang hyun for which he tried to prevent them for being close . The scrpit could have just presented his attachment to Hyun as being over dependent , or bro -con ,if they were just going to leave him with this rubbish end!!! It would be better to keep all 3 of them separated!!!
Also I'm still curious who was the prominent figure (mentioned at the very beginning) that made sure Ryang Eum was provided better than most in this prison. Was it Nam Jeon Jun, out of guilt? Or someone else?
Je pense qu'il a du tenir des discours a l'encontre du roi, du sort qu'il a réservé aux captifs pourtant des habitants de Joseon... Riang eum a du tenir des propos a l'encontre du regime en place... Il etait lié par le coeur a tout ce qu'avait entrepris Lee Jang hyeon qu'il admirait tant... Il a du vouloir défendre sa cause alors que celui ci etait détesté par le roi... Et donc, comme son discours dérangeait, on a du le mettre en prison en le faisant passer pour fou a cause de son discours dérangeant qui donnait une mauvaise image du regime en place...c est ce que j'en ai deduis. Mais par contre, a sa sortie, on le voit retrouver Gil chae... Est il resté seul dans la maison de Gil chae, quand elle est partie a la recherche de Hyeon ? On ne sait pas ce que riang eum devient a partir de la... C est triste.

I didnt understand why his hair was grey cause at first i thought it was to show he had aged etc but then the rest of the characters’ features stayed relatively the same. Since he was younger than the rest of them, shouldnt they all be spotting grey hair?
