  • This is a chapter from 'The Antiquity of the Holy Royal Arch' which was Published by F. de P. Castells in 1927. In it he examines in detail some of the astronomical and astrological symbolism underpinning the Royal Arch degree.
    I have redacted some small portions of the text which I did not feel were appropriate for a general audience.
    In the text he refers to a book 'The Apocalypse of Freemasonry' which he also wrote. I have uploaded a copy this to the From the Quarries website and it can be downloaded here: fromthequarrie... . I have not yet had time to read this , but am looking forward to it!

    Wow, wonderful graphic background to accompany the text. The Holy Royal Arch is essential (in my opinion) study for Master Masons seeking to complete their understanding of "Ancient Craft Masonry". Great video! Thanks. 🤵Royal Arch Masonry, PHP 🇺🇸

      @Buddy, that's an easy question. Essentially, the first three degrees involve a Lost, but the Holy Royal Arch involves a Discovery. That's all I can say about it on social media, but that is definitely the essence of it. 🤵🇺🇸

    I'm curious have you ever heard the term synagogue, broken down as the "Sin of Gog and Magog," or "synagogue"? Look into what sin it is they committed.

    So, would I be correct in thinking that the reason Anu represents the Zodiacal signs starting with Taurus is because the Babylonian Astrological system was founded in the Age of Taurus?
    I have one more question though, because it was said in the video that the Babylonians had the first system of Astrology... But didn't the Old Egyptian Priesthood have a system of Astrology in the 24th and 25th century BCE? Or is it that the Babylonians popularized it for the common people?
    Really enjoying your videos! Thank you

      Thanks for your interesting questions!
      1. I don't think anyone really knows why Taurus is first - It's a long time ago, and records have inevitably been lost. That being said, there is a steady stream of new research emerging. For example, this was only discovered in the last week or so! www.theguardian.com/culture/2021/oct/16/figures-of-babylon-oldest-drawing-of-a-ghost-found-in-british-museum-vault
      2. Remember, this text was written nearly a century ago. We know a lot now that they didn't know then. I wouldn't be surprised in Babylon (Mesopotamia generally) and Egypt were developing systems simultaneously and influencing each other as they did so.

    Question, I've been noticing a lot of my fellow brothers cannot always afford copys of out of print or rare occult and freemasonic books, so I've been putting together a free ebook library of occult and Freemasonry books. I'm only up to about 600 books, so I was curious since you too have ebooks, have you ever put together an ebook library of this sort? Or know of lodges or brothers who have? I'd love to combine them all together, what are your thoughts on this matter?

      My apologies for not responding sooner. I think the idea of an ebook library is a valuable one. I have a partially completed archive on my website (fromthequarries.com/library/texts/index/), but it isn't really organised, and I must have nearly a thousand more texts scattered around that I haven't got around to uploading.
      It would be a great idea to work together on a more structured approach. What are your thoughts?

    Doesn’t the mazzaroth have 13 zodiac signs?

    • @FromtheQuarries
      @FromtheQuarries  2 года назад +1

      Good question and well noticed! I had to do some research 👍👍
      The short answer is that there is an embolismic (13 lunar month) year that occurs every 2-3 years in the mazzaroth. In this video the discussion centres on Babylonian calendar systems, which I believe predates the Jewish, it would be interesting to know when and how this transition took place and how the HRA references it!

      Like everything in freemasonry, you aren't given anything. We are told a very surface-level yet cryptic explanation of things, but it is up to you to dig deeper and uncover the true meanings. Ask the right questions, and the answers will be revealed. Knock and the door shall be opened

      @@demonslayer9979 well either way, I'll just clear some things up for you:
      - 33 degrees isn't some high rank of Freemasonry. It's only part of the Ancient and Accepted Rite (England) or Scottish Rite (US). There are only three degrees of "rank" if you like, everything else is like an optional addition for different side orders (such as Scottish rite).
      - in freemasonry, you have to believe in something greater than yourself, like God. However you are not allowed to be a freemason if you worship the devil.
      - I hear a lot of conspiracy theories along the lines of "you only find out the real stuff at 33rd degree"... But remember, there are really only three degrees. The Scottish Rite's 33rd degree doesn't make you any higher in rank or status in any way than a standard 3rd degree Master Mason.
      Unfortunately there is an awful lot of disinformation, hatred and misunderstanding of Freemasonry which is very unfortunate and unfair. I wish people could be less hate filled about things they don't understand and try to learn about it instead

    • @demonslayer9979
      @demonslayer9979 Год назад

      @@mungulor Why cant you believe in the devil? ofc you can be mason if you believe in satan isnt he higher being as well? if you believe in satan then you do the oaths on devils bible.
      to my knowledge all masons respect albert pike doesnt matter if scottish or york. And he did say that about lucifer and adonai. If you know the history of masonry it is also tied to devil worship ( freemasons come from templars, who were devil worshippers
      i have studied the mason well and i do know them better than 99% masons themselves. I understand only very few masons know the truth about what theyre doing and theyre are purposely mislead ( source: morals and dogma )
      i know lot of other things about masonry as well, like the very 1st mason in the world and what the harp and compass truly means.
      and masonry isnt based on christianity either, becouse bible forbids doing oaths.
      personally i dont care what you do in masonry or what you worship its your business i just wanted to tell that this is what albert pike said about what theyre doing and what they believe in.
      ill post the full quote in next comment
