What a handsome young man Prince Harold was...and she was beautiful too. Such a lovely story, with a very happy ending.
My favorite part is that Harald put his foot down, stood up to his father and said, no Sonia, no marriage EVER! That is ballsy for a guy in his 20's! As a dressmaker and an educated one, I bet she designs almost all the clothes she's ever worn. It must be a dream to have no budget so can use the best fabrics although I know they try to live as budgeted as they can. I wish King Charles had stood up to his parents decades ago when he knew he wanted Camilla but was denied so he 'settled' and married Diana. Just think of how many tragedies could have been avoided.
I can think of 3 off the bat and Dianna's extended family 👪 as well as Camilla's husband and children as well 😞😓😩 💔 Sad 😔

I do agree with you but Camilla had had a previous relationship, then future queens had to be virgins and they were checked that they were. But Charles changed all that he said his sons would marry whoever they wanted and it didn't matter about their past life

Queen Sonjas mother Dagny hide them in her house before they was engaged and she only talk with her God about it. They lost one of Sonjas brothers in an accident before Sonja was born and they lost Sonjas sister too in suicide in 1970 - and in the same way Queen Sonja and King Harald lost their son-in-law Ari Behn. Ari was an artist like his mother-in-law and they had a good relationship even after Ari was divorced from their daughter.
The Queen and the King lost two unborn children too. Like many others they have experienced good things and difficult things in their lives. The king has comming out from hospital now where he have been for a short time so here in Norway we hope he will be in good health and the Queen as well. They are both born in 1937. Hardly a dressmaker more a fashion designer because Daddy owned a clothes factory. Spoke all those languages and had a very fine education because Daddy was rich. She met her prince at a society party so she was from upper society.

No. Father owning a clothes factory or having a fine education and speaking many languages won't make you upper class. Especially in the circles of royalty and aristocracy, you family has to have been titled to be considered upper class. Everyone else, including professionals such as doctors, lawyers, judges and bankers, is a commoner.

If Charles had employed this tactic instead of using poor Princess Diana, but we wouldn’t had in our lives the joy of had known her, King Harald is truly a Gentleman, honorable and a rightfuly deserving admiration and praise for waiting to be let married to his true love. And Camilla herself wasted no time , quickly marrying APB the very minute Charles left for the navy. Charles subsequently went on to marry Diana and the two C’s made her life miserable. The Royal couple of Norway waited 9 whole years, hurting nobody, loyal to each other. Now that is a love story, Charles and Camilla’s seems like a tawdry affair which hurt a young girl and still hurts the two sons.
