The fact you took the books you loved to little free libraries instead of taking books you didn’t enjoy. 🥺❤️
yes exactly, i loved that
That’s what I do 😂 it’s so mean hehe but I can’t part with my books
@@VStraussFinally someone else without a moral compass 😭
(HOW CAN YOU LEAVE 5 STAR BOOKS BEHIND???)
That is so sweet
@@VStraussif we had them here I’d do the same
Love the fact that doing a reading challenge for a week is a challenge for Haley yet I can’t read more than one book in like a month💀
To be fair, this is also her job.
You are right. Most people forget that this is her job. @@AllisonJones1875
@@Clemmiesbookiesur weird
@@Clemmiesbookies I was literally just pointing out that it's easier for her to read more because she has the time to do it. I didn't say anything derogatory at all.
@@Clemmiesbookiesshe’s right though… you seem like the cynical one😟
The concept of Free little libraries is so nice! It'd be nice to have them here.
@@thethriftyfawn I don't think I'd be able to do so, the law on what you can and can't do is tight where I live.
@@Tired_Kye Bloody Putin :(
I recommended my friend make one when her neighborhood started to go after the library books. At least when they're on your property they can't really do anything about what books you put in it.
like if haley slays every time
⬇️
Same here. We have "free library" beside an actual library, And everything inside it are unwanted uninteresting books that people wanted to get rid of. Ugh it's just so sad to see
Haley you should really read quotes from books more often to us....because it gives you a taste of the book without needing to read it, so thats just extremely nice.
hayle should actually rlease an audioubook book cuz her reading the quotes from normal ppl is SUPERIOR
Haley* 😭 also release*...

haha , God ur so funny
Love that you're reading books that aren't the norm! That's the exact reason I love to get all my books at thrift stores. Would love to see a video like this with thrift store books!!
Haley is so gonna write a book and get it published before she’s 30
Well, she is a well-known booktuber so I wouldn't imagine it being hard for her to get published if she does write a book
@samanthamartin7430ok
this did indeed aged well
Yes it did lol
1:25 haley's jacket is giving MAJOR coraline vibes
This should be a series!
Marianne had the sense that her real life was happening somewhere very far away, happening without her, and she didn't know if she would ever find out where it was or become part of it.”
this line in normal people gets me , Haley ure making me want to revisit my love for normal people again ❤
i’ve had a really tough year in losing 3 family members. one being my gma who raised me n was my bestfriend. i got back into reading and its help me feel like i can escape. ur channel has rly helped me. love u.
Aw I’m praying for u God loves u❤️
i hope you get better
@@SophiaLovesJesus-1 thank u sophia 🙏🏼
@@mar0000 i hope ur doing ok. send lots of love ur way too 🫂
It’s np I’m here for u❤️
This is something i would rather see go viral and become a trend than anything involving shopping!!
Haley you should video making your own Little library and stock it full of your favorite reads.❤
YESSSSSS
i love love that you brought books to donate as well!! it’s so important to keep these open for readers
I love how she makes a sponsor so entertaining ❤
It’s a skill not many have
I am OBSESSED with the Free Little Libraries!!! 😍
I love normal people and conversations with friends! I feel like Rooney always writes very realistic characters with realistic thoughts compared to what we are used to reading. It makes me feel closer to the characters throughout their lives and thoughts:)
I think it depends. For me, I thought the characters were super bland, and her handling of characters handling trauma is abysmal.
Can I be honest, I really don’t understand why a book is automatically bad because it discusses a taboo topic? It’s fictional, it’s not meant to be a manual to follow for your real life…
Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure she didn’t say the book was bad, only that it wasn’t for her
Haley: "That's my outro."
Ryan: "Nice."
They are so cute
I really love this concept ! I personally call these libraries "wild libraries" or "bibliothèques sauvages" in french, and almost everytime i go to one of these, i find absolute pearls ! Truly the best place to find unexpected stories :D
Debut doesnt mean its the first book shes ever written. Its the first book of hers that ever been PUBLISHED. To be a writer you have to send your stuff in and get rejected. Im sure Sally Rooney went through so much
Yeah, I hear all the horrors from my writer friends from Llewelyn and Weiser books. I’m always curious what the books might have been like if they didn’t tell them to change, redact or restructure the books during the editing phase as well.
You guys are haters

I love this. I have my own little library on my front lawn and it brings me and the community so much joy.
I love Free Little Libraries! There are none around where I live which is sad but I still love them. Also I just finished Better Than The Movies because Haley said it was her favorite romance book ever so I had to read it. It is literally my most favorite book I’ve ever read. I annotated the whole time I was reading and I wrote down the lyrics to the songs on the side of the pages and it was so much fun!! If you haven’t read it you seriously need to!
0:46 guys Haley is so gorgeous 🫶🏼
We have a little library in my neighborhood, but it's mostly little kids' books. It does make sense since theres lots of families in my neighborhood and i love the idea! It really plants a love to read for little kids!
I love the Salley Rooney books as well. I read Conversation with Friends and Normal People this past summer in a couple weeks because they were so short. I like how she writes delusions because it helps me picture what the characters may look like.
This is just what I needed after finals this week 💜
as someone who released their debut novel this year, and totally experience the same imposter syndrome, here to tell you to keep writing because your book might be someone's favorite book some day. it constantly makes my day when someone tells me i'm their favorite author or they love my book. So keep writing Haley! You got this and I can't wait to read your future book!!
Your videos are so comforting ☺️
You should totally ready some Andy Weir books, I love the way he writes science fiction!
I LOVE free libraries!! Mostly because I love classics, but I also use some of them to put book pages on a wall, looks super aesthetic :))
Actually "Conversations with Friends" was her debut novel. Glad that you enjoyed "Normal People". I am amongst the party that didn't like it. I'm willing to give her another shot thought. I plan to read "Conversation with Friends" sometime in the future. Hopefully, I'll like that one.
I read 'Conversations with Friends', and I absolutely hated it. I struggled finishing it altogether. I haven't read 'Normal people' but after that I'm not sure I want to
Haley is one of my only two comfort youtubers. I watch almost all my videos on 1.5x, but with Haley's I never do. Not because it's a faster pace, but *because* it's so slow and therapeutic. I love the pinterest-y vibes, and the way her videos manage to be entertaining even if you've never even heard of the book she's reading. I always watch her videos as soon as they come out. :)))
Always enjoyable to see my neighborhood little libraries on RUclips
Haley! You look so pretty in this video I can’t. Yellow is your color, you look so good
A good girl's guide to murder is also one of my favorites
Little libraries are so fun! This is such a fun idea!
You look so cute in the thumbnail it’s giving coraline vibes but not in a creepy way!
We have a little library on my street it’s good because we living in a family oriented neighbourhood so always books for the kids 😊
Bewilderment (by Richard Powers) which you found in the second library is one of my top books! Heartbreakingly beautiful, would recommend!!
I love free little libraries and have come across good finds . They’re fun to explore. I even take pics of them for my instagram and post them because some are so cute and unique .
Love to see you analyzing your reading patterns and picking up stuff outside of your comfort zone!! So cool. Would love to see more like this.
I saw your “silent review of books” on TikTok before watching this, and based on that I definitely thought you hated Normal People 😂
in my neighborhood we have a little library made out of an old telephone box and i visit every week to exchange books. i found gone girl this week and i cant wait to get started since ive been wanting to read it for a while now :)
I’m one of the people who hated Normal People. I just couldn’t get away from the ick feeling I had while reading. But I’m honestly happy you enjoyed it since I gave the book to someone else who wanted to read it. So hopefully she will get a use out of the book and enjoy it where I would’ve just thrown it in the trash. 😅
I’m struggling with this right now. I love so much about the book, but the story is like giving me physically sad reactions. At first I was encapsulated, but now I’m like 😢
i love seeing these libraries, i take a book or two or three each time i see one and i have a collection of about 40 of them
If you ever do this again, reach out to your local library to see about where the little free libraries might be! A lot of the time they know where they are or the "friends of the library" stock them. Friends is the fundraising group for the library.
There’s a free little library where I walk… any books I place in there are gone the next day. I walk at Green Lake State Park in Manlius NY
I LOVED this concept!! Would love to continue seeing you go to little libraries and drop off books and see if they go! Love love love.
I recently read A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder because of watching one of your videos and it got me out of a reading slump and the reason I was in one is because of my ADHD I can not focus on books so thank you. I love your channel and videos 😊
1) this is such a cool idea! There’s a free little library not too far from where I live, I can’t wait to try it!
2) My wisdom tooth extraction site also got infected 😅, hope you’re ok now!
1:56 love when Hailey mentions us guys in her videos. Yes Hailey we exist
6:35 You’re absolutely right, his stories are much more fun to analyze and easier to read with the guiding hand of a teacher. You should revisit the story sometime and I’d recommend Felicia’s Journey by Trevor, it’s a bit confusing but so rewarding in the end
Haley, thank you so much for recommending Red Rising. I finished Morning Star yesterday, and cried probably seven times, sometimes from happiness, thanks for that bc I would never know the joy of the series otherwise
I love the little libraries! I wish there were more near me! 🥹
We have 8 little libraries within walking distance of my house. One of the libraries is highly technical books, a YA one, one for little kids, one in the million dollar and up houses- latest releases and book of the month club books, and one that is full of ARCs. The lady proofs for some of the publishers here in town. Great hunting!
Love Little Free Libraries! And shout out to Nebraska, loved that!
Your videos feels like therapy. I am totally loving your consistency
Last night I was reading The Lost Bookshop, and there are a few great book recommendations within that book. Normal People was mentioned and I bought it! So cool.
I recently got The Lost Bookshop for free from Kindle. It's on my TBR list...
This video is directly responsible for me reading Normal People the last two weeks because your review was such a high recommendation of a book I'd never even heard of; thank you. It is really solid, and I thought the no quotation marks around dialogue gimmick would be confusing and annoying, but I kind of get it after reading it and would be interested in experimenting with something like that in my own work.
This video's also indirectly responsible for me going to my local library for the first time in about 6 months, I think it's cool that your video about little libraries where you actually preferred a book you owned got me to go to my local library and check out the book you owned.
The library has come such a long way- the shelves are getting full 🥰
My vote for the star’s name - comet 💫 since you’re name is Haley and he’s a star - sorry if it’s lame 😂
i think haley met me more book then i've known in my life. thanks haley!
I JUST FINISHED BETTER THAN THE MOVIES it was such an amazing book I hooked me in so fast and is so considering I have a hard time focusing and I finished it in 4 days highly recommended book😘
The fun 😊 starts here
Hi I love your content I was wondering if u could do a video recommending books for middle schoolers because I don’t want to read really kiddy books or adult adult books that r super challenging. U make me want to read again love ur content.
My comfort person
I LOVED “The Martian”. It will remain one of my favorites.
Conversations with friends was actually Rooney’s debut!
I’ve watched this video so many times now, it’s my favourite!😊
I saw you were reading Normal People on your instagram and was so excited to see your review as it's my absolute favorite book! Glad you enjoyed it!
⭐ Video idea: “Reading books in order of their Goodreads ratings…”
Then at the end, you give your actual ranking with the rating that Goodreads gave.
Haley saying she has 7% male viewers, me feeling special because I'm part of that 7%
Stopp this is so creative!!
I would love to see you delve into more literary fiction!! I know the recommendations would be so good💗
Watching your reading vids always gets me out of a reading slump! Keep killing it chica 🥰😁!!!
Little libraries are so fun, I have it on my bucket list to make one (once I have a place to put it😅)
Haley just knows when I need to watch her videos!!😭😂
If you like Sally Rooney and "unlikeable" characters you should def try Naoise Dolan! exciting times is amazing and her newest book - the happy couple - is a classic wedding plot turned on its head it's so fun
Oh my gosh, I can't believe I'm watching a video of you reading Normal People while I'm myself is reading it!! I have that same cover, I found it at a thriftstore! It will be so fun to hear what you think
FIRST!! Also I got just outta reading slump and haley has rlly been helping💕
Omg Haley please read bewilderment! I saw you put it down at the little free library and was sad bc it’s one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever read!
Haley needs to write her own epic book series we'd all love to read❤📚
Love looking at free little libraries and using them.
Hey Haley! I loved this video, and little libraries are so cozy and cute! I think that plants and fairy lights in your library would be a great touch! Happy holidays
I'm inspired to find little libraries near me and exchange books now. 📚
I love this video concept! You should definitely make a part 2💕
Oh my gosh a Nebraska themed little library!
this is such a fun idea! love you haley ❤
i love these little libraries!!
Go Big Red! I noticed the first little library you went to. I'm in Nebraska too.
Same! I definitely didn't click on this video because I was curious about the thumbnail...
I love this concept and I love how you put books you actually enjoyed into the little library ❤️❤️
being from nebraska, i never thought i would see a husker themed free library
I've always found the claim that classics are for dissection and literary analysis while ya books are entertaining and fun. I don't understand why people do not find reading older lit entertaining. I think that there are some real gems out there that are not only incredibly insightful but entertaining as well.
the yellow jacket is like a whole part of your personality now! it's so cute! 💛
That's where I get all my books! I also burrow and buy a few each year, but most of them come from free little libraries. I discovered so many books I love that way!
already so excited, your posts are my comfort after a long day
i just love it when spock just goes on your lap out of nowhere so cute!
This book-sharing & reading vlog is so nice! ❤
Ryan and Haley posting on the same day???????? We’ve been blessed!!!! Power couple of the century
I love this video idea so much! Im thinking of making a free little library too with my school!
i'd love to see you do this again! little free libraries are always so exciting
