Good idea. I created board view at the Everything level, and filter and sorted the tasks by Due Date. The board is divided by the days of the week, and you can also all your completed tasks for the week.
Wow this was soo helpful!!🤗I have been using click up for a couple months and been trying to find a good way to plan my daily schedule. This is fantastic!! Thank you thank you!!
Thanks for watching! You might also like ClickUp's home feature so if you have tasks in different lists and folders you can see what's due for you to work on just for today and what's coming up tomorrow.
This video is exactly what I was searching for, thank you! I do have a question though about using the app for quick entry into the planner. Is there an easy way to make this the primary function your app sees? I want to quickly add tasks from the app on the go. Thank you!
Expected a video of inbuilt tool of clickup. Its tedious to make a new tasklist "daiy planner" when you have many other workspaces. Kindly make a video of putting up of tasks from different spaces into the callender.
Thank you so much for your comment. Respectfully, this video was meant to inspire a cool way to use Clickup and mentions that you can create tasks that repeat themselves so that you don't have to make a 'new task list every day' Also, This video is almost 2 years old. ClickUp has since then created new features like the home feature. So all you'd need to do is click the home button to see all the tasks on your list for any given day as well as your upcoming tasks. Based on the directness of your comment, I can tell how important it is for you to stay organized. Kindly check out the home feature in clickup. You just might love it.
@@organizeyourempire may I make a request? would you do a video on your email inbox management?? I saw that glimpse and was like "OMG" I want to redo my entire system now...LOL
I just discovered Clickup and I am still learning more about it so I discovered your video! I'm so glad I did. I hope you make more videos about Clickup! Also, I would love to see more videos of like the spaces you are utilizing, etc. How many spaces you have etc.
ClickUp has great functionality but takes time to learn how to use effectively. Expect most people to not understand how to use immediately, I tried zentao and don't want to use any other project management tool because it easier to understand and has more features.
I love Clickup and it's my forever tool. I never tried zentao but Clickup is launching features every single Friday to make my life easier. You can't beat that. Like anything... the more you use it, the better you get at navigating the system.
Thank you for sharing this information. New to ClickUp 2.0. Looking for better systems to manage teams and social media. Do you have a video that addresses those issues using ClickUp 2.0?
Hey Krystal, thanks for the great video - super helpful. How do you get such a clean layout / view in Clickup? Mine is riddled with filter menus and option headings
You can actually change your layout in ClickUp to something more appealing. I decide to turn stuff off so that I don't see tags and filters on the individual tasks.
Thanks! Love it! I started using Clickup for my business today (should've a long time ago xD) and I thought if I could find a good way to do so, it'd be perfect to host all my to-do lists. Last Thursday I made FIVE to do lists on pieces of paper and now they're all over the place. You gave me a good start to implement the idea. Thanks :D
Great tutorial - If you delete the task will it disappear from your calender ? I love the idea of planning this way but what if i want to recap on something from last week ? Is it as simple as keep creating new weeks or have a 'dump' task at the end ?
Thanks for your question Mark. You could just look at the tasks you've completed day to day or week to week. I do recurring tasks in ClickUp so that I can look back at the history of that task. I'm happy to do a tutorial on this. :) If you delete a task it is supposed to remove from your calendar.
Also if this method is not your favorite you could just create recurring tasks in a way like a "check emails in the morning" task could be done Monday-Friday and you could have it to recur every day and just focus on logging into the inbox in Clickup daily to get your task list for that day. The inbox in ClickUp is found at the home button.
@@organizeyourempire I do like the way of working on day to day tasks in this way but if i mark it as complete it disappears from my calendar. I need to be able to revert back in the future. I also dont want to have to keep creating New weeks as this defeats the object. Basically i need to complete my task but without taking it from my calendar
OMG!, How cute are you!?... But more importantly, HELPFUL af! Thank you! Love, love, LOVE the little "let's match our days of the week color to task category" hack. Get it!
I really like the idea. I take it though the day boards aren't actually linked to a date; so if you slide a task from one day to another it will not update the date of that task? I suppose you can do this though in one of the other views.. Or I wonder if you could make this type of view as custom view, where those boards actually correspond to dates. I'm new to clickup; I was looking to "project manage" my life so the way that you can instantly turn this into a gantt chart is really neat.
Thank you for a useful video. This is a good way to use click up.I have a problem in another contact number 8 using this particular example is there any way that I can drag and drop Wednesday to be before Tuesday. I know this is a contract example but I am just searching for a simple way to move the status lists and it seems I cannot drag and drop them like I used to do in trello. Thank you for any inputs
I created this list in clickup and its really helpful, but is there a way to keep the recurring task under the correct day (status)? My Tuesday recurring task etc automatically goes to the Things to Do folder after I complete it out
When you set that task tor recurring. it should ask what status you want that task to change to once you mark it as complete. Just pick your respective day status and you should be set going forward.
Love watching how you use ClickUp! I use ClickUp too but I am always trying to see how others use ClickUp to gather more ideas to improve my usage of ClickUp! + 1 like ^^
I love this! Definitely subscribing! I was trying out click up for the last week for myself and was just about to leave the app because I was not a fan of the scheduling in the calendar view. So with this view you can only schedule this week correct? If I wanted to schedule something for next week I would have to add it to the calendar view. Then at the beginning of the next week when I’m scheduling using the daily planner view I have to manually add it under that status. Is that the best way or is there someway to automatically do it?
Quick question. At the start of every new week, what is the best way to keep track of tasks that were done in previous weeks? Is everything overwritten each week?
It works great. You can also just create tasks in their respective projects or lists and use the inbox feature as well. This method is for my people who are very visual.
Great video, but I’m struggling to understand why you’d re-engineer you own planner using custom statuses in ClickUp instead of using one of ClickUp’s core views, the calendar, where you can literally do all of this in an actual weekly calendar view and still keep all your task statuses intact.
Thank you for this tut! I got some ideas for a different scenerio for some odd reason. I actually discovered something nifty in Dubsado this afternoon. If I create a task in Outlook on my desktop, it will sync to my Dubsado Tasks. The reason this is going to be really handy is getting reminders to "get stuff done." If you get a chance, could you do a tut on Task Boards vs WorkFlows? I like the way you explain stuff.
I love this idea. Great one. Yes that is totally doable. I actually like putting things in Clickup or Google tasks because you can make them repeatable tasks. Especially if you have a morning checklist you like to get through each day before you do client work.
I love ClickUp and I never thought to do this! I think I will really like the visual aspect of this and YES! I would love to eliminate my planner! I do 90% in ClickUp already anyway! I love your energy!! Is that a Ruth planner you have? :)
Yes. It's a Living Well Planner. You know your planners girl! I'm with you. I'm doing most of everything in Clickup anyway so that's why I'm using it more and more for planning.
Me too and I was barely using them. Now I just use Clickup and Google calendar for everything. Especially with the fact that I can even access my schedule from my phone or computer at any given time.

If you set each task you add to recur in the same "weekday" status it will overwrite each week.
