6:34 since that edit is showing Yor breaking the Katana with her bare hands I just have to vent out my frustrations about a discussion I read about Yor and Loid Forger. There was a discussion on a RUclips short about who would win in a fight. Yor or Loid. People kept saying that Yor is physically stronger, faster and more agile than Loid and even mentioned that the creator of Spy x Family himself said that Loid stands no chance against Yor in a fight but there was this one guy stating that realistically speaking Loid should be stronger because he is a man and Yor is a woman. And then that guy kept saying that Yor keeps breaking the laws of physics and that he won’t acknowledge that Yor is stronger because it’s unrealistic, okay like 1 it’s a freaking Anime it’s not supposed to be realistic but 2 he acts like as if Loid isn’t breaking the laws of Physics on the regular. The dude literally jumped down from a really high bridge to capture a thief yet Loid didn’t even have the slightest scratch from that fall, realistically speaking Loid should have ended up injured and also Loid can do thing like dodge bullets. This dude be arguing that the laws of physics don’t apply to Yor but they apply to Loid and that they don’t acknowledge Yor’s feats because of that. Like dude Loid does impossible things on the regular as well… and then the guy did a whole 180 trying to argue that Loid can do the same things as Yor and said things like Yor breaking the Katana is not hard, anyone can do that. He literally said a normal human man could break a freaking Katana in his bare hands. Does that guy not know that a Katana is made out of steal? Even if it’s thin it takes way more strength than a human can generate with their hands. Even if that human is super buff. Like… first that guy argued Yor’s feats are unrealistic and he won’t acknowledge that and then he does a 180 and claims that one of those impossible tasks are possible for a normal human being. That guy must have failed every single physics exam in his life with exactly 0 %. And not just that. On a scale from 1 to 10 of how well someone can come up with logical and coherent arguments that guy must be on -100. Like everything that guy said is not logical at all. I would think it would be rage bait but that guy was unironically and genuinely actually thinking that way and thought he was right.
Summary: A really stupid, sexist man was arguing that Yor’s abilities were defying the laws of physics and that women can’t be that strong even though Loid also breaks the laws of physics a lot too. The man then did a complete 180 and started arguing that anyone could achieve Yor’s feats and that any normal person could easily snap a katana in half even though it’s made out of steel. (I agree with the og commenter that this was very stupid and sexist)
(fun fact) It’s actually not entirely impossible to break a katana since the sides of a katanas blade are weaker which is also why you need to be really skilled in using a katana.
