Icon of the seas cruise ship will make its maiden voyage in 2024. The Icon of the seas is five times heavier than the Titanic, construction was completed in June and commercial voyages are expected to begin in January.
Royal Caribbean already owns the largest ship in the world currently in operation, the Wonder of the Seas. However, Icon will overtake the previous ship. Altogether, it is 365 meters long and has 20 floors, with a maximum capacity of 7600 passengers. Wonder has "only" 18 floors and takes less than 7000 people. The crew alone exceeds 2300 people on both ships.
