    you will get a lot more life out of your battery in the trunk if it's wired correctly. it's insulated from cold somewhat and it's away from the heat of the engine. I saw that 1/0 wire had a bad review saying it wasn't copper. is it actually CCA cable? I was going to do with for a mustang with 2 gauge since all the kits use that, but now i'm rethinking it.

      Don't be afraid to use that CCA cable. It's excellent. I used it again in another vehicle and it's still going strong in both cars. Thanks for watching.

    Canada here...not much to say...silicone around housing for ground to minimize moisture...Velcro for carpet...Nice B!

    Interesting seeing the ALB is still on the right hand side of the car over there, here they look so intertwined with the brake master system

    • @ExtremeDailyDrivers
      @ExtremeDailyDrivers  6 лет назад +1

      The ALB will be deleted when I do my brake tuck. I hate it.

    • @stevemclennan2266
      @stevemclennan2266 6 лет назад +1

      I'm hoping to use the parts from the parts car with no ALB to do an ALB delete on my track build when I put the 5th gen brakes in.
      The ALB on my road car has given a minor background issue for a long time, but I seem to have resolved it. I've noticed since putting in the LSD and some decent Michelin tyres all round I struggle to get it to lock up/activate anyway, it just stops with full grip in a real hurry

    I get the fuse idea. The difference between stock setup and this alternate setup is that you're not running the power cable through your entire car, just a few inches inside the engine bay so you'd want one in the back with the battery. Fire bad.

    great video...but on another note...with the ignition coil being that close to the fuel filter and the main coil wire being next to the fuel line, lets hope it don't spring a leak ^_^

      SHOTGUN SMACKED Good point. It’s always a good idea to carry a fire extinguisher.

    I have my negative wire going to a screw hole in the Jack area instead of below.

    • @blazeaglory
      @blazeaglory Год назад

      Yup. Figuratively several closer and easier to access ground locations in that rear quadrant.

    At about 7:40 I see you putting on a large terminal on the end, it looks like one I deal with alot (my work sells them when I can't talk people out of them) because it doesn't crimp on it has set screws holding the wire in, which really doesn't make that great of a connection. Just wondering if it gave you any issues.

    • @ExtremeDailyDrivers
      @ExtremeDailyDrivers  5 лет назад

      It did not give me any issues, but I changed it to a typical mount. I can't remember why, I think it just looked better. Thanks for watching!

  • @gebhardt2
    @gebhardt2 6 лет назад +1

    I would just use a propane torch and drip solder into that cable junction. It will hold better and conduct better with solder. No crimper needed.

    • @ExtremeDailyDrivers
      @ExtremeDailyDrivers  6 лет назад +1

      Yes, what you are suggesting would work better, but I'm terrible at soldering so everything gets crimped.

    Paint the red rubber cover on the frame

    • @blazeaglory

      Spray entire little area with black rubber under coat. The exposed steel will eventually start to corrode otherwise

      Hi Meknear, I will be doing a video soon on how to install a S2000 clutch MC and when I do I'll go over the 4th gen clutch line. In the mean time, here is what I got and where I purchase it from.

    Noticed that there are some elements deleted in the engine bay or relocated like the coil igniter and the vacuum control box, could you do a walk through or diy?

  • @toddmann4395

    Was the negative connection affected at all by the proximity to the muffler? melting, blackening? Also, could you put a battery farther out of the way toward the trunk corner than you did? Thanks Brandon.

    • @ExtremeDailyDrivers
      @ExtremeDailyDrivers  4 года назад +1

      The battery has been working perfectly since I have made this video. No side effects. The battery is not right next to the fender or trunk to give some room in case there is a small collision. You don't want your battery catching your car on fire during a fender bender. Thanks for watching!!

    What is the fuse box power cable normally wired into? Mine got old and snapped off on me and I can’t figure out where it goes other than the positive terminal

    • @ExtremeDailyDrivers
      @ExtremeDailyDrivers  6 лет назад +1

      The other part of the fuse wire is going to your battery.

    what strut brace are you using man?

  • @Redvines69
    @Redvines69 5 лет назад +1

    Not to spam your vid with questions in the comment section, but did you go with the sidepost battery to make it lower or to prevent something from possibly hitting across the top in the trunk?

    • @ExtremeDailyDrivers
      @ExtremeDailyDrivers  5 лет назад

      I went with side post because I'm a moron and didn't notice what I was buying. But in the end, it wound up working. Thanks for watching!

    Hey wats up just a quick question wat rear strut brace is that and also Wat intake manifold do you have ?

    • @ExtremeDailyDrivers
      @ExtremeDailyDrivers  6 лет назад +1

      Wats up. Here’s a quick answer. Check out my other videos. I did one on the strut bars and it’s a stock intake manifold with a Skunk2 sticker.

    So your model is a ALB Prelude due to you having ABS correct?

  • @fkin_stock_lude9039

    Question! [Dont mean it in a negative way at all]
    Is that just a random fuse you used or did you figure out what the amperage running through that wire was?
    If I'm not mistaken, if you get a fuse that's too big or can handle more than what usually runs through that wire when theres an electrical spike or a short it may not actually protect the circuit because it is too big....
    Idk if that makes sense, but to my understanding a fuse is what protects the rest of the circuit and is supposed to blow when there is excessive amperage in that circuit.
    (& doesn't the gauge of the wire affect the amperage?)
    Dope video though!!🤘🏼

    • @ExtremeDailyDrivers
      @ExtremeDailyDrivers  6 лет назад +1

      Great point. My friend Jake mentioned the same thing. The alternator puts out 70amps, so I could have installed something smaller, but everything I read online stated to use 150amp fuse at the battery. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @stevemclennan2266
      @stevemclennan2266 6 лет назад +2

      The point of this fuse is to stop a car fire if the insulation rubs through, and a short like that would blow a 150 amp fuse, so it should be fine, it's purpose isn't overload protection like other ones in the car
