The most important thing that Ottoman Empire did was to stop possible christian crusader attacks for over 623 Years and defended the Islam till 20th century. Without Ottoman Empire, maybe Arabs would be Christians or under controll of European countries now. Thats the most important contribute they did for Islam.
Sad that he died in young years, I am sure Rom was not a Dream and possible with this great Leader.

Fratricide was not a legal practice in the _foundation_ of the Ottoman Empire. The practice of fratricide was legalized by Mehmed II. Mehmed II’s grandfather, Mehmed I, had to fight a long civil war against his brothers Suleyman, Isa, and Musa. The civil war lasted eight years and weakened the empire due to the deaths of soldiers and the lack of unity that followed. As a result, Mehmed II formally legalized the practice of fratricide in order to preserve the state and not further place strain on the unity as previous civil wars did. Mehmed II stated:
"Of any of my sons that ascends the throne, it is acceptable for him to kill his brothers for the common benefit of the people (nizam-i alem). The majority of the ulama (Muslim scholars) have approved this; let action be taken accordingly."
    - _Tarih Dergisi_ , Lawbook of Mehmed II
When Bayezid II (Mehmed's son) died, his son Selim immediately assumed the throne and proceeded to execute his two brothers Ahmed and Korkut. The largest practice of fratricide was committed by Mehmed III when he had 19 of his brothers and half-brothers murdered and buried alongside their father. His successor Ahmed I when faced with public disapproval for the practice of fratricide decided to outlaw the practice and replace it with seniority ascension system along with imprisonment of any prince who would be a possible threat to the throne in the Kafes.

Ottomans were dynastic family rulers who killed brothers for the sake of rulership. Often these brothers had not even vyed for the throne. They were innocent.
Islam does not allow this because beside if you kill one person unjustly it is as if you killed all humanity. And if you save one person it’s as if you saved all of humanity.

Lol innocent hahahaha bro even if they were innocent they were used as threat to ottoman rulers thats why ottoman empire declined when ottoman sultans didn't or COULDN't kill their brothers because of new laws that prohibited it because of ignorant islamic people like you. There were 13 sultans in a time span of 300 years and 26 sultans in the last 300 years when they didn't kill their brothers. Every downfall starts with the declining of authority. With less authority it means absolute downfall, corruption of the system etc. It is then inevitable. Ottoman sultan mahmud 2 could pass reform BY KILLING HIS BROTHER. The janissaries that came to do coup returned home know why? There was no alternative for the throne and so they obeyed mahmud 2 knowing they would be replaced with new army. Also there were 300 grand vizirs know why? Succesful ones were replaced because of army pressure on sultan by threatining him with his brothers by saying long live prince X. They forced him to place corrupted vizirs. And when the corrupted army lost a battle they scapegoated the vizir but in reality they were the problem by not listening and so the almighty position of grand vizir also became a shithole. The sultan could not refuse if he did he would be killed because there are other alternatives to the throne. 63 vizirs till brother fratricide ending in 300year and 230 vizirs in the last 300 years of the empire.
