- Former Sheffield United star Michael Brown reveals what it was like to play in that historic 3 - 0 loss to West Brom and how it felt to play in a game that was abandoned due to lack of players!
Maddest game I’ve ever been to. My mate a Baggies fan was at the other end and we drove home laughing our heads off at what we’d just seen.
What football used to be about. Not about it anymore though.
One of my favorite players as a kid, Michael Brown, was gutted when he left The Blades.
My favourite ever City player and part of the Gillingham ‘99 team. I don’t know why we sold him to you
@@maselm one of the dirtiest players ever
@@sherlockgnomes8971 Oh yeah. Loved a good two footer did Brownie
The best midfield player of his generation if only he'd had fat Frank's agent
Although I knew about the Battle of Bramall Lane, that's the first time I've heard the background to it in so much detail. Going for independent medical exams was a wise move.
I can see Browns point. Normal speed Santos tackle look ok. In slo-mo absolutely dreadful
Shows the standard of Brown , he was a dirty bastard on the pitch.
It does NOT look at normal speed. It looks fucking terrible! 😂
haha...no..
Also have seen it said that Warnock only bought Santos into that game to take out Johnson - didn't play him in previous games, didn't want to keep him, just promised him he could have a go at Johnson as payback before he sold him off at the end of the season. I don't know why people fall for his endearing idiot act, the only sport Warnock should be allowed anywhere near is wrestling...
Im a arsenal fan I remember watching this game it was unbelievable crazy never seen a game like it
Underrated channel this I like the perspectives and opinions you get from ex players on the events
Sheff utd lost the plot that day. Brown and curle were lucky to not see a red card. Funny old game
Let's just look at it from Gary Megson's point of view, he would have been extremely angry and emotional after the game, one of his players got 2 footed and one of his players got headbutted, your not going to be too happy with the opposition after that.
And also let's just imagine if it had been the other way round, If Sheffield United had been the victims in this, Warnock would have ranted about this for months afterwards and would have probably called the ref a bottler for not sending off the 4th guy.
Swings and Roundabouts.
That's because it goes deeper than West Brom mate, he's a pig, wearing his piggy heart on his sleeve. 🐷🐖🐽

Oh cry me a river ffs!
Warnock would still be going on about it now if it happened against him.
He hasn't even got over Freddie Sear's goal that wasn't given at Ashton Gate which was far more recent and also had a legitimate reason of being ruled out
True and recently Warnock said the ref had a bad game that day. Yes he should have given Blades another 2 red cards but I think he had a good game otherwise.
Can’t find the full video for this one. Can anyone point me in the right direction ?
Up untill i saw on sky sports he was going to Aberdeen..i legit thought scott brown and micheal brown were same human
Was there a Michael Brown podcast? If so where can I find the full video?
Loved Brown at Leeds, biggest shithouse and loved him
The Brilliant goal against Wednesday that night at Bramall Lane. Blades 3 Owls 1
Your biggest ever achievement that ain't it for you blunts
@@mitchtheowl5415 Hahaha 🤣 hardly, but it's always nice to win as as usual against the Massive 🤣😂.
Warnock knew he was spicing things up did he? Anyone can see what sort of message he have to the subs. All these years later and blades still can't tell the truth. Only one team played football that day. Boing boing!
In normal job you'd be sacked .The comment laughed all the way home lol 😆 .Go to see a match end up watching something you couldn't make up .That headbutt should have been an on the spot sacking .Couple of great goals thrown in .
Sheffield utd were a disgrace that day
But we’re never boring. Even now 😂🤣
Who did Darren Moore really think he was the doughnut would have been wiped out if he had carried on
You boys need to get Rob Kozluk on or Chris Morgan. Kozzy is a real character 👍

@@haroldkane9714 hahaha , still doesn’t make him classy ?? He was far from classy as a player at all . One of the dirtiest players of his time . 2 footers every where
@@sherlockgnomes8971 Neil Warnock rated him highly, say no more
@@haroldkane9714 exactly 😂 Neil Warnock, says it all . Shithouse manager and shithouse player
The baggies would have won the game anyway Sheffield Utd were terrible and one of the oldest team to have worn the shirt ....I would have loved to have seen this Sheffield Utd team play rugby a team full of old men and passed there sell by date....I guess this team will always be remembered for something and they won nothing!!!!!!!!! I was a kid at the time and it taught me how so called professional players should have retired a long time ago!!!!!! great lesson to all that watched the game...
Warnock cheated that game, disgraceful, truly embarrassing.
The state of this guy almost seeming proud of all this 🙄 " I can feel this tear" than ran down the tunnel 🫣
Megson's 'purple head'!
All Blades aren’t we

Classless club.
Do we care?
ANY club that appoints Warnock is classless. I don't mind Sheff Utd these days and they played us off the park last season at the Hawthorns. Hope they do ok in the greed league.
I was 10 in the cop behind the goal front row shouting booo bcos west beon players never got booked first ten mins they were violent as owt, but United took it too far.
You could see both management teams try their best to wind up and then play victim, you knew something would happen before the game started. But to see west bron players elbow n slide in that’s when united t their keeper a stupid thing to do and that was it. United couldn’t handle West Brom’s technical ability n seemed a bit out their depth but there was no need for recklessness from both sides so they both had it coming.
One bloke got arrested in the west bron end, then two blokes next to me, and I was forth just for saying boooo 🤷♂️ the police wouldn’t let me go lol. Seriously. All I said was boo at the top of my voice.
But what entertainment!
My dad took me to games I hated united n tbh my dad was useless n a horrible bloke but I’ll never forget this day. The look on browns face said it all. He knew what he was doing so don’t be fooled. Watch him pause when he’s asked questions!
Gary m was okay it was his staff n players as well that were vile!
Sheffield United and Neil Warnock were a disgrace and both club and manager should have been severely punished for there actions.
As for these videos giggling about it

Neil Warnock will go down in history as a great manager…. History has already forgotten Gary Megson..
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. God stop, my ribs.
This game changed our (west brom) season; possibly our decade. We we're doing ok but not really pushing on, then we started on a unbelievable run of 1 nil wins that saw catch and overtake our lovely neighbours, by the last game of the season we had over turned a 18 point gap with 12 games to play!!! Wo1ve5 even had their promotion winning party ha ha! And lost in the play offs!! We went on to become a yo yo team for a few years but who cares? We eventually stuck in the prem for 8 years only to fall out last season thanks mainly to a takeover and bad managerial appointments.
But if there was ever a turning point that was it!!
Eddie wolstoholme was the ref (check spelling) he was also in charge the day we beat palace on the last day of that season, to win promotion.
We would never have got promoted without this game
Blades beat you 6-0 the next year though.
