Casiguran, one of the northern towns of the Province of Aurora, is located at the base of the central Sierra Madre and is about four hours' drive from Baler, the provincial seat. Because of its remote location, it is regarded as one of the province's least visited locations, therefore it is not unexpected that Casiguran Aurora has retained its natural simplicity and charm.
Numerous storms have passed over Casiguran, some of which were strong enough to completely destroy the coastal towns. However, the town has also risen tall numerous times because of the inherent resilience of its citizens.
Casapsapan Beach is the town's most well-known feature. It is a nearly three-kilometer expanse of beautiful, cream-colored sand that provides fantastic sunrise views. This location is often quiet and unconventional despite its unadulterated beauty-the complete opposite of Sabang Beach in Baler.
Other beaches outside Casapsapan Beach include Dianao Beach, which is located north of Casapsapan, and Motiong Beach, which is located in front of Casiguran Sound. These beaches are just waiting to be discovered.
Additionally, Casiguran is home to the Amro River Protected Landscape, which serves as the main supply of water for domestic use, power generation, and agriculture in the isolated towns in northern Aurora.
