    Hey guys! new subscriber and a charter sailboat captain here, watched your 2 hour video yall posted 4 months ago. I have built and restored several sailboats and live on one full time at the moment, and would love to help yall with your build. feel free to reply and we can email or call and i can give yall some advice on how to run the rigging for the sailboat so yall can sail faster, and can go upwind and downwind as well. I love yall's country engineering, i've done similar stuff in the past. dont be discouraged, most of the hard work with sailboats is learning. glad to see yall enjoying the water!

    we did a similar build but used some second hand aluminum siding for walls to save weight

      That's awesome! Wood is sooo heavy, and aluminum is sooo expensive. We scrape by though. Thanks for watching!

    All you need now is a Coast Guard Cert . to be legal on the water and state registration and all the rest of the crap that they want to make money off of you.

      @justincoutts8748 Год назад +1

      Oh they already made their $$. Even registered, i thought the CG may stop us, but they just smile, shake their heads and wave- a pretty typical reaction to us! Thanks for watching, have a good one!

      What Coutts said... The coast guard flies over the river quite often, and we're pretty sure it's to make sure we're still alive, and probably to make fun of us. Thanks for watching!

    Just so you know, they do make gas motors that don't require an electrical engineer to install.

    • @MoneyPitBoating
      @MoneyPitBoating  Год назад

      Yeah, but then we'd have to do maintenance (Which we'd probably forget and/or mess up), and buy gas all the time. It would be nice to go a lot faster though! Thanks for watching!
