    Guys, you saved my life. I was looking for some fancy tool that matched the pattern of the hole in the nut covers. I was cursing VW for not including it my tools. I wondered what on earth that wire tool thing was for too! Thanks again

    so how do you remove the center cap?

      wlegates Hi, thanks for your question. Just push it out from the back when the wheel is removed. You will damage the alloy or cap if you try while the wheel is attached to the car. Hope that helps. Kindest regards, Team VWGenuineParts.co.uk

      That's what I assumed because I saw a velcro trick to pop them out and ended up pulling my vw covers off of the center cap :( thank you :)
