Bravo ! So far so good !

I hope you are heading to Hiva Oa first, don't make the mistake of going to Nuku Hiva. And slab-reefing on a regular main is easy for solo sailors like me too, at any point of sail. Love your Starlink, but I am happy with Iridium Go!, I don't want the regular internet access.

How are you doing, are you still in Marquesas? My trip begins in June from Sweden.

Was hoping for some speedtest results mid crossing (could u watch youtube?). Connected or Isolated is a mindset, I prefer the latter (so definitely avoid Facebook). I also value the safety, but we had satellite phone, EPIRB, etc for that. However now, if u have an issue with ur boat midway, u can research & arrange parts etc b4 u arrive, if u have a song in ur head, u can download it, feel like watching a move, maybe?

Watching.... --- QUESTION -- Not to pester you with questions, but do sailboats come with an Owner's Manual that details service items and schedules for servicing items the way that cars do? For instance, do they say "Check rudder core for water intrusion every Five years" or something to that effect? Or is this knowledge that one is expected to "pick up" through raw experience and self-learning?
