You know, I watched Karen's documentary before I watched this and I shared it with an aunt who has previously discussed this topic with me, but who was coming from a more TBM narrative standpoint. I shared it and said that this video is a comprehensive overview of why I think that polygamy narrative is problematic, and that I could share this one video instead of pointing her to Michelle's hundreds of videos, which could be daunting. Haha. She's shared videos with me that feel weak to me since I know so much more now, but I'm always like "Michelle talked about this! Which episode was it? Which one(s) should I share?" So thank you, Karen, for this piece! And thank you Michelle, for all of yours. I've listened to every one of them and learned so much.
Love this!! Men brought about this evil practice for their own gain and women (also some awesome men) are pulling out back down. Funny too because we're called apostates for not passing around body parts and defending what God created which was monogamy. We're in good company since christ was also rejected by his own people
@icecreamladydriver1606 Seriously, the irony that we're apostates for defending the true teachings of Christ himself taught through the BOM is rather laughable🤣. I know it's used as a manipulative tool but it's more comical than offensive. It's like the Pharisees telling Jesus he's using the devil to cast our demons.
"Fairy God Producer", love it! 😁Karen, incredible work. This is, I think, the most concise, complete treatment of the evidence that has come out so far. SO many hours must have gone into this. So well done!
It's interesting how joseph had exactly 40 wives, a number symbolic for difficult trials and growth. 40 days in the wilderness, jesus fasted 40 days, 40 days of rain during noahs life. Either way its a painful trial
@@bradleyhowell4155 nobody claims he had exactly 40 wives. That's the point. The documentation is so poor that estimates range all over the place. The only real evidence says he had exactly one wife. 40 is a symbolic number, often meaning simply a long time. This seems like a real reach.

So Ben Spackman posts he was edited and quoted wrong, and episodes 115 and 125 of this show were removed or edited, and you have the moxy to make a video about things being edited?

I like that comparison at the end. Pretty sad that we are called apostates because we believe the Book of Mormon.

That is not true.

Have you all watched David Alexander's video about this topic? I'm a convert to the LDS church and I agree with him.
I can't find the link.
It's the video's description. It's not *in* in the description; it *is* the video's *whole* description.

@@jasonsellers56 Thanks. I did find it last night and watched part of it. Have a nice day.
Is Karen Hyatt still an active member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints?
Yes, very much so.
@@MichelleBStone Wow, thanks again. Tells me the church needs to clarify a few things
