    Couldn't he have bounced the basalt to his hand with Tidesprout tyrant and then used the sky turtle to recur something with infinite mana without giving the table so many cards?

      He may have been, but to be honest we were at the 2 hour mark of the game I think we just got tired and didn’t catch it lol.

    couldn’t have spellskite took the pyroblast, it is not blue since not a legal target

      It’s the “if” clause on the card. Pyroblast says “Destroy target permanent IF it’s blue.” So technically you can choose whatever target you want with Pyroblast, but if the permanent isn’t blue then it won’t be destroyed.

      pyroblast can target anything aside from lands, if it' not blue it does nothi g

      @@lorenzobonaretti2887 Pyroblast actually can target lands because lands are still considered as permanents. But again, it won't do anything unless you turn it into a blue permanent. There are a bunch of cards that can change the color of a permanent as well so it is possible.
