She was even better in the latest season (Season 3) - I cried SO much with her story and performance this season. And even though Gilmore Girls were constant part of my teenage years I never think of Rory when I see Emily and that's an achievement.

All three of these actors (Elisabeth Moss, Alexis Bledel AND Vincent Kartheiser) were already on one TV series together back in 2012. That series was Mad Men. Another fact that may interest you in that Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser actually met on the set of Mad Men. She was playing the role of one of Pete's "flings". The amount of likes on your comment would suggest there are a lot of people who still need to watch one of the greatest television series of all time.
Well in Mad Men as far as I know their characters never interacted. It's nice to see those two women collaborate and win in their respecting categories.

Where was her husband? I always thought that was her husband sitting next to her but I just realised that that’s not Vincent at all. They are such a cute couple. I realise that he may have stepped out just moments before and they have to fill seats but what a crucial moment to miss!! Ah well they are a gorgeous couple and good on them for keeping their private lives private so proud of them for doing so because they can give their child the best life

It's all so adorable... how she's trembling from being overwhelmed in this moment... and the way she had her little note ready and read her speech so very humbly. She deserved this award. That scene in the van moved me to tears just from seeing the emotion in her eyes.

Im not saying her acting was terrible, she did a great job, but it was definitely not Emmy worthy, that's like saying the whole cast deserves to get nominated for an Emmy, they all did equally good. Although, Noah Schnapp definitely deserves an award for his breathtaking performances in season two.
Could not agree more on Noah Schnapp. Portraying emotion, terror, and creepiness is hard for any actor to pull off let alone a frickin 13 yr old

The handmaid's tale was a very very good show though. It s been some time since ive been so invested in a show
I disagree. Wright didn't have much in the way of screen time this season. Her award should have been given for LAST year's performance, which was spectacular, but it's a very tough category.
I wasn't quite as taken with the Handmaid's Tale, I watched 8 episodes and quit, it didn't grab me
Alison Wright should've won last year for best supporting actress, she didn't even get a nom, she was robbed in favor of the likes of Emilia Clark because she's not a "pretty" actress on a super hot show

I don’t think Melissa was at the Creative Arts Emmys that year, even though she won comedy guest star, I don’t think she attended the ceremony as there don’t seem to be any clips of her accepting her award or of her walking the carpet for the Creative Arts ceremony. Sometimes actors and actresses can’t always clear their schedules for the CA ceremony as to them it is considered less prestigious than the Primetime Emmy ceremony.

That elaborate Hanging scene in THT was one of the most terrifying,brilliantly acted scenes on TV...atleast in recent times.Bledel totatlly deserved this.

And all of a sudden she’s playing this amazing character which she rocked and that’s when you realize that the little girl you watched growing up isn’t a girl anymore.

I loved the show and still watch it. But she has been in movies and on other shows since Gilmore Girls, as an adult character. SO many people (I’m referring to all comments about this, not just right here) are saying Rory this and Rory that, because that’s how they think of her. Sure, there may be jokes, but an award for the kind of show this is? It’s so different from the movies she did and most of the characters she played. I don’t want to contribute to not taking her seriously.

You need to read more. As much as I love the show, it's not an original idea at all. She's a ripoff (feminist style) of Orwell & Huxley. Atwood's writing isn't very good...sorry! Tapping into people's fears & putting it on paper in basic terms doesn't make a good writer. She got so lucky & hit at just the right time. It's all about timing lately...
