Dans la ville il y a les laissés pour compte et les heros de la démerde quotidienne. Il y a dans la ville toute cette faune qui, du clochard à l'artiste peintre en passant par l'amuseur public, enchantre notre monde en voie de dèsenchantement.
Et puis, il y a dans la ville les salimbanques...

My all time favorite Cirque Du Soleil song. Makes me cry happy tears every time I hear it. The most beautiful song ever made. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it soooooooooooooooo much.

I sincerely wonder why so many changes were needed in the 2004 soundtrack version… The new track had the kids choir start with lyrics instead of the haunting “Oooh”. Maybe it’s because we are so used the 1992 version, but damn, the original version sounds fuller and more intricate.

Did this ever accompany a Cirque act? I don't remember it from the dvd.

Pokinoi accompanied the spinning rope act known as The Spanish Web. The act was retired early on and was no longer being performed when the VHS/DVD was filmed. The soundtrack was recorded before the show even opened so that the cd would be available in time for the premiere. Fun fact: it was used as interlude music for NPR’s All Things Considered at the time.

@@MigsDances Many thanks. I've had the CD since it came out, and thought I'd heard it elsewhere. Several Olympic ice skaters have used Cirque's music in their routines.
