Leonard was actually laughing at Sheldon imitation
I think it's one of those scenes that shows partially why the Sheldon role was so hard.
A lot of the time the rest is allowed to laugh at all sorts of jokes, Penny's laugh is often in there as well, while Jim/Sheldon has to stay stoic.
I've seen the outtakes of that scene and it's pretty obvious that Johnny and Kunal are just laughing their asses off while Jim isn't allowed to laugh.
No he wasn't. It's all acting. Even the scenes where they eat they just spit it out.

The first clip of his Hawking impersonation is made even funnier when you know he was super nervous to do it because Hawking was there as a guest star, and Simon didn't want to offend him. After he did it, he turned to Hawking, gave him a little bow, and Hawking was visibly laughing.

Sheldon insults Howard all the time but it's cool to see him really appreciate his impersonation skills when it comes to DnD. He seems to enjoy it the most out of everyone.

I couldn't help but see the resemblance to "Maxwell Smart" Don Adams played the part. The show was called "Get Smart" first aired in 1965.
I have seen this series more than 3 times start to end and still loves to watch it #howards my fav character from the series my happy place❤
