      @J.-M. Месяц назад +12

      @@hectorhyat2669 Neither of them is his problem. Last time he played Sinner was 2021 (and won, but Sinner was young), and he played Alcaraz only once (and lost). His problem is everyone else on tour, he keeps losing to almost anyone anywhere (for example, he lost to Alexander Blockx a couple of weeks ago). But his biggest problem is his brain.

    D. Shapovalov just met the wrong person (girlfriend) by 2019 and while he still had the potential to be top 5 if not more ; since then, and as this was emphasised by his former coach M. Youzhny, he has never been ready to made all the sacrifices required for staying in the top 10. Incidently, that 2019 year precisely corresponds to his last and unique ATP title (250 in Stockholm...). The hugest waste of talent of the past 10 years. His style of play could have moved crowds ; at the moment, he's just happy on the private side, enjoys life and has lost most of his motivation...

    0:34 never seen Shapovalov hit 2 slices in a row in his career - and he wins the point. Something to think about Denis.

    • @The4.0Guy
      @The4.0Guy Месяц назад

      Agree, at least slice it back when out of position instead of going for a huge winner. Yes no doubt the talent is there but the tactics aren't. He doesn't play percentage tennis and it shows in the results.

    @Enleryofficial Месяц назад +4

    Shelton seriously has what it takes to easily become the 3rd person to complete the rivalry trifecta we knew in Fed/Nad/Djo.
    I believe it all has to 'click' this year and he needs to mature in way. If he relaxes his game and really let's go, Alc and Sin will have a serious problem with him. Especially him being lefty.
    Shapalov, well, he's just a great player who's gonna produce some great tennis here and there. If he's happy with that, that as a tennis fan I'm happy for him. They already have so much pressure left right and center. So if this is his way of just doing what he knows best, then so be it. No need for me (us) to be the judge of anything.
    Lastly: Happy the channel is evolving and making sure we don't know who's gonna win, by just seeing the thumbnail or title. Makes it way more fun to actually watch!!!
    Thanks!!
    🎾✨

    Damn Shapo just content not winning anymore? Strange. Seemed like he would have a good career. Just flopped. Tsitsipas kind of looking the same. As a tennis instructor I would never teach the one hander. As beautiful as it is, it has no business in the modern game and I’d put money on Federer having most slams if he had a 2-hander. I’ve watched most of his quarters, semis and finals throughout his entire career and that one hander has lost him more big points than I care to remember.
    Edit: wawrinka is the only exception to the rule; but he plows through his one hander, whereas Fed either chipped or shanked when rushed
