Farming disk drives before 45 is also quite inefficient. You get 1 S rank instead of 2. That's a 100% increase in efficiency if you wait, which is more than the other figures on the excel sheet. This guy looked at how inefficient everything else is, but disk drive farming early is even more inefficient.

I see a lot of people mistakenly think 35 doesn't guaranteed gold. It does. 35 is a guaranteed S rank disc with a chance of getting 2. 45 is guaranteed 2 S rank drops 55 is guaranteed 2 S rank drops with a chance of getting 3.
Since the main focus/purpose of the game is to farm mats for chars to make them strong enough to farm more , I suggest people to just chillout and do whatever you want to enjoy , in the end the true end game is farming mats for your next char.
Good to know that we access the lvl 40 domain once you hit 35 interknot lvl. I started building up my second team levels and skills but after watching this video, I'll farm disk domains for my first team.
I’ve built my disks for my main team at levels 35-39 and it made a big difference in combat. A-Rank discs aren’t bad, and you can still get S-Rank discs. Building discs for your teams now is better than saving since you can just replace your A-Rank discs with S-Ranks later.
I had a hunch when I pretty much maxed my main team already while avoiding pre-farming and we actually get gold discs. Good to see some math back it up. It's pretty much the usual trace mines first before you go do relics, but the level gate and stam efficiency kicked us out of the trace mines for a bit a lot earlier than usual.

The oft-repeated advice is that stunners and supports can hang out at lower levels while you focus on your DPS, but my Ellen is already level 40 with level 7 skills. Pre-farming for Zhu Yuan felt like a bit of a waste, especially since I don't have a second stunner right now. Just about to hit soft pity on the standard banner after promoting Soukaku, so I'm crossing my fingers for Lycaon. Edit: Nope. Weeping Cradle. I don't have Rina :(
Nah, you're pre-farm didn't go to waste if you're actually trying to pull for ZY. She's the most accessible 5 star DPS from her synergy buff which you can use any support to trigger it. Honestly, you can play her with the free given characters, especially Nicole and Anby that fits her best as of right now as we won't know when the upcoming PubSec Agents will release.

Yeah, it does refresh BUT did you forget that the critical node only unlocks AFTER clearing the 10th in stable node. You obviously need a 2nd team to JUST clear that. Yeah we got x days to farm and whatever, but we still need to build a 2nd team. "F2P btw" my ass.
Prefarming is a double edge sword for the reasons u point out throughout the video but again a DOUBLE EDGE sword it does has it's benefits. You can farm the disc once ur IK40 and ur main dps is 50 (plus his weapon) then farming the disc and doing any other content (like HZ) is easier and faster. Pre farming for ur whole team yes a bad idea, pre farming for ur ONE main dps not so much and it doesn't takes that long (is like 30ish for promo for craft 10 of the ones u need) so is not that bad and u save up time, or "best case" do both u have 250 a day u can split stamina usage. Once you have ur main dps secured then sure do the disc only if that makes u happy.
You didn't mention the stamina loss by waiting till 45 to farm drive discs which could be more than 30% (since you are going from 1 + chance of 2 to guaranteed 2) There is an efficiency loss by not waiting till 40 to farm Skill mats, similarly you are losing efficiency by not waiting till 45 for drive disc, so you should be comparing the loss of each instead of assuming drive disc farming efficiency is the same at all levels.

Honestly just farm the character swing jazz to get a 4 piece set when you have everything maxed out at 35-40 then spend the remaining time getting ONLY the support centered drive disks as you won't be leveling them up for your supports or other mats if you are just a casual. I say this because of the fact that the next tier has a chance to drop 3 extra blue mats so it kind of is a significant boost atleast for me, I think it's worth it only for early clearing cuz it's a fun challenge. ok just watched the vid yes completely agree.

NUCLEAR TIPS. But I aint leveling 2nd team until I get Zhu Yuan or even Jane Doe. Imagine spending 1.5 mil dennies + countless mats on the agents that will get power crept in 1-1.5 months
there's really nothing to farm ascension mats for when you reach 35, assuming you only intend to level 6 characters for bruteforcing. Pre-farming isn't worth it, do it on 40. battery charge just naturally goes to drive disks at 35-37 because by that point you're already done with levels and w-engines if you knew what your were doing.
I might be a little too far behind to try and get the resetting rewards from Shiyu Defense, I haven't even hit IL30 yet. Just haven't had time to grind through the story, just taking it slow and savoring the experience ig. Also I haven't been able to put more than about an hour a day into it. I've probably lost a bit of stamina too because of that. I tried to catch up a bit this weekend but I wasn't even able to get weekly bosses unlocked to my dismay. I did have Hollow Zero and saw there were juicy weekly rewards there so at least I was able to snag those up last minute. Kinda crazy to think I haven't even unlocked the ability to craft *or* farm drive discs yet, but in 6 interknot levels I can farm gold ones lol.
Not sure if the chart factor this in, but you do have the daily coffee bonus so I expect that gave some extra mats everyday. Too bad we can't use it for gears.
i farmed drive disks before level 35 because i had nothing else to farm for, got my ellen team to lvl 40 with lvl 40 weapons and max talents, only after lvl 35 is when i got a usable second team and i started farming for their levels weapons and talents
Why not prefarm character/weapon XP instead since it's quite efficient? A lot of us will hit lvl40 within a week. Wouldn't it be better to farm relic by then while having enough XP for 6 chars already? Haven't seen you touch this point

i literally just made it to level 35 ten mins ago lol 6:30 welp too late. 1st team is ellen, anby, and soukaku. and the 2nd team, grace, billy, and nicole, cannot really be called a team. guess i'll just focus on the 1st. xD
ZZZ is almost identical to Genshin in terms of skills + equipment levelling. Having a decent set of gear makes a huge difference to power levels in both games.
I feel as if genshin is more about gear rather than skill there is not much "skill" required in genshin because of the fact that zhongli shield exists and enemy attacks can be Iframed very easily or maybe im just competitive, on the other hand decent gear applies to every gacha game no comment about that.

Also, just looking at the values, seems to me like the relics have a bit less impact on substats and set bonuses, compared to genshin's artifacts. And that's good to know, considering the fact you can get the right sets, slots and main stats through the music store. So, the suboptimal and optimal builds should be much easier to obtain.
Imo, ZZZ feels significantly better in terms of character progression. All the characters in their respective class share one mat for skill, weapons, and ascension. There’s no clutter. Weekly boss drops are free. Gold Discs are guaranteed at level 35+. I’ve never once felt like I needed to spend money for progression (and I haven’t btw) which is nice. Genshin has the worst character progression imo. Idk what they were thinking time gating materials lol so I wouldn’t say it’s identical to Genshin. Wouldn’t even compare it to WuWa/HSR either.
@@TacticalDimples True I mean like the fact you have to get there ascension flower or some other thing just feels like bs, compared to wuwa it's fine but genshin mats are just on a whole other lvl, as for hsr and wuwa pretty basic to get hsr just do daily assignments with what you need and you practically have it. Oh and yeah weekly boss drops in genshin is also pretty bad in the current game state for the many characters currently in the game, wuwa also had this and it sucks a whole lot because you really need a ton of it just for one character alone so it does have it's negatives. I would say that for progression im definetly seeing that zenless zone zero's progression is much more superior to those of wuthering waves and genshin impact, although for hsr I think it's not bad relic system adds flexibility but means more rng so a bit of a negative but yeah zzz best in progression.
Orrrrrr farm exp mats instead while youre in level 35-40. There is almost no loss on lvl 30 and lvl 40 reward on exp mats. Leveling up from 40 to 50 costs 76 purple exp mats per character and if you already have a 2 teams you will need 400+ purple exp mats for leveling 6 characters. At least if you farm exp mats it is GUARANTEED that your character stats will be stronger than taking chances on getting a good drive disk.
You missed the spreadsheet then. You're essentially pre-farming a team that's gonna burn ~1000 Stamina worth of resources later due to 35-40 dropping less resources. A single team alone would've been maxed somewhere post-35 which is more than enough. By the time Zhu Yuan is released, most daily players would've hit Lvl 40, and they can spend the Stamina on character resources for a Team 2, and still have enough time to do Shiyu Defense before it goes into the next cycle. Also, you only truly need to max your DPS for each team to get going as they're the one spending the most on-screen time (aside from some characters like Lycaon).
They made a whole tutorial at 35, telling you you've unlocked S rank Drive Disks from Bardic Needle which is a hint. It does indeed affect Cleanup unlocking S ranks.

i farmed drive disks before level 35 because i had nothing else to farm for, got my ellen team to lvl 40 with lvl 40 weapons and max talents, only after lvl 35 is when i got a usable second team and i started farming for their levels weapons and talents

Why not prefarm character/weapon XP instead since it's quite efficient? A lot of us will hit lvl40 within a week. Wouldn't it be better to farm relic by then while having enough XP for 6 chars already? Haven't seen you touch this point
I don't farm disc a lot but i choose build a second team for shiyu defense, now still lvl 39 and i think i'm doing good so far no regret
Well he did say what he's talking about here was a "min/max" mentality. It's not the only thing that would work, but is the "mathematically most optimal"

ZZZ is almost identical to Genshin in terms of skills + equipment levelling.
Having a decent set of gear makes a huge difference to power levels in both games.
I feel as if genshin is more about gear rather than skill there is not much "skill" required in genshin because of the fact that zhongli shield exists and enemy attacks can be Iframed very easily or maybe im just competitive, on the other hand decent gear applies to every gacha game no comment about that.
@@user-pb3uq8mi9fgreat point actually! Genshin has a much lower skill ceiling, especially if u're a whale. Just push 12 buttons in a pre-determined manner and everything dies.
Also, just looking at the values, seems to me like the relics have a bit less impact on substats and set bonuses, compared to genshin's artifacts. And that's good to know, considering the fact you can get the right sets, slots and main stats through the music store. So, the suboptimal and optimal builds should be much easier to obtain.
Imo, ZZZ feels significantly better in terms of character progression. All the characters in their respective class share one mat for skill, weapons, and ascension. There’s no clutter.
Weekly boss drops are free. Gold Discs are guaranteed at level 35+. I’ve never once felt like I needed to spend money for progression (and I haven’t btw) which is nice.
Genshin has the worst character progression imo. Idk what they were thinking time gating materials lol so I wouldn’t say it’s identical to Genshin. Wouldn’t even compare it to WuWa/HSR either.

@@TacticalDimples True I mean like the fact you have to get there ascension flower or some other thing just feels like bs, compared to wuwa it's fine but genshin mats are just on a whole other lvl, as for hsr and wuwa pretty basic to get hsr just do daily assignments with what you need and you practically have it.
Oh and yeah weekly boss drops in genshin is also pretty bad in the current game state for the many characters currently in the game, wuwa also had this and it sucks a whole lot because you really need a ton of it just for one character alone so it does have it's negatives.
I would say that for progression im definetly seeing that zenless zone zero's progression is much more superior to those of wuthering waves and genshin impact, although for hsr I think it's not bad relic system adds flexibility but means more rng so a bit of a negative but yeah zzz best in progression.

Orrrrrr farm exp mats instead while youre in level 35-40. There is almost no loss on lvl 30 and lvl 40 reward on exp mats.
Leveling up from 40 to 50 costs 76 purple exp mats per character and if you already have a 2 teams you will need 400+ purple exp mats for leveling 6 characters.
At least if you farm exp mats it is GUARANTEED that your character stats will be stronger than taking chances on getting a good drive disk.
You missed the spreadsheet then. You're essentially pre-farming a team that's gonna burn ~1000 Stamina worth of resources later due to 35-40 dropping less resources.
A single team alone would've been maxed somewhere post-35 which is more than enough. By the time Zhu Yuan is released, most daily players would've hit Lvl 40, and they can spend the Stamina on character resources for a Team 2, and still have enough time to do Shiyu Defense before it goes into the next cycle. Also, you only truly need to max your DPS for each team to get going as they're the one spending the most on-screen time (aside from some characters like Lycaon).

They made a whole tutorial at 35, telling you you've unlocked S rank Drive Disks from Bardic Needle which is a hint. It does indeed affect Cleanup unlocking S ranks.
