    We used the Yeti Goal Zero system too. It worked so well on our first 6 week trip. Absolutely love how easy and efficient it is!

      I hope it could be helpful! Definitely a great budget option from Goal Zero. The main importance being that you heed to be conscious of your usage. I think it can be a decent option for those who pay attention to their output. Let me know if you have questions. All the best! 🙌🏻

    4:38 bummer I waited patiently until I heard this, which is the deal breaker, and I actually had this unit in my cart, but I was trying to figure out whether or not I would be able to use the wifi function to turn this on at my off grid property, which obviously you can not. Very disappointing

      This is a different product than the one you commented on previously. The core product doesn’t have the WiFi capabilities like the x line does. I’ll reply with a more robust take on the other comment

      @Trailvagabonds thanks buddy, I'm in the market, and I've been looking at the jackery for a a few weeks and one of the videos mentioned that the jackery had an apt but it pretty much sucked and then that got me to thinking, I wonder if anybody makes the power station with Wi-Fi. So from a google search, I found out about goal zero, but I don't know the scope of it.

    So you can charge the core with your car battery?

    • @Trailvagabonds
      @Trailvagabonds  2 года назад

      Only through a car port charger. The Yeti link does not fit the Core to use the vehicle integration kit. There may be a way to outfit a b2b charger but I have not looked into it as an option

    Just checked the Amazon US site link you provide. "Currently unavailable" is what you find, and no price. Do you know what the price was (when it was available)? Thanks!🇨🇦

      Sorry to hear it! I know covid supply chain issues have had a lot of Goal Zero products out of stock. It is priced at $999.95 USD normally

    • @Trailvagabonds
      @Trailvagabonds  3 года назад

      I just checked Amazon and it says in stock. I wonder if it's a Canadian shipping issue with the US 🤔

    • @ybirch9735
      @ybirch9735 3 года назад +1

      @@Trailvagabonds You are correct! I was logging into the Amazon US link from a Canadian server, and it wouldn't provide price and availability as a result. Just switched to a US server on my VPN service, and the $995 USD price is showing, and it is showing available!
      Amazon Canada is not listing the Yeti 1000 Core yet. ☹️. Hopefully that will change in the future.
      Thanks for your quick responses!

    How do you power more than one device on 12V? For instance, how do you run both the fan and the lights on 12V with only one 12V 10A carport? Do you use an AC to DC adapter on the 120V outlets?

    • @Trailvagabonds
      @Trailvagabonds  2 года назад +1

      You can run a fuse block from the HPP (or Anderson port) for your 12v devices. In our van we have a 12 slot fuse block (this one~ amzn.to/36t0eM2) fed with an Anderson to ring cable (this one~ amzn.to/3ijzVKU).
      We have 4 sets of lights, a water pump, two Maxxfans, a Webasto heater. We have a couple other electrical videos on our channel that explain some of that. If you have questions on it I can definitely try and help out. Using the 120 would be inefficient because it converts from DC to AC then back to DC so you use more power than you would just sticking to DC circuits. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have other questions 🙌🏻

      SOLO (tent) camper here. This past spring,I purchased a GoalZero Yetti 500x and 100w Solar Panel from FB Marketplace for $350...LOVE IT!!
      I PRIMARILY wanted it to keep my Cellphone (and maybe my Kindle Reader) charged when away from home. ONE 3hour plug-in charging session (100%) at the hotel lasted the ENTIRE week of camping at a State Park. Last month, before a wknd stay at a local camp ground, l plugged it in the wall outlet for an hours worth of charge. Even after inflating 2 Twin mattresses and running a tabletop oscillating fan overnight, topping off my phone,73% remained....Hoping to purchase a Ford E-150/250 van to do a basic build.
      How can I BEST utilize it until l can afford a bigger pack.. Any helpful/useful tips to get the MOST usefulness?

    Hey Matt I I have a question for you when you’re using your gold zero does it have any kind of noise like any humming or anything?

    • @Trailvagabonds
      @Trailvagabonds  3 года назад +1

      There are a couple computer fans that will kick on when it's working hard. Usually only with the inverter being used by an AC plug

      @@Trailvagabonds thanks for the input, we are toying with the idea of getting the 1500x as a back up power source for the house. Crazy storms here and losing power is the worse.

    hi from new zealand we have just bought a goal zero yeti 1000X. I have a 850 watt No. 907vau heat bond iron for work. I am a carpet layer. the specs are 850W 230V (this is std for nz) 50hz 3.7 amps... it does not work. the yeti makes a loud noise like a colling fan and switches off after 20seconds. any ideas please???

    • @Trailvagabonds
      @Trailvagabonds  9 месяцев назад

      My thought is it has something to do with the draw. I’m guessing that maybe there is a heat up cycle that takes longer than the surge can handle above the 1500w max output. But I’m not an electrician or certified with Goal Zero in any way. I would contact their customer support. They are normally very good when I’ve contacted them. Or contact your heat bond irons manufacturer to see if they can tell you if there is a larger draw when it’s starting up. Sorry I can’t help more but I wish you luck!

    The 1000X model does NOT have wifi. Only 1500X and 3000X

    • @Trailvagabonds
      @Trailvagabonds  Год назад

      I thought that is what I explained. The main difference is you can use a Yeti link so expansion and car charging are available on 1000x but as you said no WIFI
