Before you compare the relative net income to other countries, you should compare what people get for their taxes. Luxembourg is one of the best providing states in the world regarding everything a state can do: health care, jurisdiction, education, infrastructure, social security, etc. etc. It is a neoliberal myth serving the rich that tax dollars are just lost. Especially for non-income-millionaires (99% of people who are watching, stop comparing your fate to that of the super-rich as if it was your prospect), what the state offers you can easily surpass the value of your taxes, because taxes can be very smart investments (especially for education this has been shown scientifically again and again).
