It is a sad time indeed. Just a result of a larger agenda. My farm DID NOT invest in JD for new equipment this year, we went off shore for a better machine that I can actually do my own maintenance. JD should have listened to their customers (even us small farmers). It all comes down to that all (un) mighty dollar. TYM is now cutting my crops. If American made product manufacturers have no interest to satisfy the needs of the American consumer, even when it means that they make some high cuts, reduction in production to stay afloat, they make it clear that their interest is NOT serving the farming community to keep us strong, but rather to continue the cashflow that buys their fancy boats, massive houses and foreign cars. Go to Mexico, see if they can afford your overpriced rigs.

Deere has to do what they need to do so they can be competitive. Union strikes for higher wages caused this problem to be magnified along with covid in the same sense. Customers can’t handle the ability to work on these machines across the board along with other dealers that are not Deere trained or capable. It’s hard enough alone to find qualified workers that John Deere dealers can invest in without jumping for the next thing; dealers struggle too even fix themselves. The mass of people and society is no longer educated enough to work on the machinery without causing more headaches for them and the dealer or some mom and pop down the road working on a 200k machine. Deere quality has dropped because of the ever expanding competition to drop price/value in their product up front while not being able to be supported in the long run because of the cheap profit margin upfront. Deere also can’t compete because of the demands of their union workers that is even more getting passed down to the consumer. As for greed, give me a break and you run a company with 59,000 US employees and 80,000 worldwide, you can’t imagine the organism that needs to be feed for quality/secure/high paying jobs. I dare you to just do the math on payroll only per month at $20 average pay (which is cheap), greed haha, yes, higher management can take pay cuts but they also have decisions me and you could never imagine in making and running a company of this size. 2.2 billion is a drop in the bucket, these large companies can go out faster than a mom and pop!!! Take pride in a American product and quit bitching because just like Deere and all the other American made big companies they can’t afford to work in the US with you cry babies

I will never buy a single product that has JDs name in it. I hope Trump taxes their imports to a degree they go out of business
