I'm really unhappy with the current translator for Myanmar. The translations are often bad, making it hard to understand and causing lots of confusion. This is creating problems for everyone who speaks Myanmar and relies on these translations.
We really need a new translator who can do a better job. Please change the translator as soon as possible so we can avoid more issues.

Being from Myanmar ourselves, we understand the fighters' messages clearly and believe accurate translation is crucial for both fighters and fans. In the recent Soe Lin Oo fight, the translator missed significant parts of what Soe Lin Oo said, which affected the clarity of his message.

Pongsiri should have used a lot of low kicks instead of punch to punch to face Soe Lin Oo.
Burmese Letwei fighters are conditioned to take Muy Thai leg kicks. It doesn't bother them unless it lands on the head which is rare. Their strength is in elbow strikes & punching power especially in MMA gloves.

Pronunciation:
Many people mistakenly pronounce it as "leth (tha) wei," but the correct pronunciation is "Let + hwei." It can be said as "Lek (Let) + Hwei (Whayte)," meaning boxing in the Myanmar language.
Origin:
Lethwei, also known as Burmese Boxing, originated in Myanmar (formerly known as Burma).
Unique Features:
Unlike most combat sports, headbutts are an essential weapon in a Lethwei fighter's arsenal, earning it the name "The Art of Nine Limbs."
History:
Lethwei dates back to ancient times when martial arts were used to protect and defend Myanmar’s borders. Traditional bouts had no scoring system and continued until an athlete surrendered, was knocked out, or could not continue due to injury. Athleticism and technique were important, but toughness and perseverance were celebrated.
Traditions:
Lethwei shadow and victory dances are called Lethwei Yay, which usually start with Lek Kha Moun (the challenge gesture, a symbol, and trademark of Lethwei).
Despite many ups and downs, the sport has survived thanks to passionate fans and athletes who have carried on the tradition.
