You need to delete the members one by one then, leave the group. This is time-consuming and tedious if you have hundreds or thousands of members.
I had three groups each having over 300+ members/about 2-3 dozens posts. What I did was I kept the group hidden (only invited people can find and join the groups with permission) then, archived it (members can only view the posts/no other activities, such as posting, liking, commenting, etc. are allowed) then eventually, deleting all the posts/photos.
Basically, the groups still exist, but there's nothing to view there.

You really did us a disservice by being the only member in your FB Group. We weren't wondering how to leave our group. We were wondering how to remove members. You needed at least 2-3 others to SHOW us (not just tell us) how to "remove" members. Currently, we -- your viewers -- are wondering why FB only lets us "block" members instead of removing them.

This doesn't work now. If I leave the group, it says... are you sure... and I need to find an admin replacement. Although I am the last member of the group, it still says I have 3 members. They are not shown under members. How would I find them and ban them in order to shut the group down? Thx

There is NO OPTION anymore to DELETE.. you can only suspend the members or BLOCK them from the group

However block works the same it deletes them and also prevent them to request access again
Yes, Facebook does that for some groups I don’t really know why but there are some discrepancies between groups. Some of them have the options some of they don’t, you can submit a request though

How do you get to the “manage group” page? You need to explain this first.
Hello! Thanks for the observation. Select your Facebook group then tap or click on Manage button. There you go 😉
If you hae thousands of members, the quickest way is to get a few friends to create disposable facebook accounts, make them admin and post highly controversial images / memes.
Facebook will remove the group for you and ban / suspend the disposable accounts after possibly one or two warnings.
That could be a good idea, but wouldn’t your account be affected? Like banned as well as the group?

There is no remove member option in facebook. There is ban member option.

There’s no option to delete someone when I log in with a iPhone
I only can block them
If you block them they are deleted automatically
In 2023 all or says is ban or suspend. It does not say remove member

There simply isn't any of these options on my facebook. I can't believe this.
First, I've searched for hours for the "invite button" - doesn't exist.
Secondly, I've searched entire hour to find "admin settings" . Guess what? They don't exist. Now they are transfered to "moderate settings" without options I need.
Thirdly, I've searched for an entire hour to find "members" option. Guess again? There is no members option, only followers tab which doesnt have an option to remove members. They are the worst of the worst.
I completely relate to your frustration, they keep changing features and the way everything works very frequently. But what can you do? 💆

That is odd… you can block them and it will work pretty similar as remove them but with the additional feature that is blocking them from the group as well 🤷🏻♀️

Not quick at all... I manage multiple groups, with some over 11,000 members. This is just insane in the scope of time consumption.
I know is not quick but its the way fb did it to avoid people delete their fb groups. And I agree about the time consumption that takes to delete all members. Hopefully fb changes that 🤷🏻♀️

Not putting the delete group button is deliberate. FB engineers cannot fail to add a delete all members button. FB wants to frustrate you into giving up. And we know why.
I am a software engineer and I don’t think is a miss from their engineers but an strategic decision from the heads 🤷🏻♀️. It shouldn’t be difficult to add it is just that they don’t want it.

hey @Stanislav7180, first of all, nop I am not crazy, second of all this is the way of doing it legally and following facebook rules, might be an Easier way to do it but not legally, you could just suspend the group and delete as much members as you can day by day, you can figure it out, however this is the way you can actually delete a facebook group.

There were probably 10 friends i didn't invite in group...added by family members already invited and in Group. It was a family group so no big deal but maybe it might be a good video for you to create and instruct people who create a Facebook group on who can add people. So "group administrators" may not just anyone in Group to add members with administrators authorization. TY again from new
