    Hi guys, since there are always questions regarding the correct direction and implementation of the G-forces, here is the following. First of all, the simulator should show for me the correct data of the tyres, suspension, shock absorbers and inclination angle of the vehicle on the track. Only in the second step is it about the G-forces. These can only be simulated with HEAVE of the 4 actuators. The fact that the simulator moves forwards and backwards again has nothing to do with the simulation of G-forces but is intended to simulate the dynamics of a real chassis. With a fixed pivot point in the middle, the 4 actuators on the RIG with the traction loss system at the front and rear would not be able to deliver this dynamic. In the simulator itself there is another independent system which simulates the SURGE effect where you are pushed away from the steering wheel as well as being pushed towards it. This is known from seatmovers which have exactly this principle. Some of you may remember this from the videos of my previous simulator where the seat was always "wobbling" back and forth. In addition, this also results in belt tensioning like in a real vehicle. If you want to simulate the G-forces realistically, you would have to have a hall of 100x100 metres like some vehicle manufacturers have. But I don't have the money for that ... A simulator in a small space can only provide an impulse for the G-forces that occur during acceleration or braking. But never G-forces over a longer period of time. Oh and one more thing, the current simulator finally drives like a real car, in contrast to everything I had tried before. And that's exactly where I wanted to go.

    • @jase874
      @jase874 2 года назад +16

      I had only presumed the motion was to replicate G-forces but this makes a lot of sense, thank you!

      @@KitKitChanIsaac already other people have done it and I don’t think that type of motion is gonna get you sick but there are people who get sick even with normal games so it’s depend on the person but I would definitely give it a try if that was my sim

    Beautiful rig. Now when your ready, the next big step is 180 degrees of screens to take it to the next level of spectacular awesomeness.

    Can you do a full detail vid on how you built the rig? It’s asking a lot but that thing is so freaking cool. Great job mate.

    I think you have the best self made sim rig I've seen so far. I also use 4 dof sim rig. Similar like yours, but yours is more advance. I wonder how it feels to drive in it. Do you feel the G? If you don't mind, could you tell us how much you spent on it? Anyway very very nice sim rig.
