Fun fact about this show Les Claypool and Ler were both tripping on acid. They told the story about it in a book about Primus that came out a few years ago. They were tripping pretty good apparently.
Primus-Rush connection? The first time I saw Primus they were opening for Rush on their Roll the Bones tour in February of ‘92🤘🖖✌️🎸🥁🎤🎹👍👌

Something else to be aware of, is that Carl Thompson 6 string bass is also fretless. Carl makes some really amazing basses, they're incredibly light weight, have terrific sound, and they sustain forever. I've got one of his earlier basses (it pre-dates the scroll basses) and it has an ebony bridge and nut and it sounds really fantastic. Unlike Les, who uses EMG pickups, mine has the original Shaller pickups.
With all the wacky clothes Claypool used to wear back in the day, he's changed to dressing up in a three-piece suit.

The first time I ever heard of Primus was when they opened for Rush way back when. I have to admit at the time I didn’t like it at all however overtime I have become a big fan. Tommy the cat is still one of the weirdest songs ever though.😂👍🤘🏻

I saw Primus open up for RUSH on two different tours in the 90’s and at lollapalooza in 1993. THE GREATEST WEIRDEST TRIO ON THE PLANET THAT IS PART RUSH PART FRANK ZAPPA PART FUNKADELIC!

Ha ha, would Les make a good session player🤣 He must not be very good, Metallica didn't even want him. Just yanking your chain😂
I know youre joking. But. lol. It's not a matter of him not being good. He's very good at what he does. A very innovative player. Absolutely doesn't fit in Metallica, i don't even know why that was a thing, probably for the video. But also I would not consider him a session player type. He is more like Geddy Lee in that he has his thing, he's built a band and music around it and he's great at what he does.
Actually, Primus has much better songs than these.
