True. It was really frustrating sometimes on the N64, which had worse controls. Still not great on PC cause the jump physics are a bit weird.The game was made in a weird time when games design was changing in many ways. It shows.

I know I am in the minority but this is my favorite shooter ever! Was glad to see a speedrun of it.
I picked up an n64 cart AFTER getting hooked on the xbone release... Found out the controls for such games were radically evolving at the time.
Struggling to beat the tutorial with a decent time because who tf thought moving solely with c buttons while aiming solely with the control stick was ergonomic and a good idea!?

I appreciate his nervousness, most of the time everyone is calm and I think to myself why aren't u sweating bullets. I understand why he is cause he's only been playing for 4 months and the game is random with the enemy placement.
I remembered this being hard, but I didn't realize until watching this that I've never even seen the first boss before.

I was constantly curling my toes and feeling major stress during all those jumps and trick shots. I played turok as a kid, and you nailed it when you say the n64 controller sucked to play Turok. Still one of my favourite N64 games. I couldnt believe it could be beatin that quickly. This was amazing to watch.

The soundtrack, visuals and all the audio took me back many years. Turok series love it or hate it, many memories with the series.

Is anyone else just in complete awe of how enormous the world of Turok is? Like, it must be bigger than most games coming out for today's generation consoles, and there'd be no way for you to figure out where to go and what to do. If anyone ever got through this game without a strategy guide, they must've dedicated several controllers and many months to get to the end.

I am so glad Nightdive studio remade this. Great run! The runner snipped so many of those tough jumps!
This game was a memorable early N64 title. Never got past level 2 as a kid.
I bought the sequel instead Turok 2.
I rented the game as a kid (when renting N64 games was still a thing) and it had the big cheat on the inside cover, so I just teleported to different levels and bosses, then screwed with big head, colorblind and other various cheats. When the store started selling them since they weren't making much profit, I bought it and a dozen others with boxes included.

My brother and I played this when it first came out in 1997, but I was only like 6 so it was mostly watching my brother play and we only ever rented it. Now in 2022 I just got the game and beat it for the first time, brought back some good memoires, especially the falling off cliff parts haha

This game still amazes me after 20 years. One of my favourite N64 games. Claimed so many of my childhood hours

The joke is, that Hanzo was (idk about the meta atm though) a terrible character in competitive, so everybody flamed people that were trying to make him happen -->there is no pro hanzo, pros know better
I still remember the jumps at the end of Level 2. Super memorable maps and jumps, great game.
This run was beautiful and very fun to watch.

Nice run! Runner seems like nice guy and quite technical run with all the jumps.
Turok had some pretty weird faces, but nothing can beat Turok 2's demon children faces. I swear, that game already scared me when I was little, and those kids surely did not help
I swear the intro to Turok 2 was rather messed up in some ways. There was also the problem of the language, I'm italian and when I was 7 I didn't know english so I understood nothing about what was happening.

The game was brilliant. Bawkbasoup was a blast to watch. And we got a huge chunk of time at the end where we hear the announcer's beautiful voice. This is probably the highlight of the event for me.
But now I'm DYING to know what's all the "Letsa Go" comments about.
