I can totally see snezhnayan characters having delusions and using them like natlan ones use phlogiston, but i think that expecting old characters to access them too is too much delulu
yeah. the only ones that i expect top be buffed with delusions pre-szeshnayan characters are diluc and childe, but more so childe, as diluc;s delusion was desroyed in the manga
It feels like Delusions will become Sneazhnya's regional mechanic, just like Sumeru with Dendro, Fontaine with Pneumia and Ousia(and bond of life kinda) and nightsoul blessings for Natlan. What if people in Sneazhnya don't have visions, because they willingly gave them away because its a way to "rebel" against celestia,so people are given advanced delusions
@@awman5095I agree with you but it could be that only the harbingers are allowed to use visions alongside delusions since they're permitted by the archon herself
@@awman5095I didn't think of that🤔but what if the Tsarista hands out delusions? Maybe safer delusions? There could be another explanation where, for example, the Tsarista makes sure they're safe so that her citizens don't have to be tied to celestia or somth..
Yeah, I think it's more like the Natlan nightsoul blessing for them, maybe adding a second skill or burst, not a thing you can add to any character. Due to the story implications and the use of them being detrimental, it would be just really weird that anyone else would use them, like forcing them to use steroids.
The Delusion itself just changes his element to Electro, his transformation is the Foul Legacy technique he learned from Skirk who in turn learned it from Surtalogi the Foul.
@@kurulaguambe6580 And us Tartaglia-mains will cry again. At least give the man his Delulu-outfit to prance around in. It's also still a crime how the big arse Narwhal he chucks at you, isn't his ult.
Honestly wouldn't be surprised if element switching is the main "gimmick" for Snezhnaya characters, the same way it was Dendro for Sumeru or Nightsoul for Natlan.
12:30 Childe give his vision to traveller to use only his delusion in Fontaine, because the vision was not working anymore, so yes, the delusion was mentioned in the recent main history
If they were to make delusions playable, i think it's probably gonna be like Natlan's gimmicks. New characters would be able to switch to delusion mode with their skill or burst for a period of time, and maybe inside Snezhnaya they can have that for longer. But changing current characters (exept childe) would probably be a giant mess and wouldn't make sense, i mean can you imagine asking kokomi to wear a delusion after all that crisis in the archon quest??
my theory is that if the delusion user actually have vision or any other kind of power source within them, they can use it without too much effort and disadvantages basically their physical traits and/or being blessed by the heavenly principles allow for such resistance
elemental energy is dangerous and potentially even lethal at high enough dosages so I like to think that, since a vision is basically a focus that channels elemental energy, the delusion is imperfect in that regard, so part of the channeled elemental energy also hits the user. if the user also has a vision however, it shields them from this by absorbing and channeling the unwanted elemental energy comming off the delusion
im inclined to agree, even though fatui agents, mages, skirmishers etc use the power of delusions with seemingly no backlash, at least as far as we know
@@thegreatBarbossa Well considering Signora never had a vision, and her delusion actually helped her control her pyro energy. i think the delusions the actual fatui receives are so well made that they work exactly like a vision, but in inazuman´s archon quest the delusion factory was mass producing them, they made poorly crafted delusions
@@yachiyotsukino3238 To be fair, Signora was kinda immortal. The Delusions in Inazuma fed on the users life, which made them age quicker. For Signora this probably means nothing at all, since she's well over 500 years old anyways. I'm not sure how it would work on Pantalone since he doesn't (?) have some awesome, metaphysical power (only the power to topple the entirety of Teyvats economical system) nor a vision. chances are, that he has to be careful about using his Delusion due to that. Tartaglia isn't exactly a good candidate to check on either, because who knows what the Abyss did to him and his body because fighting a whale for 40 (arguably way more) days without break is decidedly not normal for a human, no matter how beefed up they are.
Please please I want Delusion Childe to be Playable Even if it's just basically the same Kit but Electro, cuz honestly it's pretty perfect for Electro. He already has the Fastest Hydro app after all
I would definitely prefer they err on the side of restricting a Delusion mechanic to Fatui Harbinger units, with each given a predetermined second element if applicable. I think giving them each that additional flexibility at a cost would feel thematically appropriate while opening up more teambuilding options. And I agree with the Childe fans that it should retroactively be applied to him as well. I agree that Capitano might be a good first unit to test this idea on. If Hoyo feels confident enough, they could even update Childe at the same time and run them on the same patch (whether the same banner phase or putting Childe on the opposite phase). Childe's Delusion kit could remain nearly identical beyond elemental typing, and Capitano could be the guinea pig for a unit who was built from the ground up to swap elements.
if delusions were added i think they should make it use the Z key (or wtv key u have for the oculi finders) and it just makes the onfield character and skills infused with that element and a list of characters are unable to use them (like sara bc she loves raiden or baizhu bc he’s not physically fit enough) and itd have no effect on off field units (no cryo xingqiu unless he’s onfield) but itd work with summons and marks (ie. cryo guoba and cryo nihihi mark) and it transfers their dmg bonuses to all type dmg bonus up to a maximum (like if kazuha swirled all elements) and if a character goes below like 55-60% hp the delusion is put on an indefinite cooldown until your above the required minimum then goes on a 10-15 second cooldown i think that’d be the best way to make team building more creative and make it so constellations and stuff dont need to be changed
I think delusions might get playable for the Harbingers in Snezhnaya. The most intuitive way to implement them would probably be similar to Furinas switch between ousia and pneuma. So you can switch between vision and delusion by holding either attack or skill. But i'm not sure if they will change any existing characters, i think that is way less likely, even with Childe.
Allowing the current roster of characters to freely change their elements would be absolutely bonkers. If they DO implement delusions as a gameplay mechanic I'm certain they're gonna place heavy restrictions on them, either: -Only one character at a time on your team can hold a delusionn, and delusions aren't usable in co-op, or -specific characters can only use specific delusion elements, so that Hoyo can thoroughly test the character beforehand and make sure no busted kit/delusion combos slip through, or -delusions will be a regional gimmick and will only appear or 6.x released characters who are built from the ground up with using 2 elements in mind.
In cookie run kingdom, the devs give an older character(s) a magic candy which gives a new feature to the character’s powers and skills, with some going from f tier to s tier, so I hope if delusions are added it’s a specific buff for specific characters, especially those that are on the lower tiers
For me im thinking it will be cool that childe will get rereleased or a new verison of him in snezhnaya with his burst making him transform into his delusion for 5-10sec and at the end of it make him do the burst and change back to his vision
I like the idea of delusions being similar to the activatable echoes in wuwa. So that their effect would be tied to the item, not the character equipping it. Delusions could be farmable and have a determined effect like artifact sets do, and could indirectly buff older characters without them having to go back and buff kits.
Im leaning towards new characters having it as a unique thing specially bc the country that made them is really close to coming, if they did it they need to give my boi childe his!
So I love the idea of bringing delusions into the game I HATE the idea of using it as a mechanic that anyone can use. It should go to specific characters designed around this. If the game gets darker than it currently is then we can have moments of weakness or desperation in which old characters receive delusions like if Guoba was horribly injured Xiangling could pick on up to fight against the oncoming threat that hurt her friend or Albedo could get one because the gods took his copy and he's willing to put his own body at risk in order to rescue him. Maybe all the harbingers could get one after the game gets power crept to shit. I would like it if you had your burst, your skill, and if you pressed both of them or if you're holding your burst it puts you in a channel state and if you activate your skill during this state, it activates your delusion. That way you can have your normal kit but have a way of activating your Delusion that doesn't mess up that default kit. Then in the empowered state you have a separate unique skill and burst although for the sake of not completely destroying game balance or under powering one side I think the Bursts should charge up from the same pool so you can't use your burst, use your delusion, then use your burst again. Alternatively you could use the charge from your default burst to enter your Delusion form. And it could charge up with like 30/40 energy so you could realistically get it in a few seconds of being in the new state. I'd also love it if they used the Bond of Life mechanic for when you enter Delusion state and make it so you take 1.5x damage to really put emphasis on the danger of using these things.
@@paulamblard3836 It was also stated somewhere that if you wear a specialized mask while wearing a delusion, the effects won't be nearly severe, which is why all fatui members without visions have a mask of sorts
@@mohammedalamer4456 Although we don't see the consequences, they don't tend to live very long after we see them use them. (Granted that's for unrelated reasons.)
each character has the choice between 2 ou 3 passives. they are strong on strong character, but very strong on character that need buff. Neuvillette : - +2 level to all talents. (it is like 13% more damage) - each time Neuvilette deal damage to an enemy , all their non-hydro resistance are reduce by 6% for 8s (so physical + the 6 other elements). max 60%, each stack has independent duration. (this one does nothing for himself, but good buff to teammates) Klee : - +5s burst duration. the burst now stay active when Klee is off-field. - +300 (final) ATK + 20% crit chance +40% crit damage, reduce skill CD by 50%, +30% attack speed, charged attack spend half the amount of endurance.
They SHOULDNT be playable because there is LITERALLY mostly no difference between them and the elements, the ONLY difference is that delusions would hurt you. Just freaking play arlecchino if you wanna know what its like, she is a PERFECT example
I simply think of delusion like in HI3 as alternate unit : an hydro childe and a electro child, with limitation you cannot use them in the same team. That take away a lot of liberties proposed but dev won't have to be extremely careful about the ramification of changement : it's gonna be a new char from gameplay pov, the same(or evolution) from story/lore pov
As a quick idea, I'd say there would be two types of Delusions: Apathetic Delusions, which can be applied to any character, and Obsessive Delusions, which are tied to a specific character. *Apathetic Delusions* would open a new mechanic, where all Elemental Attacks from the equipped character are converted to the Delusion element, while also transforming any Elemental DMG bonus applied to the character into the Delusion element as well, and providing a permanent NA Infusion. However, to balance things out, Delusions will need to be equipped in place of the Elemental Skill or Burst, which is then rendered unusable while the Delusion is equipped, and their Energy gain is halved. As for passive effects regarding specific reactions: tough luck. This would allow for some really stupid builds, but at the cost of character stability, and in some cases, could severely hinder their playstyles. *Obsessive Delusions* on the other hand, would basically be hand-crafted for one character only. They can be activated by holding the Burst button, which then drains all Energy from the character and transform it into "Fortitude", which is gradually consumed with every attack while in Delusion Mode, and you cannot gain Elemental Energy with that character. Once it's empty, the character will then receive an Anti-Healing debuff (like Arlecchino and Clorinde), and rapidly lose HP, until the Delusion Mode is deactivated by holding the Burst button again - switching characters doesn't deactivate it, but off-field Delusions don't drain HP. As for the specifics of Delusion Mode, that obviously depends on the character. For instance, Arle would essentially go Boss Form, Childe would activate his Foul Legacy, and Signora (I'm NOT giving up on her) would switch to her Papillon Form. But through the story, characters outside of the Fatui might also end up gaining a Delusion, possibly from an alliance with the Tsaritsa.
I wouldn't even make it a stance. Just make it an elemental change in the menu, similar to the path changes for Trailblazer and March in Starrail. Lorewise Delusions could become so technically advanced or the playable characters would all be "chosen ones" who don't suffer from the sideffects of the Delusion. Maybe once we defeat/enroll the Tsaritsa or she gathers all the Gnoses and then has the power of all seven gods so she can create "safe" Delusions for anyone. I have also been thinking, in Natlan we just got those "abyssal" shields on those purple shapeshifting enemies. Gameplaywise there is currently no effective way of destroying those shield effectively (unless that is behind a quest I haven't done yet) so they act like huge bricks to smash your head against. What if Delusions can break through that shield and we get a whole lot more of those enemies in Snezhnaya. Also yes, please more of those speculative videos. It's always interesting to see what ideas other people can come up with.
The abyss shields are broken by nightsoul alignmened damage or elemental damage. So kinich, dps xilonen, and chasca would be good natlan pics, for elemental damage, burning is good.
I liked the video of course, but I had hoped it would touch up on the subject from the angle of the Traveler. Since the Childe fight, and even more so since Traveler has shown his elemental skills to Kachina (where we again saw how no statue is needed to canonically cycle between elements), I felt there should be a kit in place that does not switch between elemental setups, but rather allow us to customize talents and constellations in the menu based on what we have unlocked so far, with at minimum the ability to choose our skill and burst. (It would also probably herd the devs towards enabling the switching on and off of the constellations, which would have some nice challenge and showcase use to it.) It's muddied since Pneuma/Ousia and Nightsoul now, but those are regional gimmicks that should have been clearly separated in the kits in hope that older regions' units get something of their own one day. If only... Regardless, custom skill and constellation setup would raise the Traveler's theory-crafting value on principle how he can set up reactions without outside help and do away with terrible parts of the kit, like the hated hydro burst. Dual elements in this way, and in any way of Delusion-using characters, should also help with Elemental Resonance at team building. Traveler enabling 'Protective Canopy' always sounded nice in my head, but Alrecchino turning on 'Fervent Flames' without another pyro in team would be interesting at least.
As for Childe, I feel stance-witches can be bothersome, but something stylish like an intruding 7th constellation could work for a Delusion user. On, Lord, this turned out long. Sorry.
I think if they make delusions a new mechanic for characters as well as make it universal for everyone they would probably function the similar to the way echos do in Wuwa. Echos can still do different elemental dmg despite the person wearing them and each echo does a different thing all together so I think delusions would be able to apply a specifc element as well as grant buffs and have some type of utility that any character can do on command but it would come at a cost of HP or reducing a certain stat. Examples would be Pyro delusions giving off field pyro application and some dmg as well as increasing the wearers attack however their DEF is reduced during its duration, or Anemo Delusions create a vortex pulling any nearby enemies close by and increasing the wearers movement/attack spd however they take up more stamina etc. each delusion regardless of the element could also still have more affects and do different things so a different pyro delusions could increase pyro dmg bonus instead and give a brand new utility affect like temporary nuke dmg etc. This is how I think delusions could work as a mechanic.
A way to add delusion would be as an equipment slot, like a character's weapon. There could be a bunch of delusion of every element, each with a built in attack of the delusion's element. Characters equiped with a delusion would keep their kits untouched but gain an extra 3rd ability (on top of skill and burst) wich would be the delusion's attack. An other options would be to make the delusion's attack a passive effect that need certain requierment to take effect (like charge attack, skill, x amount of hits, hp loss, ...). You could have things like an anemo delusion that creates a little vortex to group ennemies. Equip it on someone in your Nilou team to finally get some grouping. A geo delusion that gives a shield helping you on characters without interruption resistance. An electro delusion that barely do any damage but generates a bunch of particles to help your er. Dendro delusion creating thorns to immobilise enemies. Cryo delusion making a blizzard dealing continuous aoe damage and slowing enemies. An electro delusion that gives you a sort of dash with low cooldown, teleporting you on the nearest enemi, perfect for abyss rooms where enemies are spread everywhere. Delusions could give sustain, damage, utility, elemental application,... And you would be free you decide wich to equip on whom allowing you some degree of customisation on your characters kit to boost their strength, cover their weakness or unlock new playstyles.
Like SV raids, maybe they could release 1 or 2 special domain every patch. If you pass the challenge you gain a specific delusion for a specific character. That way the meta isn't overflowed by every character using every element, but they don't necessarily close the door for any combination.
For the longest time, I had in the back of my mind an Aloy rework that (aside from actually giving her a functional kit, would allow her to flip between her Cryo bow (that provided all her stats and such) and Electro polearm (effectively her tech-enhanced spear from the game's). But such a thing would mean Hoyo has to actually acknowledge her existence and actually give a shit about her, which they clearly don't.
an interesting video idea would be to compare the value of consitlations between HSR and genshin (like how some units in HSR have game changing cons like robin e1) and which game has higher constilation value
Here's my idea for delusions, only delusion havers can use them, they're activated with a special button, it's a new button so can be given to childe as well, this switches burst and skill mechanics to the different element while making them lose hp ofc. A lot of different ways to nerf the character like reducing their Def, hp, increasing Dmg taken, etc etc with buffs and a different element of course, there's a cool down so you can't switch too quickly. Basically offers 2 playstyles in one cuz they've already been doing that with natlan units (xilonen being both a support and a dps for example)
I think delusions might function sorta similarly to how hold skills work maybe. like sneznaya characters can hold their skill and sacrifice a bit of health to activate their skill followed by a delusion follow up attack (like for example, a character like child who activates their hydro skill, followed up by another skill that deals electro damage) Or we could have activatable items (like the camera or glide speed fan) that works mid combat and has a specific effect like applying elemental infusion to the active character, or triggering follow up attacks of the delusion element.
9:25 Counterpoint to this is that so long as two overlapping characters each have different alternate elements (for example, Hydro Kuki but so long as Kokomi is not Electro) every unit will still be different. Maybe we get Pyro Kokomi and Hydro Kuki, someone might still pull for Kokomi instead because her alternate element is more useful to them than Kuki's default element.
This has been on my mind too. However if they implement this mechanic it will probably be exclusive to Snezhnaya characters as like the the night soul state on Natlan characters, it will give the Snezhnayan characters their own identity, and make it a whole new play style. Plus it wouldn’t be as much work for the development team
If I had to guess, my theory for next regions mechanics are gonna be more Co-op based. There’s one final stat we very rarely see ever get used which is “CD reduction” most likely so coop parties can get their skills and ults back quicker. The only person who we have currently who even remotely interacts with that mechanic is Chongyun at C2
Would be interesting to make delusions a special equipment that deals elemental damage like for example while cryo NA you get to apply pyro delusion giving additional pyro to enemies making reactions a bit more interesting
I think they'll be Alt versions for some characters, like Childe. Where you can pull for Electro Childe and if you already have the hydro one you can switch, with independent constellations like the Traveller. They will make banners for this alt versions of this characters, with new kits and specific constellations.
If delusions get a playable version, it is probably gonna be a Sheznaya exclusive mechanic just like Night Soul Blessing is fir Natlan characters. Probably the characters released during the patch 6 will have a mechanic that allows them to switch elements like Furina does with her charged. Like each character has 2 kits, ine for each element...
Aight, if we go that route: What if you can only have one delusion. Only one character at a time can have a delusion and maybe you can only switch the element of the delusion a couple of times or only in a specific location like with the sword of narzissenkreuz or traveler's element. Or alternatively, what if it's a snezhnaya exclusive mechanic like arkhe or nightsoul's blessing. Fatui-aligned snezhnaya characters might just have a delusion built into their kit as a stance like furina or childe. Or maybe they'll pull an HSR and met you switch elements for delusuon characters like childe in the character screen similar to the Trailblazer or March 7th. And maybe (hopefully) Child gets a second version like Imbibitor Lunae that is his Delusion Unleashed electro form. Maybe the ult being a state that enters foul legacy for a time, but drains hp over time while in foul legacy. One thing to note, and that's why it is in my humble opinion two different skill sets, childe has a dash in his delusion phase, that he doesn't have in his vision phase. Instead, he mostly shoots arrows, sometimes as waves on the ground, but nothing blade adjacent. He does have that weird ripple backstep ability tho. However, like I said, for his delusion state, I could imagine the normal attacks having the blade skill set, but electro, the skill being a dash like xiao's, maybe with 3 charges like in the boss fight, and then his ult being foul legacy. His passive is obviously still riptide, just electro this time and his electro and hydro riptide would clear oneanother like in the bossfight (when he hits you with a hydro attack that applies riptide, then with an electro attack that applies riptide, only the electro riptide will remain on you and then, if you don't clear it after a few seconds, he'll use one of his onehit moves, but only the one that corresponds to the element with which you have riptide. If you have electro riptide, his whale attack won't onehit you, if you have hydro riptide, the electro plunge won't onehit you, etc.) The way I see it, the kits are similar but different. And snezhnaya would be a great chance to implement that for upcoming characters and make a second version of childe maybe
I'd say delusions would certainly work as sneznayha regional gimmick. I personally envision it as a case of their elemental burst deals damage of a different element as it draws from the delusion either as either a long lasting effect or as a singular attack (unit applies cryo with their skill to mulitple target's and then deals a massvie melt reaction with their burst while another creates a long lasting hydro aura with their burst and goes to town on them with electro enhanced attacks from their skill). Honestly if they want to introduce delusions to existing characters then hoyo is going to have to do what they do for Honkai impact 3rd and create brand new versions of them, themetically it would make sense as taking up a delusion is a pretty big deal and could represent the character tossing out their old ideals for the sake of their goals and gives hoyo a chance to build this new take on them from the ground up. It seem vision holders are more resistant the the backlash of delusions so using them in tandem makes sense to me, using their vision for day to day stuff but breaking out the delusion for when things get serious so they neither kill themselves from the physical strain nor lose their minds from the mental stress. The prime candidate for this I think we can all agree is Childe, this form would fianlly give us access to at least some of his foul legacy. In terms of lore it's been stated he uses his vision and bow becasue he wants to have fun and challenge himself by handcapping himself BUT we've also seen that he is getting better at using his foul legacy it since he's gone from being able to sustain it for 10-15 minutes in liyue against version 1 traveller to going full throttle for 3 days straight against an eldritch monster. Maybe hoyo releases a version of him that has figured out how to access a more consistent level of power, something he can treat as a new baseline to build up from instead of a do or die limit break that nearly kills him while still being able to drop back to his bow and vision for when he wants to resharpen his physical skills.
we know that gnosis are remains of 3rd descender basically gods and all Visions are granted by those who have authority of the elements. Delusions are made from gods remains but weaker compared to gnosis. The ones which are mass produced in Inazuma might be the cheapest quality which can be given to foot soldiers. But those who have strong combat skills and elemental energy manipulating abilities they have no backclash because of their understanding over elements. Thats why Diluc was so strong even being able to Fight multiple harbingers at same time since he already has pyro vision letting him have Elemental manipulation and Delusion being Pyro made it much easier to use its power to his highest limits without suffering any backlash
I would like to see Delusions being an artifact set, for example a Hydro Delusion could apply 1 unit of hydro on an enemy hit by a normal attack, then drains 20 base attack for 4 seconds.
Could be more like this... Hydro drains HP Geo drains DEF Pyro drains ATK Electro drains ER% Dendro drains Elemental Mastery Cryo drains Crit Rate/DMG Anemo drains Character Speed
I don't think it'd need to be an entire new kit. Maybe just a little app to trigger a small reaction. Example Capitano: Cryo Vision - Cryo app + Physical damage dealer, Electro Delusion - quick electro app for phys res shred. The electro would only be used to trigger superconduct.
Imagine if delusions in question are maybe something one can get from a weekly boss, or some sort of luck based weapon, maybe an artifact set. If Mavuika can zoom in a bike why not? Theres a delusion set for every element, granting its ability and a certain drawback. For example, Hydro can be used at the cost of health, or pyro applies a bond of life that wears of when not using it, and if it caps you just die. It would be a fun gimmick, lets see what Kahneria brings, it sounds interesting
I think if they ever make delusions playable they’d probably only limited it snezhnayan characters or fatui character (with the exception of th house of the harth crew considering lyney canonically got punished for asking for one)Kinda like how pneumouisa is limited to fontaine characters or Nightsoul blessing state is limited to Natlan. Would make for a cool region mechanic and imagine if instead of being a new cryo kit for traveler we get a cryo delusion. I think the simplest and most likely way they could be implemented is having it limited to these future characters (and child) and have them just be the character’s kits switch between two elements. I seriously doubt they hoyo would let us just chose any element delusion we’d want and it would be limited to just one or two. Maybe a costume change but don’t think anyone would eb upset if that wasn’t the case ( except for childe since he already has a costume change when he using his delusion). Could even have some characters not have a vision at all and instead have 1 or two delusions. Though it would be pretty cool if the Tsaritsa herself could use a delusion of any element though that would probably make her too powerful ful
We should be able to acquire Delusions as equipable items, so everyone can use multiple elements, at the cost of health depletion or something. Hope they introduce something like that in Snezhnaya. Probably those with affinity for Elemental Energy have a better resistance to Delusion's negative side effects.
10:38 Arguably, since Raiden is an android, I can see her using extra power source / energy transformer if situation is particularly demanding. Nahida could do it for 'research'.
For delusion : Childe spend his energy to use it, he is exhausted after. Signora Delusion is powered by her flame. Teppei spend lifespan. they could make that each character have a downside for using Delusion : some spend HP, some spend burst energy, some endurance, some are slow after using it, ... and it would allow character to have a different element for the skill and burst, or to swap element with a charged attack (like Furina swap usia and pneuma)
Delusions could be a way to create Leap characters. Characters that are, still themselves, but upgraded for the modern. They tend to still be behind [current] characters but only slightly.
Considering that they are adding new special features in every nation since Fontaine, it would be really cool if the one from Snezhnaya being related to the characters having acess to delusions.
HOneslty i could see delusions being the "gimmick" of Snezhnaya, would love double element characters that lose life/get debufffed when using the delusion element
Imagine if they add a delusion mechanic on snezhnaya where you can add a delusion to the Caracter and ad an additional element to the character with a downside that you can try to cover trough team building, something like is this character use a delusion will drain your life so you are force to bring a healer, or another one that will not allow to use stamina(wanderer, kenich and Chaska do not use it so that could benefit those)
I think Snezhnya will be 🔥 if Delusion mechanics was a unique region thing just like what they're pulling right now since Fontaine (unfortunately kinda useless though).
for the simplicity of swapping, why not have extra party slots? in certain trial missions, i think we have had times were as many as 6 characters can be on your team? if not, 5 is frequently done. If a vision+delusion holder has 2 party slots, there's a natural already existing mechanic for how we can choose to swap to that form in combat. maybe there is a cap of 1 extra "delusion party slots" (except in snezhnaya and certain abysses it can increase?) and after that, you need to start bringing less party members. (otherwise we can theoretically have a full 4 combo element character team, and get a 5th trial element character and we need to start pressing "9" and "0" to swap characters... which is just gonna be impossible for console controller users)
I think Delusions are the Genshin Impact's entryway to Alters. We already have Tartaglia as our first possible controllable Delusion unit. I really wanna believe that Delusions could be the "Silver Bullet" we need for Hoyoverse to properly buff previously lacking units instead of having to throw a Galaxy-scale Hissy Fit to change 2 stats on Zhongli. Since then, they haven't even so much as glanced in the general latitude/longitude of thinking about changing numbers and stats on existing units; so the best we can ever hope for is rolling for an Alter Character as a "Buff".
What if they limit the delusions power to attacking function only and using it will create another damaging bar on the character so there's a limit to using it before the character reaches 0hp, otherwise, they may continue using it throughout the entire fight?
2:21 Hiiii :3 💕 I wanted to explain this! Basically people with visions have a higher elemental affinity and resistance. We are told that, just like delusions, high concentrations of elemental power are harmful for humans and the effects on their health is very similar to delusions Basically, people without visions can’t resist such high elemental energies. And coincidentally all of the characters we have seen use delusions and still be just fine do have a vision :3 this is very similar to the concept of stigmas in HI3rd if you are interested, where only certain people can withstand Honkai Energy (another manifestation of the imaginary, like elements in genshin) We still don’t know for sure if you need that elemental resistance to obtain a vision or if the resistance is a consequence of obtaining the vision But by the looks of it, it seems to be the second option, such is the case with some characters like Scara or Collei, who I think got their vision even after being exposed to the elements Fun note! dOTTOre seems to be running investigations on elemental energy and how to withstand it, that’s why there are fatui all around areas with deceased gods like dragonspine, the north of the desert, etc. and why they are also researching with kids, aranaras, pari, Saurians etc Otto from HI3rd does similar research 👀
Same thing in ZZZ with ether aptitude. Even if delusions are killing people I still support the cause! Doesn't matter if you are skin and bones or massive muscle jacked, nobody can survive a fatal sword strike, a direct bow shot, being pierced in the heart by a polearm. Humans since the beginning have always developed tools to even the balance of power between the weak and the strong. Delusions are no different. Why should a higher being determined who is worthy to rule over others
i feel like delusions would make other elements act like other element for example a character with a cryo vision and a anemo delusion they would do cryo damage with the grouping and element shred a hydro character with a geo vision would make a hydro construct
new Snezhnayan characters innately having Delusion access and being designed around 2 elements seems probable, but if I was to give Delusions to more characters, I wouldn't do it that way, and I don't see Hoyo doing it that way Alters They'd release Delusion Diluc, Delusion Childe, Delusion Traveller, Etc. It allows them to make even MORE money off fans of certain characters, while also giving access to this mechanic. IF they DO add dual-element characters (which would be sick) I suspect it'd be extremely limited and exclusive to some of the Harbingers. I expect Childe to lose his Delusion at some point in order to account for that and explain why his playable version doesn't have Electro access just so they don't have to retrofit him, and can release Delusion/Foul Legacy Tartaglia as an Alter character to still give him that Electro element playable
damage over time is extremely lenient for a character to access another element for a while, especially since most characters don't stay on field for very long anyway. How about you can't swap to them for 10+ seconds, with an adjustable cooldown? Further adapting from Terastallizing being once per battle, you could have a cooldown for using different delusions.
I think Delusions would make more sense as an excuse to get Alter version of Characters, since Genshin is the only Hoyo Gacha that doesn't really have that yet. You could throw a few extra characters in with the same mechanic that aren't using delusions, like Kazuha using his friend's Electro Vision or Kaeya using like Abyss Powers or something. And Arlecchino shows your Delusion and Vision can be the same element so the alters wouldn't even need to be different Elements.
I would imagine if they did make delusions a mechanic in Genshin, they could make a pretty neat kit for a Demon Slayer collab with Tanjiro being the main focus. He would have both a Hydro Vision and Pyro Delusion to switch from Water Breathing to Hinokami Kagura, and the state that places him in Hinokami Kagura would drain his health like Xiao's ult.
I never noticed that arlecchino had a pyro delusion. I just thought she died use them. Maybe i forgot since version 2 was so long ago, but in mind, signora had a pyro vision. Since she doesn't use a vision maybe that's why she wasn't made payable yet
nah, she got pyro magic through dedicated study. pierro gives her a cryo delusion later on to help her tamper down her pyro abilities and keep from literally melting into ashes with every step
If element switching becomes a gimmick for snezh characters, i will kiss dottore's brain My idea is that some snezh harbingers will still have vision as their main element, but can temporarily switch to delusions. But for non vision like Pantalone, I think he will be fully delusion gameplay, and his health starts declining after the first few seconds he uses it. Like maybe, lets say his skill activates his delusion and has an active time of 20 seconds. The first 8 seconds of activation wont hurt his HP, but above that, his HP starts to dwindle for every attack he does. It only stops when the skill time is finished or when he becomes off-field. And delusions as 2nd element wont give team comp buffs. Like say if Childe has hydro vision and electro delusion, he's still counted as 1 hydro character! So like the delusion is just a 5th secret element in the 4 man team
i doubt theyre gonna make every character the ability to change element via delusion; only those from szeshnaya could do so like how natlanese has nightsoul. so a hypothetical of what if everyone has one doesnt make sense. theyre likely to be used by specific characters in szeshnaya, along with an artifact set that boosts damage of delusion users since this idea established that delusions are characterlocked, they can kit out the delusions of characters uniquely different from their visions. childe can be free from his dynamic cooldown, higher multipliers at a cost of a slightly slower riptide slashes, giving a more stable application for agrevate, or echarce a new character could have a main dps electro vision, then a sub dps for anemo and have an artifcat set that buffs your dmg the longer youre in the delusion state
If HoYo will ever add delusions it would probably be added only to Snezhnaya characters, or to be more precise, characters who are canonically using delusions, since delusions are first of all a balance hell, and second of all something characteristic of the Fatui faction (Snezhnaya).
Starrail has the "upgraded" versions of characters, I think that's all we will get. So like 6* electro childe, somehow upgraded arlechinno, maybe kazuha with electro dash.
I have said this for a while, that La Signora may become playable once they release more characters capable of weilding multiple elemental powers at once by themselves, like Chasca or the newest leaked character whom I will not name or speak about. My concept of a playable La Signora is structured where she can play as either an On/Off field Cryo applier and sub DPS, OR an On field Carry Pyro DPS by using her Burst. The idea is, she is a Cryo Catalyst unit, with Cryo attacks and skill, but when she uses her Burst, she gains a Pyro Infusion and new attacks and skill, but it goes away when you swap off of her. This lets her utilize Pyro while gaining any benefits she could have by being Cryo, such as Shenhe or Cryo Resonance.
My thoughts exactly. Delusions for existing characters would throw any semblance of balance into oblivion.
Maybe Childe and Arle@@Cluvr
@@hailthequeenFM Arle doesn't need it. Her Vision and Delusion are the same element already.

I was gonna say just make it for the harbingers but making it a regional thing sounds much better
Best me to it
I don’t know I thought that only skilled people such as people part of the fatui are allowed to wield delusions
Your theory crashes at the mention of Childe who has both his vision and delusion
Snezhnaya characters could get the game mechanic of delusions with Tartaglia, maybe getting a new version or an upgrade
Yeah, I think it's more like the Natlan nightsoul blessing for them, maybe adding a second skill or burst, not a thing you can add to any character. Due to the story implications and the use of them being detrimental, it would be just really weird that anyone else would use them, like forcing them to use steroids.

If they were to make delusions playable, i think it's probably gonna be like Natlan's gimmicks. New characters would be able to switch to delusion mode with their skill or burst for a period of time, and maybe inside Snezhnaya they can have that for longer. But changing current characters (exept childe) would probably be a giant mess and wouldn't make sense, i mean can you imagine asking kokomi to wear a delusion after all that crisis in the archon quest??
my theory is that if the delusion user actually have vision or any other kind of power source within them, they can use it without too much effort and disadvantages
basically their physical traits and/or being blessed by the heavenly principles allow for such resistance
elemental energy is dangerous and potentially even lethal at high enough dosages so I like to think that, since a vision is basically a focus that channels elemental energy, the delusion is imperfect in that regard, so part of the channeled elemental energy also hits the user.
if the user also has a vision however, it shields them from this by absorbing and channeling the unwanted elemental energy comming off the delusion
im inclined to agree, even though fatui agents, mages, skirmishers etc use the power of delusions with seemingly no backlash, at least as far as we know
@@thegreatBarbossa Well considering Signora never had a vision, and her delusion actually helped her control her pyro energy. i think the delusions the actual fatui receives are so well made that they work exactly like a vision, but in inazuman´s archon quest the delusion factory was mass producing them, they made poorly crafted delusions
Please please I want Delusion Childe to be Playable
Even if it's just basically the same Kit but Electro, cuz honestly it's pretty perfect for Electro.
Childe's Delusion kit could remain nearly identical beyond elemental typing, and Capitano could be the guinea pig for a unit who was built from the ground up to swap elements.
if delusions were added i think they should make it use the Z key (or wtv key u have for the oculi finders) and it just makes the onfield character and skills infused with that element and a list of characters are unable to use them (like sara bc she loves raiden or baizhu bc he’s not physically fit enough) and itd have no effect on off field units (no cryo xingqiu unless he’s onfield) but itd work with summons and marks (ie. cryo guoba and cryo nihihi mark) and it transfers their dmg bonuses to all type dmg bonus up to a maximum (like if kazuha swirled all elements) and if a character goes below like 55-60% hp the delusion is put on an indefinite cooldown until your above the required minimum then goes on a 10-15 second cooldown i think that’d be the best way to make team building more creative and make it so constellations and stuff dont need to be changed
sara bcs she loves raiden 😂

I think delusions might get playable for the Harbingers in Snezhnaya. The most intuitive way to implement them would probably be similar to Furinas switch between ousia and pneuma. So you can switch between vision and delusion by holding either attack or skill. But i'm not sure if they will change any existing characters, i think that is way less likely, even with Childe.
what if they treat them like bang boos in zenless. it adds a special coordinated attack without affecting the main characters kit
Allowing the current roster of characters to freely change their elements would be absolutely bonkers. If they DO implement delusions as a gameplay mechanic I'm certain they're gonna place heavy restrictions on them, either:
-Only one character at a time on your team can hold a delusionn, and delusions aren't usable in co-op, or
-specific characters can only use specific delusion elements, so that Hoyo can thoroughly test the character beforehand and make sure no busted kit/delusion combos slip through, or
-delusions will be a regional gimmick and will only appear or 6.x released characters who are built from the ground up with using 2 elements in mind.
Gotta say this is delusional.

4:04 imagine being able to choose what element you get and you choose Geo
I like the idea of delusions being similar to the activatable echoes in wuwa. So that their effect would be tied to the item, not the character equipping it. Delusions could be farmable and have a determined effect like artifact sets do, and could indirectly buff older characters without them having to go back and buff kits.
As a subscriber of MistahFeet, the Michael Jordan of Genshin Impact, I am gleefully aware of Teppei’s demise. Thank you for showing it again.

5:50 VARS TALKING ABOUT TERASTALLIZATION IN A GENSHIN VIDEO 🙏🙏🙏 (please drop another pokemon video im starving)
It would be cool if Childe would get a delusion gacha and he would become an electro charged character dealing bot hydro and electro dmg
I think the delusion kills characters without visions. But if you have a vision it just gives temporary kick back
what about the fatui enemies? non harbingers
i think it is more about :
learn to use it, to spend something other than lifespan.
@@paulamblard3836 It was also stated somewhere that if you wear a specialized mask while wearing a delusion, the effects won't be nearly severe, which is why all fatui members without visions have a mask of sorts

PLEASE make a tier list/speculation video on hypothetical new passives at level 100. I'd love to hear what you can cook with this
each character has the choice between 2 ou 3 passives. they are strong on strong character, but very strong on character that need buff.
Neuvillette :
- +2 level to all talents. (it is like 13% more damage)
- each time Neuvilette deal damage to an enemy , all their non-hydro resistance are reduce by 6% for 8s (so physical + the 6 other elements). max 60%, each stack has independent duration. (this one does nothing for himself, but good buff to teammates)
Klee :
- +5s burst duration. the burst now stay active when Klee is off-field.
A very cool idea, I enjoyed the video and the various implementations you explored
I too believe that Shenhe rerun will happen
(It would also probably herd the devs towards enabling the switching on and off of the constellations, which would have some nice challenge and showcase use to it.)
It's muddied since Pneuma/Ousia and Nightsoul now, but those are regional gimmicks that should have been clearly separated in the kits in hope that older regions' units get something of their own one day.
If the character would use a delusion in game, they should lose hp the more they use it.
This is mihoyo we're talking about, at most delusions would be exclusive to Snezhnaya characters and only be available to use in Snezhnaya
Visionless Physical character with a delusion..... Absolute cinema ✋😔🤚
Sumeru - Dendro Reactions.....Fontaine - Pneuma/Ousia Mechanics......Natlan - Phlogiston/Nightsoul Blessing & Nightsoul Burst...
...Snezhnaya - Delusion/Double Elemental Mechanics
Here's my idea for delusions, only delusion havers can use them, they're activated with a special button, it's a new button so can be given to childe as well, this switches burst and skill mechanics to the different element while making them lose hp ofc. A lot of different ways to nerf the character like reducing their Def, hp, increasing Dmg taken, etc etc with buffs and a different element of course, there's a cool down so you can't switch too quickly. Basically offers 2 playstyles in one cuz they've already been doing that with natlan units (xilonen being both a support and a dps for example)
I think delusions might function sorta similarly to how hold skills work maybe. like sneznaya characters can hold their skill and sacrifice a bit of health to activate their skill followed by a delusion follow up attack (like for example, a character like child who activates their hydro skill, followed up by another skill that deals electro damage)
Or we could have activatable items (like the camera or glide speed fan) that works mid combat and has a specific effect like applying elemental infusion to the active character, or triggering follow up attacks of the delusion element.
Arle having both a Pyro vision AND delusion is wild, guess that's where the firepower comes from
more interesting debuffs for delusions!
drain energy
increase cooldowns
reduce defense, (risk of getting 1 shot)
reduce crit rate (lol kokomi)
Hydro drains HP
Geo drains DEF
Pyro drains ATK
Electro drains ER%
Dendro drains Elemental Mastery
Cryo drains Crit Rate/DMG
Anemo drains Character Speed
@@ibetterbearoundyou
Furina: I see this as an absolute win
@@ibetterbearoundyou make it max hp/energy/stamina drain, so it cant be restored back for a while
I don't think it'd need to be an entire new kit.
It would be a fun gimmick, lets see what Kahneria brings, it sounds interesting
oh my god no please dont give hoyo more ideas of rng systems im begging you i cant even keep up with artifact rng-
bad idea
Yes please do more what-if videos!
Though it would be pretty cool if the Tsaritsa herself could use a delusion of any element though that would probably make her too powerful ful
ever since Fontaine, we've started to have acess to unique elements so it's possible
Delusions could also be the introduction to the traveler's element switching mechanic in-combat
Considering that they are adding new special features in every nation since Fontaine, it would be really cool if the one from Snezhnaya being related to the characters having acess to delusions.
HOneslty i could see delusions being the "gimmick" of Snezhnaya,
would love double element characters that lose life/get debufffed when using the delusion element
Yeah, I think it's most likely the nightsoul of snezhnaya.
Is there background TV noise starting at 13:28?

Hiiii :3 💕 I wanted to explain this! Basically people with visions have a higher elemental affinity and resistance. We are told that, just like delusions, high concentrations of elemental power are harmful for humans and the effects on their health is very similar to delusions
Basically, people without visions can’t resist such high elemental energies. And coincidentally all of the characters we have seen use delusions and still be just fine do have a vision :3 this is very similar to the concept of stigmas in HI3rd if you are interested, where only certain people can withstand Honkai Energy (another manifestation of the imaginary, like elements in genshin)
We still don’t know for sure if you need that elemental resistance to obtain a vision or if the resistance is a consequence of obtaining the vision
But by the looks of it, it seems to be the second option, such is the case with some characters like Scara or Collei, who I think got their vision even after being exposed to the elements
Fun note! dOTTOre seems to be running investigations on elemental energy and how to withstand it, that’s why there are fatui all around areas with deceased gods like dragonspine, the north of the desert, etc. and why they are also researching with kids, aranaras, pari, Saurians etc
Otto from HI3rd does similar research 👀
Same thing in ZZZ with ether aptitude.
Even if delusions are killing people I still support the cause! Doesn't matter if you are skin and bones or massive muscle jacked, nobody can survive a fatal sword strike, a direct bow shot, being pierced in the heart by a polearm. Humans since the beginning have always developed tools to even the balance of power between the weak and the strong. Delusions are no different. Why should a higher being determined who is worthy to rule over others
Cryo Yae Miko paired with Hydro Raiden or Hydro Nahida would go CRAAAZYYYY, permafreeze frenzy
i feel like delusions would make other elements act like other element
for example a character with a cryo vision and a anemo delusion they would do cryo damage with the grouping and element shred
a hydro character with a geo vision would make a hydro construct
new Snezhnayan characters innately having Delusion access and being designed around 2 elements seems probable, but if I was to give Delusions to more characters, I wouldn't do it that way, and I don't see Hoyo doing it that way
Alters
They'd release Delusion Diluc, Delusion Childe, Delusion Traveller, Etc. It allows them to make even MORE money off fans of certain characters, while also giving access to this mechanic. IF they DO add dual-element characters (which would be sick) I suspect it'd be extremely limited and exclusive to some of the Harbingers. I expect Childe to lose his Delusion at some point in order to account for that and explain why his playable version doesn't have Electro access just so they don't have to retrofit him, and can release Delusion/Foul Legacy Tartaglia as an Alter character to still give him that Electro element playable
i honestly prefer the traveler to be the first one to use multiple elements(or some light element character in the future)
maybe after Sneznaya?
damage over time is extremely lenient for a character to access another element for a while, especially since most characters don't stay on field for very long anyway.
It would be sick to have yae for example be like a pyro character would be sick as hell
If this happens, it will be exclusive to Snezhnaya characters
I never noticed that arlecchino had a pyro delusion. I just thought she died use them.
Maybe i forgot since version 2 was so long ago, but in mind, signora had a pyro vision. Since she doesn't use a vision maybe that's why she wasn't made payable yet
nah, she got pyro magic through dedicated study. pierro gives her a cryo delusion later on to help her tamper down her pyro abilities and keep from literally melting into ashes with every step
If element switching becomes a gimmick for snezh characters, i will kiss dottore's brain
My idea is that some snezh harbingers will still have vision as their main element, but can temporarily switch to delusions.
Like nightsoul blessing is unique to Natlan, the only way to make delusions work would for them to be exclusive to Scheznaya characters.
i doubt theyre gonna make every character the ability to change element via delusion; only those from szeshnaya could do so like how natlanese has nightsoul. so a hypothetical of what if everyone has one doesnt make sense. theyre likely to be used by specific characters in szeshnaya, along with an artifact set that boosts damage of delusion users
since this idea established that delusions are characterlocked, they can kit out the delusions of characters uniquely different from their visions.
childe can be free from his dynamic cooldown, higher multipliers at a cost of a slightly slower riptide slashes, giving a more stable application for agrevate, or echarce
a new character could have a main dps electro vision, then a sub dps for anemo
and have an artifcat set that buffs your dmg the longer youre in the delusion state
If HoYo will ever add delusions it would probably be added only to Snezhnaya characters, or to be more precise, characters who are canonically using delusions, since delusions are first of all a balance hell, and second of all something characteristic of the Fatui faction (Snezhnaya).
