Sesko is top notch. If we would sell isak we have to buy another striker along with sesko and the same case if Callum goes. Scalvini very good better in back three than a four. We still need rw. Miggy Sean and Wilson plus some of the excess players liked Hayden dummett and Ritchie need to go aswell
Isak is a nailed on world class superstar. Much higher ceiling than Bruno.
Isak may well be world class, but it’s not as a number 9 centre forward, he’s not strong enough to hold up the ball, he would be better played as a number 10 with a strong striker being brought in to replace Callum Wilson, I think you would then see the best from Isak.
Bruno is very important to the engine room and isn't just simply replaceable. I want to see a year of Bruno, Sandro and Joelinton in the midfield with Willock, Anderson and Miley as the second unit. Isak should be able to stay if they move Wilson out and Sesko is a good buy at 45m to go with Isak. They will then need to find a young lad or an older vet to slot in behind those 2 as we need 3 Strikers. Moving out Miggy and Longstaff should give them the funds to grab a RW to go with Gordon and Isak, then have a second line of Barnes, Sesko and Murphy. The backline when healthy is deep. Next season I would expect to see Tripps, Schar, Botman (when healthy), Tino/Hall with depth pieces like Ashby, Lloyd Kelly (free transfer), Burn, Lascelles. GK needs a bit rebuilding as we should see Pope as the 1 but Martin and Karius should both see the door. They will need a solid number 2 and maybe Max Thompson can fill the 3rd spot in the roster of 25? He can't be much diggerent than Gillespie.
We should be concentrating on selling longstaff , wilson , almiron , targett and even the likes of murphy before any of our superstars
Targett won't be leaving, he's on 100k a week, where would he move to that would match that? 🤷♂️

Absolutely and moving Fraser, Hendricks and hopefully Hayden would be huge as well. Ritchie and Dummett are out of Contract so their bloated wage bills will be gone as well. Folks don't know how to look at the bigger picture. They just look at the number but many things feed into the FFP and PSR.

This is the problem with ffp. Forcing so called inferior clubs to the big 6 to the detriment of the rest. It's a corrupt system and if no one can see this, stick to watching the lasses.

I wouldnt sell him for less than £100m and if that's the case then we can turn around and amortize contracts over 5 seasons which would give them 70m for 1 and 30m for the other or some version of that but I'd rather look to move Lads like Wilson, Miggy, Longstaff, Fraser, Lewis and Hayden. Hendricks is out of Contract as well as senior team members like Ritchie and Dummett. Hopefully they can loan out Targett to save on that wage bill as well.
Sesko up front with Isak and Gordon - terrifying. Never understood the Barnes signing, although I rate him.
barns with his last club scored alot of goals , on the other side tripps does not score goals
I don't expect Trippier to be scoring more goals than Barnes, he's a full back.

Barnes will be a nice depth piece when we are playing on multiple fronts. EPL, Europe (which we should still be able to achieve with our run in), Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
With the new rules about FFP coming in around June & based on wages & agent fees rather than transfer fees, I think we can do more business than was first thought. As for incomings, I'd like to see 5 players join. Ben Sesko, Fikayo Tomori, Josh King, Takefusa Kubo & Manuel Locatelli. Outgoings, well for a start Karius, Hendrick & Watts should not have their contracts renewed. We could do a deal with QPR for Hayden like the one we did with Stoke for Gayle. Both Dummitt & Ritchie should be offered coaching roles at the club, keeping their influence and expertise whilst getting them off the player wage books. Frazer, Longstaff & Burn can be sold. All this will give us a leaner, younger squad of high quality, within the new PSR rules and without losing our stars.

The problem is if you sell isak who is to say a team wouldn't come in , in the same window and put the release fee in. We could lose both
triggering the release clause does not mean Bruno goes, its up to the player

If we start selling the likes of Bruno and Isak just to raise funds, then unless we bring in better to replace them then how are we progressing exactly.
Brilliant video Paul. I would rather keep Isak as I think he will be more valuable. Also when Tonali comes back he can boss the midfield with big Joelinton. Don’t want either of them to go but I know we need to sell at least one. Have a fantastic weekend everyone.

I think we'll keep hold of our stars and hit the free transfer market in the summer. This will help with the squad depth. More revenue will come in over the next season to help with FFP. Slow and steady wins the race.
I think we need Isak to stay as Wilson will go so I can't see us bringing in 2 strikers. Bruno regrettably would be the sacrifice I think as we have Tonali to replace him
I would take sesko but not at the expense of a proven isak (20 goals to a season strikers are hard to come by)

Isak for 130-140 million he is premier league proven and that is cheaper than osiman at 150.
Bruno has to stay he is our Gem and loves the place.

Question paul. Did Nufc pay the £63m upfront for Isak or was it in payments? If it’s payments then that would greatly reduce our profit on him.
Personally I don’t see Newcastle selling Isak it would make no sense if Wilson leaves, as for Bruno I don’t see him leaving next season unless it’s Real Madrid who come in for him, Yes Pep likes him but they have Rodri and Bruno won’t play second fiddle to him and let’s be honest Pep won’t play two holding midfielders they simply don’t need to.

Sesko would be an amazing addition to our squad we need someone who can play 40 games a season not sure he's been tested for durability in this way but both Wilson and Isak need to be used sparingly if we could make Wilson the third striker i think this would be the right role for him unless we can find a wonder kid for pennies

Keep Isak. Gonna be a star as evidenced by 16 goals to date in an "inconsistent" season and he'll likely git 20 goals. Just needs a foil to play off/with. Wilsin has done well but is ageing/injury prone

Yes if true he would be a good asset for the team just a pity we we have to sell one of our best players to buy another but we no FFP is killing us and other clubs expect the top 6 but we will just have to wait and see what happens for me

id say 85-100 for isak, i think he has proven he can do it the prem, hes still a young lad and with more creativity around him with the likes of odegard and saka he will get more goals which has been the problem for us this season not enough creativity.
I would like to see Sesko as a number 9 and Isak as a number 10. That would be a force to be reckoned with. I know Isak has had his injury problems, but has that been exasperated by our dodgy medical team and decisions? Also, that would only work if Howe is prepared to change his favourite formation and tactics. But, I would rather see Isak go over Bruno, but prefer neither of them left.
Sesko and Scalvini I would buy both. I would also get a second back up striker as well as a right winger.Would sell off Longstaff Miggy and Wilson if we can . May if luck get £30 million or so and with Amophisation may not need to sell off Isak.

If Arsenal sign Isak we might aswell pack up and go home, Isak in that team is 30+ goal a season striker. I'd sell Bruno over Isak everyday of the week and twice on a sunday.
I'm not averse to selling Bruno, tbh, !00 mills would help funds no end, plus I believe Tonali can play his role instead. I like the idea of bringing in freebies such as Kelly to improve the squad.

I’d like to know why one time transfer fees are part of ffp. Wages and ongoing instalments for transfer fees, fair enough, they have an effect on your stability going forward. But if an owner wants to splash their cash without creating future financial burdens that could sink the club, then what’s the issue?? How does stopping that protect the club from insolvency?
I've said it recently, sadly we should cash in on isak if howe is staying. He's a fantastic talented player but not suited for the only system howe seems capable of playing. One of them needs moving on in the summer
I cant see any team coming in and paying around £75/80m for isak quite yet, i know hes been good and has a decent scoring record but its not like hes coming off a 25 goal season or anything. If the club decide to sell someone iy will probably be bruno since hes the easiest high profit sale we can make right now.

Listen, this is an unpopular take, but has to be said. We need to 'scale' this football club due to the FFP bollox. We need to buy, grow and sell, until we are in a position to not have to. If we sell Bruno, Joe and Isak for say £240m that is roughly a £100m profit. You take that £240m and replace with 6 players, doubling your player count, then look to grow those players valuations. This is the only way to flesh out the squad with quality, using your own assets. You could sell Isak and bring in 2 Sesko's for example.

I would be happy letting isak go, he is a class striker but he's picking up a lot of injuries which isn't good for a striker you rely on, at times we've had no strikers 💯💯⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽

Always though isak suited Arsenal... don't think he fits our system so I'd be ok with it. But I'd expect 80mil minimum.

Why would we buy Sesko? For one he’d cost £80 million + Secondly he plays off the left where our best player Gordon is and thirdly he’ll have his pick of clubs not a mid table club who needs to sell their best players to buy…. We’re three years away from buying someone like him…..
Sesko has always been a Striker only played on LW for RB 5 times to get him in the team cause of the form of Openda. At RB Salzburg Sesko played as striker and scored 24 goals and was compared to Haaland
He has a release clause of 45m is right footed and can play from the left, right or through the middle. Imagine him, Isak and Gordon interchanging as they charge on goal, with Tonali, Edison and Big Joe behind them 🤤
