Navi were in a class of their own at Cologne on lan. Clear best at pro league, winning the grand slam and then this major was a dominant performance. They played so well as a team and then the individual performances were nuts. The 3 people everyone doubted of b1t perfecto and boom, all showed up. Electronic was a rock on lan. And s1mple showed why he deserved the major with an mvp performance

Nobody talks about the following play:
Round 17 (g2 anti-eco) - Amanek doesn't swing to trade Niko (who correctly jumped around the corner to bait for him) against Boombl4 in secret, and instead die to King Boom giving up a double kill to the CZ. Navi go on to win the round 2v3, instead of having to pull off the less likely 2v4.
If G2 converts that round, they would be up 13-5 before Navi's first gun round.
Forget Niko's whiff, THIS round (and misplay by Amanek) lost G2 the Nuke map.

I greatly enjoyed the major, in part due to these two gentlemen. Thank you. NaVi showed us all how weak the current top-10 is. They'd usually have at least 3 teams around that could keep up. Astralis, Liquid, Vitality, Faze, EG, Ence... This tournament, only G2 got near a map win -- and then didn't. Nobody could keep up. When they were put on the back foot, NaVi just fragged their way out of a tight spot every time. That shouldn't be possible. NaVi can be fragile, but when they have people like B1T constantly getting one kill too many, it doesn't matter if the opponents can't take advantage.

      a) With all the insane clutches nowadays, there was no gurantee that G2 would have won that round. B1t could have still won.
      b) “Losing their own pick” doesn’t qualify as much of a test when they made a huge comeback and were most likely going to win the 3rd map anyway.
      c) Navi won ALL their maps rather dominantly throughout the major, and even won Ancient (G2’s pick) with a significant gap. Regardless of how close you think G2 was, Navi STILL won. It doesn’t matter if it was 1 deagle headshot away, 1hp away, or 1sec in defuse away. They won convincingly and were nowhere close to any threat of losing a Best-of-Match, so they weren’t tested.

Astralis with God know how many roster changes. Vitality with Kyojin, G2 with no primary awper are three big teams with really stupid ideas to be even deemed "professional" orgs. The "try hards" (And I don't mean it with a negative connotation) like Heroic and Gambit made really deep runs in the tournament. I hope others get serious about CS soon.
