I just want to say, before even watching it, thank you for not having mid-role ads. They are so annoying. I know it hurts your income but I appreciate it. Just another thing that makes your channel amazing.
Actually, I do have mid-roll ads. Last year, RUclips essentially forced us to accept them. They said it was "optional", but if we didn't accept them, the algorithm would ignore our channel. So, it was accept them or see your viewers fall to practically nothing.
Just want to say thanks for your no nonsense exploring over the years. No loud obnoxious intro music and added phony fluff. Dude, you have been places, and thanks for taking us along into the "cenotes" of mining.
Wow this mine is sprawling; which way to go up, down, sidways. The vertical parts in these mines really fascinates me with their rickety wooden rungs. Maybe one day soon we'll get out west to do some good old western mine exploring!
Another video well done. Thank you for sharing ! I've watched a few videos that were done in some slate mines Wales , U.K. I think you should get there and have a look. You'll be blown away by the gobbing and stopes ! I would donate to help you .
Good ol' multi-faceted Margarita briefly gave me chills when I looked across the room & my telly was airing a doc re multiple-personality disorder, mirroring the many faces of Marge.
Super awesome mine explore justin you never seen to disappoint to show us the cool mines 👊, that shaft looks so awesome and inviting at the same time. Looking forward to part 2💪💪
The changes in rock, and humidity always amaze me. Also that mold mess on the one ore chute, strange how it was just on that one chute, and not seen on any of the other lumber so far. as others have mentioned, the Bermuda shorts on the one intrepid explorer makes for interesting contrast down in the mine...
That rock at the end has been heated to extreme temp suddenly, you can see the water spots on the rock that left mineral deposited in shape of water! Its prob humid because whatever super heated the rock is still hot far below. It might be part of a ancient (or new?) hot spring.
What I am wondering is, how is the Ore shute at 8:23 is moldy when all the other wood looked dry and untouched. Even the wood in the shaft looked dry and good.
Hi Justin, I really thought oh nooo that's it just a tiny little one level mine but then you showed the decline and it turned from boring to very interesting in an instant lol. That rock had a really red looking colour to it, it almost looked like blood but I'm hoping it wasn't, although I didn't see any other rock that had that vivid red on it. The next level down which I assume will be the 500 ?? looks like it's going to be a very interesting level to explore, I can't wait for the next video. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 🙏💖
Oh, yes, the next level is a big one! I think the level in the next video is the 200 if I recall correctly... I don't remember seeing any blood and so I would assume it is the rock, but that would make a good start to a horror film.
@@TVRExploring Oh wow, I do prefer big mines as the deeper you get the more interesting the layout. Lol yes it would be a great start, can you imagine a horror movie where you are lost inside a huge mine trying to avoid the serial killer within, yikes. x
8:37 Looks more like paint for most of that, maybe they painted one to try and managed to trap enough moisture in the wood to allow fungus. Or... that could just be what that paint looks like when it decays, some will leave a chalky residue. Or, could be both. I wasn't there to see it up close :)
@@TVRExploring I guess it ends up begging the question, what came first... rot, or paint. Because where I pegged the time, 8:37, there's paint peeling off the gate and showing damp but intact wood.
@@TVRExploring Thank you. I'm just starting to learn about mines. There is a mine locally in Santa Margarita. Bishop Peak is a local hiking, climbing destination right in town. There is a small mine, that I can't find anything about? Its near Cal Poly State University, it's been a party/initiation destination for decades for the students. Maybe I'll go to the local history center and ask around. Its not much of a mine, but I'm curious. I do have a couple of videos, if you basically want to see a grown man wet himself. There is a whole history here with the Chinese and Irish etc.
As far as I know...shorts are still allowed to be worn, on duty, under official uniform regulations for the Phoenix Fire Department....so that said, if its good enough for the Phoenix fire department....I am pretty sure its fine for mine exploring...but frankly, I have the opinion that its your risk and I don't think we need to 'Karen' a grown man.
Sorry, SLO County is in California. The only mine that pops up when i look up the "Santa Margarita" mine, is the Rinconada Mine that was an old mercury mine that started in i think 1816 on the outskirts of the little town called Santa Margarita. Sad thing is people have destroy the processing plant thats there. Is that the same mine as the one in the video? If so, theres 2 more in the area a little further north just outside Paso Robles called the Klau mine and right next ti it the Buena Vista mine. Both were mercury mines as well. Haven't been in them since i was a kid but definitely worth checking them out.
I just want to say, before even watching it, thank you for not having mid-role ads. They are so annoying. I know it hurts your income but I appreciate it. Just another thing that makes your channel amazing.
Amen to that!
Shining light on forgotten abysses, so you don't have to!
Honestly I don’t think he really does this for the $$$$
@@PibrochPonder Duh, but the money helps to continue his explorations.

I visited an old Roman gold mine in Wales, but wasn't equipped for the slate mines. That would be a good one to team up with local mine explorers on.
You sure can make good time in those dry mines, no waders. Thanks, I’ll be watching the next part!
Gotta love those dry mines...
This is visually spectacular. Thanks for making the effort to show us.
The stratification and colors of the rock down there were really cool! Can't wait to see the next episode.
What an interesting mine! Love the rocks and minerals and the way the mine bends and winds around. Looking forward to the next part.
Your buddy mine exploring in Bermuda Shorts is a bold statement :>
You've gotta love it...
Dude that leather bag at the first station was pretty cool. I’m surprised you didn’t geek out on it.
You and gly coolness are definitely the best at these mines videos.....keep up the great work and be safe out there.
Thank you!

Another cool video Justin. Thank you for documenting those places.
Loved the comment at @6:00 "The obligatory Budweiser can" 🤣👍🏻

Yes, even small amounts of humidity will make a very big difference underground.
Wow nice colorful mine. so much wooden work in the start. Wish someday explore together with u Sir. Love nd respect from GLOBE EXPLORE
Thank you. I hope so...
Very good. Always love you guys. Thank you

Nice colors in the mine 👌

Another good video. Can only imagine how disappointed the miners must have been to be working a drift and come across that crap rock
Mining is hard enough already without being in bad ground!
The board game Chutes & Ladders never made sense to me as a child. Now I understand sfter watching these videos.
Chutes & Ladders for adults here...
What I am wondering is, how is the Ore shute at 8:23 is moldy when all the other wood looked dry and untouched. Even the wood in the shaft looked dry and good.
The stope attached to that ore chute must run near the surface and water from the winter rains percolates down through there.
This is a impressiv mine
I am looking forward what to come
Take care

Thanks, Frank.

Near a hot spring for that rise in temperature? Cool mine
Bone dry all around...

I'm glad you like going under ground I'll watch your videos and just set in my chair.
That ‘piece of equipment’ at 4:48 is a car suspension sub-frame.
There's a lot more of it at the bottom of the shaft.
That shaft looked like it might be a good amusement park ride.
Haha, well, it would be a hell of a ride down, to be sure!
Well that mine shows it face very often, they were all over the place.
Pretty cool 👍
Good heavens that is deep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Circuitous rails are great for exploring, but I bet the guys laying those rails wished they went straight.
Haha, yes, it must have been such a headache to bend those rails into place and have them line up properly.
Refrain:
Sliding down the stopes, sliding down the stopes,
We shall come rejoicing, sliding down the stopes.
I like it.
The ladders at 7:09 look like they go through a large borehole.
@8:00 they sealed that off from the creature marked in spray paint. I would hate to figure out what horrid creature that was lol
Is this the one San Luis Obispo County California?
Pales in comparison but I wish I knew the history of the small mine on Bishop Peak ?

Who in the hell would dislike this ????? Lets find them and give them a healthy slap upside the head !!!!
SWEET!
Lots of rock was moved to make that shaft
Yes, it was! Wait until you see the size of the next level...
If so, i was just in that min but my buddy pussed out so i didnt get to see it all. Going back though
It's tough to find good mine exploring buddies that you can rely on. Really tough...
You're telling me man. Haha. Its creepy as hell in old mines by yourself. Haha
Yes the echo is Weak in this mine.
There were definitely some sporty sections in this mine.
Someone was way down there after 1980 cause that's not a pull tab bud.

Have you ever not taken your waders because you were confident no water then get in a mine and it has lots of water? or are the waders like mandatory.
Haha, that has happened so many times... The waders are a huge pain to carry and so I don't bring them if I think it can be avoided.
so big
Wait until you see the labyrinth on the next level!
