Everyday this man is reviving knowledge of islam on a whole other level. No one else is really talking about these sort of issues and I’m glad that we have one person who is, so that the masses can properly understand what it means to be a follower of islam. May Allah reward him for his efforts.

There are, but few are able to articulate it in a way so easily understood by the youth and masses and have a platform with the same kind of reach as the Sheikh

Mashallah tabarak Allah. Mr. Yasir would be the spokes person for Muhammad PBUH if he was alive today. NO other scholar has the in-depth knowledge and history that he has. I have been listening to Yasir for Many years and despite the negative feedback from some, nobody comes close to him.
I would like to say Yasir brother you have enriched me with information and reinforced Islam in my heart. Jaazakallah
Watching you from Toronto Canada. Inshallah one day I hope to see you live in my city one day

SubhanAllah, the range of perspectives on whether how much not praying makes you less of a Muslim is quite broad. Ya Allah, Keep us steadfast on our prayers and good deeds and keep us on the straight path, Ameen.

I understand the Ayah of the A’rab; as follows: “your Muslim because you recognize the believe in Allah but you have yet to understand the meaning of being a worshipper of Allah and how beautiful this believe is. So I (Allah) accept your good deeds, but the true belief is yet to reach you, but strive for it.” And Allah knows best❤

The explanation is as simple as follows:
Like many quranic verses, the context explains better. Those nomads accepted Islam at later time when Muslims become powerful. And another quranic verses says that they did go for battle along with Prophet. So they are encouraged to go for battle from one side and on the other hand, the "eiman" can be proven by only a test and at the time of test and the battle field is an important field of test. To say.... those who have full eiman only can go to battle field... others just partial and at the time of test, it may gone...
So Allah did not speak to nomads (aarab) only but, He took it as an opportunity to explain, there are many things in Islam to do and going out for war for a legitimate reason is an important of them.

Some thought-provoking comments. Who is Muslim and who is not is very complicated, and no one knows except Allah what is in someone's heart. But, in my opinion, if someone does not accept a clear verse from the Qur'an such as giving Zakah is mandatory to be true is clearly a Munafiq and our Prophet (PBUH) told us not to be in the Zanazah of such a person. But, if you don't give Zakah without rejecting the mandatoriness of this in Islam, then you do a major sin, but you are not a Munafiq. Regular salah can help you avoid such major sins by Allah's will :)

ya Sheikh, your comment about Abu Bakr (rA) seems contradictory to what you mentioned after the seerah series.
also, please clarify: if Abu Bakr thought they were Muslim (according to your post seerah series) why then would Uthman (rA) feel so strongly not to fight the rebels because they were Muslim and he didn't want to be the first to raise the sword against a Muslim?
JazakAllahu Khayr for everything. you're in our duas.

Shaikh speak of arrogance here for no reason..
There are two type of arrogance, one is real arrogance and the other is pretend to be arrogance.
Once during a journey to at battle, at a night time the Prophet and some companions sow some one coming alone in a distance. It was not visible who was he. The Prophet said at that time "you be Abu Dhar" .
To say "be and then it will be" is only done by God Almighty. Using the same phrase is considered arrogance.
But prophet Mohamed used it and then later the companions found that he was Abu Dhar Al Gkfaei. The story is long but the lesson or moral out of it is that some times it is allowed to pretend to be arrogant without real I tension of it..
