CAKE= his friend who he knows more than 10 years. JIMIN: (PICTURE OF FOREST) It's tied into an incident he was involved when he was 8 yrs. old. What happen to the Arboretum Flower scared him it started his seizures & cause him to lie.. What did he trade for the picture? an UMBRELLA. NAMJOON/RM: RM grew up in poverty, what did he trade in for the mirror? a HAIRTIE that his been trying to give this to this girl. SUGA: (Piano Key) Piano key was from his moms piano, which was burned during a house fire. The same fire that took his mother away. What did he trade for? a LOLLIPOP this lollipop linked to this girl. V: (Cellphone) was linked when V was trying to get a hold of RM, after he had stabbed his father. What did he trade for? a BAGPACK the bagpack was linked to this girl whom he met at a convenience store they hang out for a while & got close. JUNGKOOK: (HIMSELF) what did he trade for? a KEY for what? for the rest of boys happiness for his own happiness? but in the end he faces himself... SMERALDO FLOWERS Jin tried to protect it but he failed. It symbolizes the girl whom he cannot protect. CONTAINER & BUS HANDLES RM represents his life living & staying in the container brcause of poverty the hanging bus handles referring to the girl whom he always see at the bus. The Room where jhope represents the theme park whom his mother abondoned him, jhope tried to fight back his fears but it still slips through & it fills him. Jimins room/bathroom or dance room his most recent regret was when he collided w/ his friend during practice, he face the mirror he stills sees the 8 yrs old he was before stil exist. V represent the cellphone the SAVE ME line represent the girl whom he get along. JUNGKOOK dark room reprensent the boy who suffer in order for everyone to be happy in the end what did he unlock? at the fountain his own happiness? the boys fears comes in that's when they realize the things that they traded in is only for temporarily happiness FAKE love. MASK represents they wearing it in order to that they no longer be recognize who they are.
There are English subtitles you know. (cc button) btw, no cgi was used. The images that you don't understand tie in to a storyline that runs through their albums. The 'point' to the snickers bars, the water filling the room, the fire is that it all ties in to the storyline. Too much to explain here, but BTS does nothing by accident. Every tiny detail is well thought out.

I think it was in the video run, where sugas apartment burns down and jin is sitting in a bath tube. So water and fire are strong and repeating elements in all there Videoclips.
When you find out that the water scene, fire scene, and collapsing floor were not edited and you just sit back at the effort and work put into this video. BTS is on another level. BTW your reaction to this video is so accurate that it's not even funny.

In 2:38 basically.... The man in the colourful suit is J-Hope and when he was young he got abandoned by his mum at a young age about 4 years old and left him a bar of snickers! Fun fact: there was almost no CGI whatsoever. The only real CGI was Kookie's petals in waterfall room xD Fire in the room with Suga and Jin's room that blows up were real BUT the members were filmed separately and then two shots were overlayered. Waterfall, flooding water in the room with Jimin, falling floor, smartphones - all those are completely real sets and real shots.
As far as the dance, if you notice the moves include 3 major repetitive actions. Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. (Covering ears then eyes then mouth)

THE SNICKERS BARS: actually symbolise something REALLY sad -- BTS have this running 'story' throughout many of their videos under an alternate universe. J-Hope (dude laying on the snickers bars/in the carnival room), in the story, was abandoned as a child by his mother at an amusement park after she gives him a chocolate bar. So really him curling up on the snickers here represents his last memory of his mother and the loneliness/abandonment he feels from that moment. Nothing in BTS MV's is random. NOTHING!
The thing about BTS is that they've been telling a story since 2015 through their music videos and diary like entries that came with their last albums. In Fake Love, all of the members are trapped in a room with the representation of their own fears/traumas, except for Jungkook (the boy running while the floor was falling), who can look into each of their individual rooms. His fear is losing his brothers, so by the end of the M/V, Jungkook trades his life to save the other members. Or at least, that's my theory. I'd explain further but I'm lazy. 😂 Also almost no CGI was used: water, fire, room caving in, floor falling down were practical effects.

I love your reaction! To understand the MV, you have to watch like a lot of the other MVs (like I Need U, Run, the Wings teasers...) cause they're all connected. They form a plot line and fans have a lot of theories about it. It's very interesting and deep, something you won't expect, i was going to say with a boyband but actually with any musical artist. BTS is the only group that has made something like this to my knowledge.

f.e. they are using filters to make the scene look "movie like" and the skins even more clear. irl they actually look like humanbeings while in most videos the makeup+cgi makes them look like angels.... or when he ran over the falling floor... there is a wire attached to his back to not make him fall down... cgi removed that...

I’m just gonna explain Jhope or the snickers. His mom gave him a snickers and then abandoned him in this universe that they have created. THE SNICKERS BARS: actually symbolise something REALLY sad -- BTS have this running 'story' throughout many of their videos under an alternate universe. J-Hope (dude laying on the snickers bars/in the carnival room), in the story, was abandoned as a child by his mother at an amusement park after she gives him a chocolate bar. So really him curling up on the snickers here represents his last memory of his mother and the loneliness/abandonment he feels from that moment. Nothing in BTS MV's is random. NOTHING!

The thing about BTS is that they've been telling a story since 2015 through their music videos and diary like entries that came with their last albums.
In Fake Love, all of the members are trapped in a room with the representation of their own fears/traumas, except for Jungkook (the boy running while the floor was falling), who can look into each of their individual rooms. His fear is losing his brothers, so by the end of the M/V, Jungkook trades his life to save the other members. Or at least, that's my theory. I'd explain further but I'm lazy. 😂
Also almost no CGI was used: water, fire, room caving in, floor falling down were practical effects.

f.e. they are using filters to make the scene look "movie like" and the skins even more clear. irl they actually look like humanbeings while in most videos the makeup+cgi makes them look like angels.... or when he ran over the falling floor... there is a wire attached to his back to not make him fall down... cgi removed that...
and the fire is greenscreen captured... pretty sure
