Yeah the new banner is essentially useless unless you have 180 fates to use, as you need to be able to pull 2 five stars in one go as its using the weapons terrible system that resets when the banner ends. A never ending pity that only helps if you either save for months or spend money. This banner is incredibly useless to most people.
for the chronicled wish to be good it should use a new currency with it's exploration sources spread across teyvat to be found by everyone if any and the rewarded sources, for example from collected collectibles like oculus or archon quest and adventure level given to old players that completed the requisites and made available to be obtained for new players that are yet to obtain it, using blue wishes would be unfair and using pink wishes makes it mostly useless except specific cases if you don't want the stuff on the other banners or need something so badly it's worth it to pull there, right now it is a stupid shit pulling the worst from each banner

You have to have 180 fates to use this banner and choose to not use them on the limited banners featuring new characters. This banner is so bad its insane.

The difference between current banners is that fate points are lower but a 50/50 loss doesn't carry over. So if you have enough wishes to lose 50/50 and keep pulling, it's basically the same as a featured banner, meaning this banner is good for people that saved up on primos/wishes. And if you want a weapon, it's less scammy than the current weapon banners.

I think it only suck because it's a Monstandt-based banner, if in the future if we get more regional banners like Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, with less standard banner characters, losing to 50/50 is not that bad because you have a higher chance to get another limited characters. For weapon though, it's an improvement less pulls to get your desire weapon. Moreover, if you really think about it, this means that we have more options to choose rather than 4 characters the number can go up to 7 or 10. And with the purple or blue fate, I think it has pros and cons, people saying this is a scam since you don't use blue, but most people don't stack the blue fates, so I don't see having blue is better than purple, and if we are using blue, than what is the purpose of the standard wish anyway ?
i dont get the hate for the new banner. yes, the points do get erased (not the pity) but at the same time if you lose your 50/50 you have a chance to not lose it to a standard character from the region. Personally, I would be very happy if I pulled for Klee and lost to someone like Albedo or Eula and not Qiqi for the 8th time.
I wanted something like it for so long. A Rotating Regional that completely replaces the Standard Banner using Blue Wishes that has a 50/50 Pity System. It also would’ve rotated new characters on their 2nd rerun. It would’ve reset 50/50 but it would’ve definitely lasted long enough since it would only be rotating through 7 Nations. Also a 4 star 50/50 selector. Any Thoughts. A few friends hmu saying they’d never pull.

In NIKKE we have golden ticket that can be exchange to whoever char we want in the future patch, i think it's the best gacha system ever. Will Genshin do the same?
This new banner should've used Aquaint Fates, then I would've been like "okay, this is kinda decent" but in this form, it's absolutely NOT worth it! Unless you desparately need a Hunter's Path or a Beacon of the Red Sea, you're better off waiting for the limited banner of the character you want. I hope they'll change it someday
I saw all the thumbnails hyping up "NEW BANNER in Genshin" and I just knew there had to be a drawback because it was coming from Genshin, I just knew there was no way they would actually make a better standard banner than HSR and I was right, they didn't; they made a limited banner that's worse than standard banner because you have to use event wishes on it and the guaranteed path resets just like weapon banner; standard banner still sucks, and now there's a new way to waste your event wishes; the only upside is that there is now some form of pity for standard banner stuff, but getting pity for standard banner stuff on an event banner is very counter-intuitive and dumb it's three years too late, and once again, it is ANOTHER underwhelming and stingy Genshin implementation; can't wait for HSR to copy it and do it 10x better
honestly have 0 hope for genshin to actually be rewarding for playing it, main reason I barely play is that it felt pointless grinding for characters when you get 2 primos a chest (legit had to 100% every area each patch for a chance to get one and even then you sometimes never get enough)
