Yep, my thought. I've been a Megadeth fan for almost 35 years. Know everything, really everything. This is the best album between the 90s era of Megadeth (Killing is my Business to Cryptic Writings) and the era from Dystopia onwards.

I remember when The System has Failed came out. I listened to it every day during the next two months. "Die Dead Enough" was one of my favorite songs of the album. I like how the album sounds different from any other album out there.
This is one of Megadeth's most underrated albums. This, I believe, is what Mustaine wanted when he initially produced "Risk.". "The System Has Failed." is pure deep cut that only a fan of music can appreciate.
@@LoganSewell83 I love "Risk", it didn't find many fans because most of the songs are slow or poppy and the band's name may scare those people who like that kind of stuff. "Breadline" and "I'll Be There" could have been hits if released by other artists.
"The System Has Failed" is like an old friend. I am happy every time I turn to this album.
They definitely should play this live again. Great song and album.

@@elijahwhistler4795xactly! I have examined his Vocal range now and its F♯4-C2 (Without trouble) and the highest note (Not including backing Vocals) is D3 so Dave could easily sing this live! (Most likely better than they did in 2004 because he struggled to go that low in 2004)
This is such a masterpiece. I think this song is criminally underrated, it deserves more attention than it got
i remember when this album was released, me and my best friend both met up after work and drove to the nearest music store and bought ourselves each a copy and headbanged all the way home.
he passed away in 2005, he was an awesome dude.

can you imagine if this album would have been the last? It was suppose to be a solo album, and nearly was, with the exception of Poland coming back for it. but had session players as bass and drums. (great ones, true that) but so glad we got more from Dave.

Easily one the most underrated Megadeth albums. Although it's rarely mentioned and praised now, it stands at the same list as Rust in Peace, Countdown to Extinction, Endgame and Dystopia for me.
Cryptic writings Another underrated album
TWNAH was absolutely a banger with Al Pitrelli and Jimmy Degrasso. Wish they would have gone on to the next 5 or 6 LPs

I've always loved this song. The guitar solo at 2:45 is insane and being a boxer something about "I can't punch hars enough" just gives the vibe this songs for me.
Of the albums that came out during the lineup shifts and chaos, I still think this album is severely underrated for all the great tracks on this disc. It’s one of my all time favorites.

Chris Poland should never have been kicked out. He was the most unique Megadeth guitarist and I loved his solos.
If he hadn't been kicked out, we wouldn't have had Marty.
I love Poland, but listening to the demos he recorded for Rust in Peace, you have to admit that Marty took that album to another level.

I believe this song was originally intended for the first Tomb Raider movie, but Dave decided to keep it. Anyone else remember this story. I saw this tour and Dave made a comment about this, I believe it was this great song..

Dave to you and your current issue you have always overcome throughout time and all the year's the king of metal my friend, hell I'm 45 just had my fifth back surgery in July , had to stop working because I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in January 2019, forget what I'm doing a lot of the time and this song reminds me of Life a whole lot, that is many of us can't do enough in life, even to the point of death except for my wife I have lost nearly everything except the shirt on my back because our ”System has failed" waiting for disability that never comes, but thank you for all the years and getting me through a lot of nights when all I can barley do is click a video on RUclips and watch you play while I lose control of my hands, body and mind
