From a creator's standpoint, it wouldn't really add that much to CBGFS and RAGS since they're already reoccurring characters in their respective shows due to being Gregory's parents. Compare that to when Roxy dated Circus Baby and Glamrock Freddy dated Ballora-in each case it added another reoccurring character to the show's roster and added more variety to the episodes.
