Of course there are some who are more specialized, but even then they're almost certainly better forwards than the best Sunday Leaguers around. The gap between different levels in sports is hard to overstate, you really have to play with someone who is a level above you and realize that professionals are even further away from them. When I played football/soccer regularly I was a mid-div 3 level goalkeeper and right back. D1 college athletes were so far ahead of me that it almost looked like we were playing a different sport, yet the gap between me and those D1 athletes was smaller than the gap between D1 athletes and lower-tier professionals. If those guys walked onto the field in the French 4th division they would be way out of their depth, and then there's the gap to top-tier players which is equally large. I was pretty damn good at the sport, yet there were people who could easily humiliate the people who could easily humiliate the people who could easily humiliate me. Professional athletes are a different breed, they're legitimately the top 1% of the top 1% of skilled athletes, and even then only a fraction of those professionals are anywhere near good enough to play at the highest level.
Lassi Hurskainen is one of the OG trickshotters as a goalkeeper on RUclips, not many people know this. And he played to a very good level professionally as well. I used to watch him when i was still in school and he was the first person i've seen actually hit a low side volley close up!

Put several tables together on each side of the curtain and use the curtain as the net and play (kind of a crazy idea but could be cool)
