For people who see this I live here in Tulsa and the best times to go is when the sun is setting and during Christmas. They go crazy with the decorations
We have a shuttle from downtown to the gate now. It starts at the Denver Avenue Bus station & goes to the front entrance with a few stops along the way I believe. I'm sure a couple are for park & ride places. Or you can take the local buses but have Abit more walking too.
I lived in Tulsa, and things not covered by you were: It is free to canoe on the lake, weather permitting There is a free museum in that tall building that's free to go to They have a couple of restaurants in the park that you can go to. Depending what you want to see or do, park in that area. The bridge over the river use to be a pedestrian bridge. It goes close to where October's is held. I agree, make a picnic day of it. You can't see it all in one day even if you arrive at the park when it opens to when it closes. Although opened to the public, it is privately owned. There will be security all over the park. Please throw away any trash. Pick up after yourself. Yes, keep your eyes on all your children, even the older ones. We don't live in Tulsa anymore, but we are visiting this weekend. We plan on going.
I certainly wouldn't call it the 'best' by the video. I'm sure it's a fun place, but it doesn't even have pretty landscaping. That's something that is always an appealing attribute for tourists.
I didn't see any specific play equipment for children with disabilities such as wheelchair bound children. It would be great if they could add something for them.
At the sports area, all those lighting poles were really awful. Is the place open when it's dark outside? It shouldn't be. Is there anything there for adults to enjoy or is it just a huge children's park?
There are hiking trails as well as bicycling trails. I didn't bring a bicycle with me on my trip to Tulsa, so I can't tell you how long the trail is, but there is a pretty long trail along the river. They were closed (not sure if because of COVID or the season), but there is also a place there to rent paddle boats, canoes and kayaks. In the area next to the park, there are hiking trails past numerous apartment buildings (also parking nearby) that have numerous nature-themed statues, such as deer and elk.
I know im randomly asking but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb lost my account password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
@Ismael Noah I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out now. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Although it looks out of order, the landscaping was specifically designed that way. “Michael Van Valkenburg & Associates designed Gathering Place’s horticulture style to be lush with thick, mixed plantings and a rural aesthetic. Species are planted in swaths and shifts, with mixtures of texture and color. Nature will guide the garden development as aggressive plants take over. Plants are designed to swallow up hard edges and rails, and the Park is designed with active resistance to an overly tidy look. The over-arching theme of the natural areas features a mixture of ecological regions found in Oklahoma including prairies, wetlands, and forests. Additionally, there are park-like explosions of lawn, formal shrubs, flower displays, and secluded garden gems. “
Do not support this park! They are using a frivolous lawsuit in an attempt to drive a small business into the ground. Support your local parks and small businesses, not the greedy corporations that own this one.
I'm a oklahoma to california transplant , disneyland is in california , disneyworld is in florida and both Are Expensive Theme Parks. The Gathering Place Is Just A World Class Park....
Did Helen Keller make this video? Worst attempt to show all the positive view points but yet you have background garbage. Just poor showing of a good park.
2020 Halloween drive through at 'The Gathering Place'......OK, it doesn't work. NO way folks got into the place. It closed and there were still hundreds of cars in line. Who ever thought this use of the park would be great. Nice try, terrible. You have really bad entry and exit to the place. It will cost another 500 mil to fix the entry exit mess....and it is a mess. I blame democrats.....yuk! just kidding.....
my son and his wife waited 4 hours in line to get in the place, they were hoping to get pics if their 1 year old inside the park.....my son called me several time to give me up dates......they gave up, but the traffic was so heavy it took a while to get out of line.....they finally got out of line drove by the entry and the park was closed.....so any more smart remarks.....do you not read well? Guess where they are not going this year.
@@jesticejohn9467 sounds like bullshit. I live in Tulsa and I take my son 3 times a week to the skate park. You could easily park in the neighborhood and walk.
I was just there about a week ago and it's pretty amazing. You could literally keep children entertained there for days.
Plan on taking my Keikis there… Mahalos for the info 🤙🏽🤙🏽

They actually have areas for that as well. They did an amazing job on this video but only showed about 25% of the park. It’s huge!

Who isn't a kid at heart? Great walking exercise...lots of stairs or ramps to use. Beautiful plantings.
Who knows. Maybe Haun is doing it.

Tracy Police Department detective never called child protective service back before they got me and the judge fired.
As in turn someone else's cellphone on without us knowing about it now for over 14 years
Maybe the boy saying what is he supposed to do with the dead body sound I heard also about 5 hours ago stabbed

How about 10, 000 CASES OF WALNUTS YOU NEED AND WANT?
So in memory of giovanni
Suppose you go do this to the Tracy detective that never called me back

Are you a homeless teenager in tulsa tonight?
You can run your foidtrucks with propane tanks and stay in tulsa
I agree that this is the best park in America! We absolutely enjoyed it too! Check out our video of it: ruclips.net/video/BUun-ng1Dfk/видео.html
I am going to blame GUESS WHO IF YOU SAY OBE MORE THING TO ME THROUGH MY CELLPHONE
Best park replaced a historical home and property. I am not impressed as a Tulsan they could have created this on the west Bank of the river.
It's not private
Actually it is legally considered private. That way they can keep guns out.
It was totally paid for with private donations. No tax dollars were spent on the construction.
We have another beautiful facility and no where to park.
There are lots of parking spaces there, on more than one level.
Probably not the best park in America 🤣
But I would say it's decently design
I’ve been to a lot of parks in the US and I’d say it’s up there. More interesting than Central Park in my option.
Your son said you are homeless
Food Trucks
Great pictures. Terrible music....though....too brassy and annoying.

Disney land Florida is the best park in America
Disney Land is in California, you will not find it in Florida. Even if it was, $100/person to stand in lines all day is not my idea of fun.
