I love how recently published animes have metal in their OPs. Record of Ragnarok, Attack on Titan, and now Bastard!!. It makes a metalhead like me so happy.
Omg, I choked on my chicken when this song came on. I was already excited about this anime and then, as a plus, it has an AWESOME theme song! NEVER SKIPPING THE INTRO!!!
Omg ty for putting the lyrics up with the song, I had this tune stuck in my head for weeks but at first I couldn't understand ANY of the words, I'd catch a line here or part of a line there, & at first I wasn't sure if the singer was singing English, or if he was switching back and forth between japanese and English , I think the accent was what threw me off, but after watching this video and listening with the lyrics, not only do I love this song a thousand million times more because it has really awesome lyrics that I can understand and sing along with now, but the feeling of confusion and unsureness that I had when I couldn't hear the words is gone and now I can just rock the F out every time this comes on, instead of mildly nodding my head while trying desperately to make sense of the vocals lol

This song has all the Punk Rock/Metal/Emo vibes and I'm absolutely here for it! It's phenomenal since it's coming from a Japanese band. I would have never guessed it.

But with this band and this song, that isn't the case. I thought it was an American or Canadian band until I saw they're Japanese. Not only is their English great in the song but the song itself is great, like a tribute to old rock songs. So good.

'Sound of War' inspired 'Dirty Little Thing' by Velvet Revolver. And I think 'Free Me Now' inspired 'Tooth and Nail' by Dokken. Old timers wonder how a snow flake like me knows this shit.
Honestly I was really hype for this anime cause I was a big fan of the old one, and the manga, but I'm overall pretty disappointed in the new series that just felt weirdly childish while also being horny as hell... but this frickin' song goes so hard. If nothing else I love the entire opening song + animation and I will take it. Have been listening to this on repeat. Coldrain is amazing, and every time I hear one of their new songs I have to add it on all my playlists.
