1984 - Birmingham Superprix - News from the Chequer Bitter parade

In this video clip of the 1984 Chequer Bitter parade in Birmingham where the akeshift paddock was kept in the wholesale market!
It proved to be a hit as it has attracted a lot of spectators to view the parade and witness well-known drivers since as Juan Manuel Fangio, Stirling Moss, John Watson, Innes Ireland, Derek Bell and James Hunt in many different cars from different eras.
You can see a bearded gentleman in the video, it is Martin Hone who came up with the idea of hosting a motor race/road race in the street of Birmingham.
