author of the text "Ikanaide" Goro Matsui. For the first time, a Japanese poet heard "Ikanaide" performed by Dimash at the anniversary Tokyo Jazz Festival Goro Matsui wrote: heard Dimash singing "Ikanaide" by chance. The first thing that impressed me was his crystal clear tone and expressive voice. I heard other Asian artists perform the song many times, but despite their magnificent vocal skills, none seemed to capture the true meaning of the original lyrics. In the chorus of the song, the line "Ah, Ikanaide" is repeated several times. And although these are the same words, each line has a different meaning. And it seems to me that Dimash felt it. "
That's a beautiful performance by koji tamaki, very emotional. Dimash transformed the original into pure art. His vocal control in this song is off the charts ❤🙏
Several Japanese reactors expressed how amazed they were at how perfect Dimash's Japanese pronunciation was and how articulate. Unless you heard the original artist, Koji Tamaki, sing this, then you may be confused about hearing this song before now. I did listen to the original by Tamaki, and even with an amazing orchestra backing him, this version by Dimash had so much more emotion to it and was so beautifully done with a minimal amount of music. Sorry to hear you are unwell and hope you feel better soon. You have a very serene appearance which is endearing. I heard you slip once with a bit of profanity, and I hope that will be the only time. Foul language detracts from you in the worst way.
This song is about an artist during WW2. She resided in China and loved by the country. When her true identity of being from Japanese origen surfaced, China who once loved her, now despised her accusing her of being a spy. She was deported back to Japan and never allowed to be back. Her heart was broken for her beloved China and wrote this song. True story...💔
Kōji Tamaki is a Japanese singer-songwriter of Ikanaide and Dimash performed a previous version in Chinese called Autumn strong ruclips.net/video/FXQ58U-Eddg/видео.html this song is based in a true story about Yoshiko Yamaguchi who was born in China, hid her japanese heritage under a chinese name, became very loved. After WWII, her heritage was exposed, she was arrested, accused of being a japanese spy, and sentenced to death. She was ultimately cleared of charges, but was advised to leave the country, as she risked being lynched. Dimash is a master of the story-telling, his voice makes you feel deep emotions and takes you there where that song happened. Beautiful!! A Japanese reactor mentioned that his softness with the hard consonants is a function of how well Dimash understands and has learned the mechanics (tongue and jaw placement) of the Japanese language. It's something very difficult for native English speakers to do. ❤️🎤🔝🔝🌹🌹👏👏👏👏
This is the same melody as Autumn Strong which he sings in mandarin. Similar lyrics but not exactly the same. There is a back story to that one. At his recent concerts, Dimash has sung the first half of this melody as Autumn Strong and the second as Ikenaide, This satisfies us all cos we all have our favourite rendition. Mine is Ikenaide.
Simplesmente incrível, Dimash é único, saudações do BRASIL 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷❤

The "old man" is Koji Tamaki", who wrote the song. He is also a great vocalist.
