Fun Fact: Homer and Krusty were originally intended to be the same person. it was meant to be an ironic twist about Bart Simpson in that he admires Krusty but hates his Deadbeat father Homer, when in fact they are the same person. Matt Groening never went through with it but parts of the original twist can still be seen in the fact Homer & Krusty share similar designs and even the same body shape.
I always thought they had the exact same proportions and everything, although it would be kind of hard to make sense of how Homer managed to be a celebrity.
If you're confused here's the lowdown: Thanks to the flashback we can see that this is not Krusty. It's Homer. Bunny Marge told him about the massacre that happened in her timeline. It turns out that LISA is behind it. Maybe she wanted the show to herself, maybe there was millions in insurance money if the family died. Let's not forget that Lisa survived unscathed from the attackers even though she was in their grasp. She was slammed to the floor but nothing else. Lisa was shot by Wiggum. Lisa is here to plot, plan and pay for the massacre. That's why there is money strewn all over the room. Homer, dressed as Krusty has gone to stop the whole thing from happening. Bunny Marge found this out with Ned's help and she told Homer exactly where and when the deal goes down. When Homer had killed Lisa's accomplices she uses the toaster Bunny Marge had brought back to get away. Somehow she found it and figured out how to use it. Being a little girl planning a massacre she knew there might be trouble so Lisa had the toaster with her for a quick getaway. When she saw Homer she panicked and got away before he could plead with her to stop. After uncovering the plot and foiling it, Homer, as Krusty went on the Kent Brockman show to explain what went down when he took out the criminal gang. Brockman was dismissive of Homers plight and mocked him. After all of the weird stuff he had gone through he snapped and killed Brockman. It seems like Springfield doesn't know that this is actually Homer (Springfield is full of stupidity) so I'm hoping that in the ruckus following the shooting Homer took off the Krusty disguise and slipped out the back. This is my best guess but it seems to fit everything. Let me know what you think! Edit: When we first see Lisa in this episode she is with the rich Texan. He is holding a suitcase. This is the money Lisa has gathered to pay for the massacre. The money is dropped by the Texan when he hears gunshots. Lisa is up to her eyeballs in this massacre.
This really cool and I can see it fitting, I'm curious to see how the story end. Also fits with a lot of stuff I see in other comments like why Marge has bunny ears or krusty and homer were originally going to be the same person. Did you notice it says jesus loves you on the wall in the intro at like 30 seconds? Maybe something happen to ned?
@@SpacePompadour I'm really hoping that Bunny Marge finds love with Ned. He obviously cares for her very dearly. Maybe after Homer tells bunny Marge he loves somebody else she gives her love to him. More likely is they will all die horrific, brutal and painful deaths. 🤣
@@katrinaherbert7540 Marge goes back in time but when the toaster is used, something always changes. The change is she grew bunny ears. (Which was the original reason Groening gave her long hair) Bunny Marge went back in time before the massacre happened and told Homer everything. Whether he was expecting Lisa I'm not sure of. Somehow Lisa discovers the use of the toaster and brings it along in case the deal went wrong. She is a little girl dealing with a gang of murderers after all, anything could happen to her!
She has bunny ears because in the episode before she made a wish to bring her family back after being killed but it gave her bunny ears as compensation
Well, Arthur was an obvious homage to both Robert De Niro roles in Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy...so there's a De Niro kills De Niro type of interaction going on in Joker as well.
The amount not people that don't see "The King Of Comedy" as probably the single biggest influence on the Joker besides "Taxi Driver" is too damn high. The saddest part of the movie is it's an amalgamation of other visionary works and doesn't have an original or nuanced message of its own.

Like the "do you love me?" part is so, weird. Not in a bad way, like, at this point in time they were all still alive and since Marge went back in time, is there 2 Marges or what. Homer says "I love someone else" I think he's talking about alive pre-slaughter Marge, and maybe he doesn't know or doesn't believe rabbit Marge IS Marge? I dont know, get MatPat on this.
Really like how you captured the pain in Krusty's (Homer's) face at 1:21. The pursing of the lips is a really nice touch. There's something quite inspired about the decision to convey these movies using beloved characters and with such a unique form of animation whilst also telling your own story with them. I know your first Simpsons vid was a "You're Next" reference, but I reckon it was largely made to get people's hearts racing. The little, simple ideas transforming into these wider narratives that are open to interpretation is great.
A more detailed theory about this, is Homer dressed up as Krusty to get his revenge on Kent Brockman after he made fun of Homers story. Marge went back in time and told Homer, and when he went online Kent Laughed in his face. So he came back as Krusty and Killed, Kent. Later on, he would go to the bar where Lisa stole the time machine to make a deal with the two men. Homer went there to stop her dressed up as Krusty once again. When Homer got there, he shot Moe and the one guy but Lisa went back in time in an emergency loop ruining a timeloop where postman pat, Pengu, and other characters slaughtered a movie theatre full of people ending in the death of Lisa.
Damn I love Lee, I mean absolutely love him and the content he creates. Sheer genius! But for some reason the Simpsons videos always make me a little sad. Episode 2 explained how Flanders stole the sword from a bank with a group of thugs. One being Chief Wiggum who was undercover and killed Flanders accomplices. Episode 3 showed that Marge was still alive and Flanders was helping her through grief. He gave her a sword which she used to kill off a bunch of characters to acquire a toaster time machine. Marge used the time machine and went back in the past. The time machine either gave her a consequence which was bunny ears or it restored everything but her hair which hid the ears. Part 4 is super ambiguous. These are my thoughts. Marge went back in time and told Homer what happened. As they are together Homer expresses to Marge that he loves somebody else. I have no clue to who or what that somebody else is. I have no idea what the deal is with the Shortline show either. I do believe it is heavily being implied that Lisa was making a deal at Moe's which Homer who was dressed as Krusty was trying to stop. I do believe that Lisa was either buying the toaster since it was there or she was hiring the thugs that killed her family. Regardless I think Lisa is the antagonist since she was dealing with sketchy people and Homer was determined to stop the deal.
I like how krusty is used to play both Joker and Travis Bickle. They are very similar stories about what society can do to a person but yet also showing that in the end that person does have the choice to either be a horrible train wreck or a horrible train wreck that does something awful

This comes pretty close to the second part as being my favourite of the series. I love, as well as adding the lore to the series, how it showed how well joker and taxi driver fit together
Esto no es un juego, esto es profesionalismo puro, felicidades Lee 👌 You did a great job
THIS SONG IS EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL!😊
The lighting in this is incredible
Waiting for the comment explaining everything
it's just a compilation of krust killing people in joker and taxi driver
Yes me too
Poketooth зуб покей it’s not just that but ok

Loving the Taxi driver, pulp fiction and joker references throughout this series! Love what you do Lee!
I love this series so much can’t wait for the next episode
Same here
The detail and effort that was put into this is absolutely INSANE
This animation is a combo of joker + taxi driver
I’ve never been so terrified yet so mesmerized

I love how this is both a reference to Joker and Taxi Driver.
Ok, now I'm totally lost with the story. I love it.
I do not understand a single thing happening in this series but I love it
Really want to see a new part of these Simpsons clay animations, these are so goated!

Yes, Run Lola Run, I knew that one 😁
Ah, yes. Taxi Driver & The king of comedy = JOKER
both much better movies than joker tho
@@tillerman7272 id rather watch Joker over King but Taxi over Joker
This is my favourite one so far, something very artistic about it that draws you into it.
The Joker movie too reminded me of Taxi driver, nice way to mix them together.
That Lo-fi music though...
I wasn't disgusted or creeped out i was just amazed how well made this is from clay!
Gracias
Esta cool la teoría.

These series are made so good! Please continue with them, its just so a heartbreaking story 😭
This is the best video I’ve watched in years
The amount of people that haven't seen taxi driver or understand the references are astounding. It's one of the best films ever made.
