It blows west around equator, blows east towards poles. Thats why these storms usually follow a curved path from equator to north america and north atlantic
@@euphrates5625 I'm confused, I'm in Britain and our winds are westerly, blowing in from the west (sorry for the over explanation I'm trying not to confuse myself even more). Our weather comes in from the Atlantic. So seeing a weather system blowing from the Atlantic onto land in the Americas was a surprise 🤔 I've just looked at maps etc but I'm none the clearer! Sorry about that
