World War 2 Radio Station tunnels - Paulsgrove, Portsmouth.

- Filmed some years ago (before uploading). These tunnels were built to house a Radio Station in the chalk downs in WW2.
The chalk pit was further excavated too, so now requires a bit of a scramble up the chalk to reach this destination..

I grew up living near the tunnels but never climbed inside myself but now I feel like I've been in them and not missed out, thank you for filming at a nice slow pace and showing detail.

Was there last night, so scary in the dark - to anyone going, bring a big flashlight as its hard to see. be careful climbing up too!

It's a fascinating, but odd little site. I like the way that it's pretty much invisible from the floor of the old quarry into which it was built - and it's quite high up on the quarry side. Hard to imagine that place bustling with activity, isn't it? I also love the evocative music you've used here - it reminded me of Brian Eno's beautiful 'Deep Blue Day'. Another great film, which I enjoyed immensely. Thank you.

Isle Of Wight Alternative Attractions - Sadly no, only through reading the Subterranea Britannica website - they have an annotated picture that shows it's position, and because IKS Exploration paid the site a visit. I'd love to see some of these places for real, but excellent sites like yours are the next best thing. Cheers!
