This brings everything into perspective with Joan. The writers did such a good job explaining why she became what she became, and Pamela Rabe did an excellent job of portraying all of those beautiful little nuances of Joan. The best victim/villain backstory I've ever seen. I said at first she was Trunchbull on steroids lol bc she scared me so bad. The stuff of nightmares, and then I got deeper into the series and you find out why she is who she is and it's so psychologically stimulating. The best I've ever seen, and so different from male victims. Hannibal Lector's dream woman lol. Antagonists are so much more interesting IMO.

If you cant feel sorry for her after knowing her background, then maybe you need to think about having yourself mentally evaluated, just sayin.

It made me sad: & also, think of how many abused children I've met who end up repeating dysfunction & violence because it was the norm at home, so they became desensitised & repeated it. There's a famous quote "Give me the child until he is ,7 & I will give you the man".
