This seems like such a sweet boat that gets overlooked. It's got more deck space than most 18'+ foot boats from before 2010 or so, and the layout/storage is fantastic.
@@BasslivesmatterLLC That's awesome. I've had boats from 17' to 21' and I really miss how easy the shorter boats were to tow/park/store and how easy it was to fish alone out of them. I'm gonna look hard at one of these if I decide to downsize from my Gambler.
So If you had it to do again you would go with a Z18? Why? I have an old Nitro 160TF. I am planning on getting a new boat. I don't tournament fish. Most of my fishing is small lakes less than 400 acres. I do however fish the Great Lakes a few times a year and that has me leaning bigger. I can't hardly go deeper because I have low bridges at my local lakes.
Love your setup! Looking at purchasing this model. You have it set up much how Id like to set mine up except the poles which I dont need. Are running the larger command thrust lower? What prop are you running also? Thanks
Hi young man great review awesome Nitro,I made a mistake 13 years ago when I retired and sold my Nitro,I have a couple Harley's & ride most of the year but today 3/25/23 I bought me an older model Nitro 170 TF Special Edition,She's sporting a 115 mercury tracker,I live aprx 10 miles from the ramp where I launch at SML I noticed you fish there also,I'm wanting to start doing some vids on my channel on several activities,Do you only do SML for tourney's or do you fish there fairly regularly?I turned 65 yesterday & though I'm tech savvy I've had no luck with cameras yet,Everyone says not to buy expensive go pro's they say there are much cheaper ones that do just as good,So I might buy you some lunch somewhere at bridgewater campers paradise etc,And get you to give me a few pointers on cameras & such to get my channel going.
Get the gopro hero 8 easy to use less expensive I don't live in that area it was just a Tournament we did with anglers choice thanks for the lunch invite happy fishing

I’m lookin at getting a bigger boat. I’m in a tracker 175 right now. The deck on this nitro looks so much bigger and that’s what I’m looking for. How did you like going from an aluminum boat to a fiberglass boat? Also these boats seem pretty reasonably priced especially when they are on sale.
Very NICE!.. I like your enthusiasm.. Just got a new to me 2015 Z6 (17ft 4in w/115hp ProXS) practically brand new and completely stock, still a VERY similar to today's Z17.. This will be my first boat purchase so which lakes or ponds to you recommend? Like I say it dosen't take a lot for me because I'm just starting out.
Any chance you know the total storage length with the motor trimmed down and tongue folded? Thinking of getting this but not sure it will fit where I plan on keeping it. I keep reading that the specs on the website aren't accurate. Thanks

Thanks bro tons of space the weight for trailering fit my needs being I use a 4dr wrangler to tow and plenty of speed I got it to max at 53-55 mph

How does your jeep tow with this set up? I am planning to do the same with my jeep and trying to buy a z17
@butapower class 3 hitch on my jeep makes it tow 3500lbs boat weight is 1400lbs dry after all my equipment batteries etc maybe 2000lbs max

Yes I work for jeep it can tow it z17 like 2700 lbs dry and I have the tow package that's why I didn't do z18 didn't want to push the tow

That boat is easily 35k, 5k power poles, 5k electonics, 3k trolling motor, labor installation, etc...im going to estimate at least 50k
