That's the wrong way to think about it I think; the challenge isn't just a feat of fitness but rather it's a bit of an absurd gamble as to whether it's even survivable considering the strain on the body. Nobody is guaranteed to finish when you're talking that sort of distance with that level of continued exertion - it's the extreme of extremes; doesn't matter how fit or fast you are, it may very well kill you. Kipchoge running at his pace likely puts even more strain on the body, faster defineitely isn't better here. It's possible he could do it, I think you're right there; for all intents and purposes he has the accolades; it's just a pretty important caveat that there's no guarantee with anyone that finishing this is possible.

Hardest geezers pace, as decent as it is when you consider the heat and terrain, would feel like a fast walk to an actual marathon runner. Incredible achievement I’m not taking that away from him but in my opinion the most impressive part is the fact he’s just a normal bloke with 1 in a million discipline and commitment. Actual endurance athletes that are able to compete at a world class level on the other hand, are almost a different breed of human entirely
