CombatAbrasives.Com Sanding Grinding Belts Shredder Surface Conditioning
Ceramic Shredder belts come in an orange/reddish color, typical of ceramic grains. The grain structure of these belts provides continuous renewal of the most consistent and uniform cutting edges. The nature of ceramic grain allows for faster cutting and cooler stock removal. They are adhered to a Y-Weight backing. A backing material's thickness (related to its flexibility) is categorized by the alphabet. Backings closer or rated as 'A' are substantially more flexible than the stiffest 'Y' weight backing you'll find on our site. Backings with an 'A', 'B', 'C', 'D', 'E', or 'F' backing are all considered paper backings. 'E' and 'F' weight backings are typically used to make belts as they are the most durable paper backings available (typically found in the wood industry) though still much less durable/thick than the full or partial synthetic backings like an 'X' or 'Y' weight. Typically various 'X' and 'Y' weight backings are used in metal working as the standard. Y weights are very sturdy and typically full synthetic poly materials versus some 'X' weights often being a cotton-poly blend material to allow for greater flexibility. J Flex refers to an even greater flexible backing material that is often used without a contact wheel and some slack in the belt so it can softly contour rounder shapes (e.g. a wooden handle).
Non-woven belts are made of an abrasive impregnated nylon material that is often used for the scratch pattern it leaves. It leaves a very uniform scratch pattern typically used in applications where a satin finish is desired. Surface Conditioning comes in four different coarseness levels. The coarsest one is a brown color and it provides a scratch pattern of 60 grit. The medium is a red color and provides a scratch pattern of 80 to 120 grit. The fine is a blue color and provides a scratch pattern of 150 to 180 grit. The ultra fine is a grey color and it leaves a 220 grit finish. Surface Conditioning works on materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, fiberglass and plastics, and nonferrous alloys. They are great for getting rid of imperfections in a surface making it smooth and burr-free. Surface conditioning is also great for a consistent finish in fewer steps.

Regarding the tracking issue I looked at another review of this issue and it was recommended to check all the hex bolts and make sure they are snug. Also some will wrap electrical tape around that tracking wheel that helps. I noticed in this video the Toolcker label on the machine is stamped 220v. Can this be used in a 110v outlet? Anybody?

Thank you for the tracking tip. I am running this on this Toolcker on 110v outlet. Im not sure why it says 220.

I have a new Toolcker 1 x 30 and not even an hour on it. Now the machine will not track no matter the amount of adjustment. Could it be the cheap belts they send with the machine?? Thanks and help or input is appreciated. Chuck

I immediately switched to CombatAbrasives.Com 1x30 belts. I bought them off there WebsiteI have never noticed an issue but did not use the stock belts much. I also use a 1x30 leather belt and a 1x30 felt belt with no issues. If the wheel to adjust the alignment is turned to far the belt wants to walk of so I turn it back until it walks the belt back to center. Good luck. I ordered mine from T-King on Amazon. Where did you order yours from. I noticed many places selling them.

You should be able to find your purchase on Amazon for a return. You do have to adjust tracking when going from foward to reverse on the belt.

I have never had tracking issues. Did something get damaged in shipping? Did you order from the same supplier or go with one of the cheaper outfits to order from. Mine was ordered from T-King with no tracking issues. Good luuck to you.
